Some of the reviews mentioned sewage smell. For clarity, this occurs when you flush the toilet and I was on the top floor but nonetheless still had the smell. The smell last for a couple minutes so its not too bad, just flush it when you are about to leave the bathroom. There are USA electrical ports so no adapters needed. They made the bed each day.
The Jade hotel was much better than I expected. It's located within walking distance to The Forbidden City, Tienanmen Square, Wangfujing Street, and the subway. It's located in a quiet area off of the main street. My room was clean and comfortable. Also, there is a very nice young girl who works as the concierge. She speaks english and can help you with tours to the Great Wall, Beijing Opera, etc. etc. There is a restaurant on site that serves good food and beer. The breakfast buffet is just OK, but if you pay in advance it's only 3 US dollars, so can't complain to much. All in all, I really enjoyed my stay there and would stay there again if I visit Beijing in the future.
The staff is very nice but the breakfast is okay. This place is just a very expensive youth hostel in middle of Beijing you better off booking real motel.
