I've had afternoon tea at the Icon and its always a real treat; we regularly book it as a treat for our staff and it has been great to see how the hotel has improved year on year. However this was the first time I'd come in a small group with just my three year old and two mature Aunties. Rob and the team were fantastic as always; the sandwiches were fresh and delicious (especially the smoked salmon), the scones were warm and the tea hot and plentiful. A very pleasant afternoon in the delightfully eccentric lounge. Lovely atmosphere, great value and fab staff!

I stay here quite regular and the standards are excellent. It's centrally located although parking is minimal I can normally get in or safely on the road outside. Bar and lounge area are stylish and a great selection of drinks and bar open 24/7! Rooms are luxury furnished comfortable and bathroom and facilities excellent. Breakfast good didn't stay for dinner but loads of restaurants around within 5 mins walk. Great, professional and friendly staff. Ask for a treat room if you want perfect quiet as the noise can sometimes be a bit of background noise although rooms well insulated. Excellent.

Recently stayed 5 nights here, lone female, mid fifties. Every member of staff I met was always friendly, helpful and courteous, just what you want but don't always get from hotel staff. Room was comfortable and had all you would want for a visit. Everywhere was clean and well kept. Would have absolutely no hesitation in staying here again and/or recommending it to other travellers.

Quirky hotel that looks nice in the lobby area. Staff were pleasant and friendly. I didn't have an evening meal but breakfast was the usual fare although the eggs were cooked to order. The hotel says it has had s refurbishment but the rooms are still a bit dated and in need of some basic maintenance.

I stayed here for one night midweek on business in October. The room was big enough, and came with the usual amenities. Quite similiar to a Travelodge I suppose. The hotel has a small gym too, but I didn't check it out. I definitely wouldn't recommend eating in the 'restaurant', it's very basic. I had a pizza, side salad and a large glass of wine costing just shy of £20 - if I wasn't claiming that back on expenses, I would have been pretty miffed. Waiting staff were lovely though, really friendly and attentive. I didn't grab any breakfast as I had to catch an early(ish) train, only some fruit juice. Overall I'd say this hotel is fine for a stop over for flying in or out of Luton or for business, but probably not one for pleasure.

Staff are very very friendly and courteous. rooms are the perfect size. location was close to all services and facilities I required during my stay. and the design is so modern, and artistic. The Hotel has character. I love it

We stayed here for an early flight from Luton and thought it so good we are coming back just for pleasure. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful - you don't get a corporate, plastic smile and greeting here. We were amazed to find a parking spot was allocated to us and marked out with our name, never had that before. I assume it was because we were on the park and fly package, which is excellent value and nice that the car isn't moved off site, like at other places. The transfers to/from the airport were perfect, no hassle. All so well organised by the hotel. Loved the quirky and interesting interior and enjoyed cocktails in the bar. We also got a lovely surprise when the bar staff found it was a birthday. Fantastic night's sleep (just too short with the early flight). Clean, comfy, spacious room with tea/coffee facilities. Quiet, although we were at the back - not sure what it would be like at the front, although it looked like good double glazing. Excellent bathroom, heated mirror, toiletries. They remembered us when we came back after our holiday and after the flight we really appreciated that there is free water/fruit at reception. Touches like that make a difference. In conclusion - an excellent place, particularly the staff. It made us happy.

Always enjoy my stay at the Icon because the staff is so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are quite comfortable and relaxing. Excellent choice at breakfast. Conveniently located for shopping and transport.

Flying out of Luton Airport at silly o'clock in the morning meant this hotel is ideally situated. Car park is rather small but once inside you will be pleasantly surprised! You certainly cant pigeon hole this hotel, its a bit quirky with some great features.....

I've stayed here once before and really enjoyed it but this time I absolutely loved it! It's been totally revamped since I was last there (it was new before!!) and I was told they've spent half a million this summer. They've also achieved 4 stars and I was amazed it wasn't before. It truly is more like 5 stars. The revamp includes new furniture, a real life classic Mini (cut in half) overhanging in reception, amazing deceptive mirrors and other great features throughout. An amazing boutique, very groovy hotel. The quirky stuff is very clever and all put together so well. Rooms are spotless, new little touches like bespoke bed-side lamps depicting iconic movie stars, a real classic Vespa in a fish tank, a real classic Fiat 500 over the front door and so on. Food is very good. I've had the breakfast and dinner. Eggs cooked to order. Restaurant is Italian with Italian chefs. The pasta is amazing. Beyond a doubt though, what makes this good hotel great is the staff. Nothing is too much trouble. It's plain to see that they enjoy their job and take seriously looking after their customers. Brilliant service !
