Lovely but too expensive for italian family people Food and wine are very good but also expensive Staf is profectional and friendly Vegans people are welcome and food is very good Rooms are little and sometime wirhout bathrom
Very cute furnished and decorated house and rooms, the spa is gorgeous, the food delicious and the he staff very friendly. Only if you ask for sth, they some times forget, so you have to insist a little.
The hotel is warm and cozy such as the location where is situated. The only problem we had was with the skiing equipment at first and we had to get back and change it. The buffet at breakfast is really good and abundant, everything tempting even if the restaurant is expensive. Though, I guess those are normal prices in Switzerland. We had a short but good time there!
Was very nice. We when there for a short trip. Food great, staff very friendly. If you enjoy free time in the mountains but near the city's this is the right place. I will suggest it to all my friends.
Nice and cozy atmosphere. Very quiet, especially during Winter time, when the street up to the «passo della Novena» is closed. Very good cuisine with local specialties, good selection of vines although somewhat pricey. Friendly people
We had an economy room (underground room, without toilets but with a shower in the room and a broken bed...) for 100 frs. I have to point out that in the center of Luzern we paid 80 frs for a better type of accommodation. In addition, don't get as excited as we were for the "thermal baths" as the personal call it. You should really get ready to pay 20 frs per person for a hot tub, a tiny sauna and a self served hot tea. What a luxury wellness! The most disappointing thing is that you can't even use the hot tub the entire day even if you pay 20frs for those "thermal baths". So, no relaxing time after skiing, snowboarding or hiking. After all, the lady at the reception was "maybe" right.I quote: "It's Switzerland".
Its a nice and cosy small hotel, in middle of nature. The staff is very friendly and the food is great, also vegeterian and vegan. unfortunatly only one night there, but we looking forward to stay another time there
We booked the Luxury suite and I can tell you the room is ok (give the fact this is a 3* hotel) - there is bathtub with jacuzzi, fireplace (very nice!) and the room itself is large enough. We ate at the restaurant and I must say the choice is really good - also the quality is great. If you are vegan or intolerant you will find many alternatives (well done!). Now IMHO they should improve the followings services: 1) SPEED! Our glass of prosecco arrived after at least 10 minutes and after 1 minute arrived the appetizer - the prosecco is not that hard to prepare, bring it ASAP! 2) Breakfast - disappointment! Small and almost no choice. They also have soya yogurt but you must ask them for that (we noticed that at the end...) - here again we waited at least 15 minutes for our cappuccino and espresso. 3) SPA: if you charge 19.-- chf for the spa (even in 5* hotels the suites have complimentary access to the spa) then you should offer a pleasant experience. The sauna is actually cold and the whirlpool too. Unfortunately nobody came during our spa experience so we couldn't ask to raise the temperature. No locker room and is not advised to change in your room - there's no direct access to the spa from the room. As I said - nice but not more. Prices are a way too high for what they offer.
We booked a standard double room for two nights in January 2017. The rate was 258 CHF (!) including breakfast. The rate was unbelievable expensive for a location in the middle of nowhere and for such an old, uncomfortable hotel. The rooms were really tiny, very old-fashioned, they smelled like a cheap perfume and the "TV" was a computer monitor with a room antenna without satellite programms etc.. But the worst climax of all deficiency was the fact, that the bathroom wasn't included in the room; it was seperatly placed down the floor!!! In 2017!!! For such a rate, a room without included WC and shower! After complaining, the manager showed us another room; even smaller (!), with bathroom: but for a surcharge of 59 CHF!!! Allthough the room was payed in advance, we left after one horrible night in an uncomfortable, dusty bed, an ugly bathroom and such a small room, in which we couldn't even open our luggage outside the bed because the space round the bed wasn't enough for a small suitcase! We know, the hotel has some good assesments in the www and on Facebook. And we really asked ourselves: have they been in the same hotel as we??? We don't know, how other people could enjoy this hotel. But we know: Never again Chalet Stella Alpina! What a pity for our money!
We stayed here two nights with a wonderbox vaucher. The hotel is good for hiking also in winter skiing or just to stay and enjoy. The spa is small but nice, the same fore the rooms. Lots of nice details!
