Smooth and seemless checkin. Room has a beautiful view of the sea.

The tub overflows and I took showers in a flooded tub the shower head made a huge mess so water sprayed all over the place. I asked for more towels after the mess and housekeeping to help clean it up. They brought me a torn towel. And housekeeping left and the floor was still really wet. Outside smells really bad. The trash and seaweed accumulated and stinks horribly. They should clean it up every so often so it doesn’t smell so gross.

Overall the Hotel was great! The staff were awesome. The breakfast were great. The only thing I can say that were a problem was the internet signal in the room. Most of the time it was it was very difficult to get internet signal. However, the pro's outweighs to cons. I enjoyed my stay and will stay at the Princess again when I return for another visit.

Hotel has seen better decades. Clean, nice staff, however lots of deferred maintenance. On the waterfront but no beach. Big, but shallow pool. They were fixing part of the entrance to the casino, so they are working on it. Ok to stay a day or two, not really much to do around.

Our flight got canceled at BZE and we had to stay overnight. It was a $30 cab ride each way to Ramada Princess, and it was in an area that isn't very safe. Nice that it has a casino and movie theater in it, and the free included breakfast is good too. Most people from our cancelled flight was also at this same hotel, but don't go wandering around the city. There's no beach behind the hotel to lay out on either. Boo, but there is a hotel pool.

If you're traveling to Belize you have to see the entire country. Staying out on Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker isn't going to Belize as far as I'm concerned because you're stuck on an island and I've been to Belize 4 times now over the last 3 years. The Princess is the best hotel - maybe in the country - but at least in Belize City!! No other hotel sits right on the Caribbean Sea. The other hotels have some rooms with ocean views but the Princess has all the rooms facing the Caribbean 20 feet away. The FREE buffet breakfast is delicious and unbelievable both in quality, quantity and in service. The front desk ladies are adorable and very helpful. The rooms are large, clean, and have beautiful ocean views. I chose the Princess for all of my Belize visits because the staff make a visitor feel like family. I like the Princess because its a great HQ to head up to Mexico, west to Guatemala or south down to Placencia. To go out to the Cayes I can either hire a boat from the Princess marina or go downtown and take the water taxi's that only run 2-3 times a day. And at the end of the day I can get a great massage at the spa inside the Princess and then have a very healthy dinner in the hotel dining room or at the Calypso Bar on the water next to the marina!! I can't say anything bad about The Ramada Belize City Princess Hotel and that's why I stay there!!! If you want to stay on a Caye don't tell people you went to Belize!!! The Princess is the gateway to explore Belize!!!!

The bed was comfortable but there were roaches in the room and we had to wait over an hour after check in to get our rooms.

The first night was torture. Between 1:30-2 am my sister and I was awaken first by the phone then by insistent knocking at the door, which escalated to a banging which made it seem like the door would come off its hinges at any moment. Numerous calls were made to the reception desk. The pounding finally ceased; however, my sister and I were never contacted by anyone from the hotel. About 9:30 am that morning we spoke to the manager who apologized profusely and said that the military parties had checked out and one of them had made a mistake in his room number.

We had an incident the first night which could have turned out badly. The situation was diffused by the night security but no followup as to our condition was addressed by the night staff. It wasn't until in the morning when we approached the day shift that they jumped into action. We do accept the apologies of the day staff but it was a little too late. Hope this incident afforded management a review of their employee training.

We had no room key for the entire 6-night stay (system down); had to be escorted by the porter each time we wanted back into the room. No wi-fi in the room - had to go down to lobby or stand outside the room to get signals. Standard letter in the room "we are upgrading" - however the letter was undated. I question if there were any upgrades. The roof leaked in the eating areas. Management likes the USD prices and tourist dollars coming in; however, hotel ownership is not willing to spend these dollars to maintain the hotel for the type of revenue it generates from US tourists.

Walkable along the seaside to the National Museum, Image Factory Contemporary Art Space and Downtown.

It was above average. It was a one stop shop with restaurants, food, movie theatres, a pool and a casino.

I came in at 11am. My room wasn't ready yet. I know they had to turn over for the next day, so no problem. I finally was given a room around 3pm. There were no towels in the bathroom and the wifi didn't work in the room. I needed the wifi for work so I informed the front desk of the issue. They told me it would be corrected in 20 minutes with a reset and towels would be brought up. After 30 minutes reminder and a 1 hr reminder, neither problem had been resolved. So I went back down with all of my things and requested a different room. I was given another room around 5:30pm. The wifi was not working in this room either and their were still missing linens for the bathroom. I went through the same process. I finally got into a room with working wifi and towels at 7:30pm. Extremely frustrating day and not a good welcome to the property.

Comfortable hotel, but strong smells in elevators, lobby and casino. Nice staff and restaurants. Would still use again.

Internet didn't work in the rooms. TV's worked in one room and not others. There was a pool party going on with obnoxiously loud music playing that reverberated throughout the property. Armed guards at the front entrance. Had to wait an hour at check in because rooms were not ready.

Excellent staff. Have stayed here for last 8 years. Best for us.

I rented this hotel because I wanted access to the pool for the kids while I was in the city taking care of some business. When I booked I was not notified that the pool was not in service. Our room was at the far end of the hotel which was nice and quiet. However, when we needed to call room service our phone would not work. When we addressed this issue with the staff we were told that the phones are not working in certain rooms. Any requests we had would require a walk from one end of the hotel to the other to get to the lobby. We booked a room for 4. Staff stocks the room for 2. When we ask for additional supplied we were told that our room should only be for two. Upon check in, I was required to write all guess names on the info card and it clearly showed myself and 3 others. That is what we paid for but we got service for two and got a mouth full from the staff as if we were asking for a hand out.

The cost of hotel does not line up for what you get ( it's so over priced). Had to request a second room because tv was broken and telephone in my room was not working. Oh and you're not able to make local calls from your room. Will have to go to front desk to make a call. Breakfast buffet was the same everyday except for the type of bread served with the food. Also what they have is what you get. You will not get to order breakfast for a cost. If you can avoid staying here I strongly recommend you do so. My worst stay in Belize ever!!

excellent staff nice surroundings excellent food good service nice entertainment

Front desk staff was very impatient & unprofessional, so we ended up cutting our stay short & went to the Biltmore hotel.
