The hotel was sold out but it felt quite comfortable. The pool is a nice size next to a large lounging area with a ping pong table. The room was very clean and quiet -- except for our kids. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hot breakfast was okay. Couldn't swallow the eggs but the sausage was good. I'm a tea drinker and I appreciated the clean hot water available all day instead of making hot water in an old coffee maker like most hotels do. The Golden Corral had the best steak I've ever had from GC.
The air conditioning unit did not work in our room. It came on occasionally, but did not respond to lowering the thermostat. I was told the extreme heat outside was the cause. Since I reserved online, I have to hassle for the $20 I have been offered for our discomfort. I'm thinking it should be more than $20, but I'll take what I can get. PLUS: we had 4 tiny pillows for our king bed. We had been travelling for a week staying in a variety of places-all had great pillows and many of them. Holiday Inn should follow suit.
The hotel was as expected, it was the employees that made the difference. Very nice people that made the stay enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again.
It was hard to sleep the airconditioner kept shutting off. Would get warm in the room at night and made it hard to sleep.
the pool drain was broken so we were unable to use it during our stay and the grand kids like this the most. they were replacing the ice machines so we went a day without ice because they pulled out all of the ice machines instead of doing one at a time so there would be ice available for the guests
