Tried to stay at Kerry Hotel but was fully booked so stayed at China World Hotel for 3 nights during the recent business trip and received excellent service at the Horizon Club. A manager there called Nancy Cao is really good and professional so I would like to share my experience in this review.
I love business travel and experiencing different places - normally Shangri-La is a good bet. But wow this is not on par. Breakfast service sparse at best, room doesn’t get serviced and the drip, drip -coffee machine leaking all over the place and that means someone has to replace it - late at night. I am sure there are better options in Beijing these days.
Conveniently located and linked to a premium mall which allows ease of access to train stations, taxis and lots of restaurants. Arrived late at night and they didn’t have my room. So upgraded me to a suite. Room is good and spacious like most china hotels. Service at check in and restaurants not the best though. Staff are generally nonchalant, quite a GAP versus Shang in shanghai and other locations.
l stayed at the china word hotel that with traditional chinese characteristics when i went to beijing on business.the staff was very kind and i enjoyed it very much.when i fell very tired after a long flight and jet lag.l went to the spa and met a lovely girl named kitty who served me .her smile was very touching and massage was very professional.the two-hour physiotherapy made me completely relaxed.thavk you very much!everyservice staff strained by a five-star hotel is so excellent
Beautiful Hotel in an excellent location. My stay was great after the intervention of the Duty manager. check-in late and check-out could be reviewed and make it more personalised. The transport from the airport to the hotel is quite expensive. Yes, one person was waiting for me at the airport but it does not give you priority access through the immigration. Still, have to queue. However, during the stay, the staff was attentive and helpful. Thank you
The first time I stayed at China World Hotel in Beijing was in 2017. I really enjoyed my stay then, and had a wonderful time at the Horizon Lounge. This year when I visited Beijing again, I wanted to come back here before going to see the rest of my family. The Horizon Lounge was even better than last time! The staff members including Lucy Zhao, Gavin Lee, Lily, and Bruce Liu were attentive and helpful. They were always pleasant and made my stay very enjoyable.
Excellent hotel - Mr. Wang and Mr. Dennis are outstanding. Ms. Caddie manages a wonderful and welcoming staff at reception. The clinic in the hotel is incredibly helpful and worth staying at this hotel. We have travelled extensively throughout Asia and this was the best. They were welcoming to families and business travelers.
Been to China world hotel a few times over last few years. Overall experience is good especially newly decorated rooms. Gym and pool are decent with good equipment and environment. Tried the hotel spa/massage on b2 and was quite impressed by the quality and service. The therapist, number 70, ema I think, was very friendly and massage was relaxing. Overall location, quality and experience, both hardware and software is good.
Enjoyed my stay at the China World Hotel. Room and bath were a good size, comfortable, and well maintained. Location - adjoined to a large high-end mall, subway stop below the hotel, walking distance to the Silk St market. Though it was far from my meeting locations and traffic can be standstill in Beijing, so you should consider that in choosing your hotel location. Exercise facilities - good sized gym (with locker room, pool, small rock climbing wall, oxygen room, steam room, jacuzzi - though small jet pool had cold water and larger pool with warm water had no or non-working jets?), three tennis courts (hard surface - looked nice though didn’t get a chance to try them), heard there are also table tennis tables. Services - the concierge was very helpful in arranging for taxis/car service, when asked on-site said they did not have an electrical adapter though I had called the hotel the week prior and asked if one would be available and was told yes. Staff was otherwise generally helpful and nice. Live music in the lobby in the afternoon, Food - only had breakfast at the hotel but the buffet was extensive with many Western and Chinese food options. One suggestion for the hotel would be to get another coffee/cappuccino machine - there was often a short line/wait to use the machine. Earlier hours (6-7:30) less crowded, by 8 AM the large room would get filled.
My stay at China World is wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and the service is wonderful. Especially from Ruby Fan from Housekeeping. She provided extra water and fresh fruit to my room and is very attentive. My stay was wonderful and would definitely recommend!
