Park Plaza was good. The location is, in my opinion, excellent! The staff was ok. It seemed that any time i asked for something, (maybe 2 times?), they seemed annoyed. The restaurants close early in my opinion, then again its my understanding that Beijing is not a late night spot. I had put "do not disturb" on my door, and my room was cleaned anyways... can be a positive however you look at it. I really didnt want anyone in my room and my wish was not accommodated. The food is just OK. I might stay here again if i go back but its very standard.

This hotel is in a location that is very convenient for foreigners, it's nice with ample rooms. Service is ok but not excellent. If I go again to Beijing, I would book in this hotel again.

The location was great, the staff helpful and the bathroom was beautiful!

Nice hotel close to CBD and subway, clean room and good food, very friendly staffs

I did a lot of research on hotels to Beijing since it was my first time. I read the reviews and decided to stay at the Park Plaza. I wanted to give the hotel a 5 rating but unfortunately I could not because of certain staff. Front Desk Staff: They were OK, not overly friendly but polite. My only problem was when I complained about breakfast staff, they were basically unwilling to do anything about it (more on that to follow). Breakfast staff: Here is my main problem, when I asked to make 2 eggs sunny side up I was pointed to the "already" prepared over-easy eggs. When I asked for fresh eggs to be made, she used lack of English to acknowledge me. I even asked someone to translate and was told fresh eggs were "not available". I noticed a few minutes later that she prepared fresh eggs for other Asian guests. I even asked why she would not make eggs for me and she walked away. I went down to front desk and they were not willing to do anything about it. Very disappointing! Concierge: Very nice Room: Room was beautiful.. modern with all the amenities you would see at a 4 star hotel in the west. I was very happy with the room. Location: In a very tourist oriented area with Wangfujing St. within a 10 minute walk. The back of the hotel is literally adjacent Overall I enjoyed my stay at hotel.. but I was seriously offended by the outright refusal to make my eggs. In the future, I would consider staying at this hotel but avoid the very average breakfast at all cost.

I had a wonderful experience during my stay. The staff was very attentive to their guests even those who did not speak much English, effort makes a huge difference! Hospitality wise I felt like I was well tended to as my room very clean and comfortable. The location was also very convenient!

When I checked in after a long flight from the US they informed me that I was being upgraded to the Regents Hotel for the night and then I would have to return to Park Plaza for my 2nd night. I was very disappointed as I had to move back and forth but then when I returned to Park Plaza it turns out I booked a upgraded room with a lot of extras that were not honored at Regents. They didn't even tell me that I had all these upgrades and I lost them all for my 1st night. Other than that I loved my stay That was very disappointing Vidalia

Still as good as the first time. Excellent facilities, room and location.

Staffs are friendly and very helpful. Good experience

My wife and I always felt safe at this hotel. We walked to the Forbidden City and Tianan Square. There are a lot of little mom and pop places to eat. Of course, a Starbucks is only a few steps away from the hotel. We were only in Beijing for two days, but we were able to pack a lot of sightseeing in because everything was within walking distance.

Great location, spacious and clean rooms. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast buffet was just ok. Would definitely stay again.

Though it might not be as luxurious as its 5-Star Regent and Legendale neighbors, it compensates by delivering comparable modern accomodations at a reasonable price. Located just behind the Regent, it's as near as you can get to a subway station. Steps away from the Dengshikou subway station, it's a 10 minute walk to Wangfujing shopping center, another 5 mins to the famous street food and another 15 mins to the the Forbidden City. What was special were the small restaurants at the back of the hotel. For less than 4 US dollars, you get a decent full meal in a Chinese mom and pop diner. If you go the opposite way and cross the front street, there's a convenient store for water and sodas and a 7-11 nearby. At around 7pm, the street vendors come out selling hotdog Beijing style, diced fresh fruits and sliced meat sandwiches for about US 2 dollars. Value for money and quality, you can't go wrong at this prices. This hotel is similar to Panorama Hotel in Hongkong in terms of location and room accommodation.
