Overall average experience. We booked a room with a king bed and got a room with 2 full beds me and my wife had to slerp in separate beds because they were to small. There was no hot water there were people living on a boat tied to our balcony so we had to leave the curtains closed the whole time. The food was terrible except for the last night there was a steak that was good other than that it was hot dogs 3 times a day and dried up burger pattys. There were banana rats everywhere the front desk ran out of towels and the dive shop was out of snorkeling gear to rent. We finally got to rent gear on out last day. The toilets barely flushed and the toilet seats were the wrong size. The bar only had one kind of beer and the mixed drinks came in a 6 oz cup. Got eaten by mosquitoes in the lobby we had to go outside to escape them. None of the staff spoke English and transportation to leave the resort was hard to come by and expensive. The only positives were the beach was beautiful and the reef was amazing. This place has so much potential but seems to be run poorly

Brief Summary: 1. Beach, WONDERFUL, well maintained 2. General facility, needs MUCH maintenance and care 3. Food, not much variety, very similar every day 4. Staff, good, some spoke English

The beach was amazing!!! The most beautiful on the island.

Entertainment was great, the entertainment team is what saved the trip for us! Poor customer service Not convenient for international travelers Place needs an upgrade

There was no fresh water anywhere. Pool was salt water pumped in from the ocean. Tap water and shower were saltwater. Bar had only 1 brand of beer and the cheapest liquor they vould buy. Food was buffet style and at bedt was average. Thete was no beverages in your room, no soda no beer or bottled water. I had no water for 2 days and had no hot water for most of my stay. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

The property itself is gorgeous and the beach is nice. The music is too loud day & night. The food tasted pretty good, but not much variety. There is no food available after 9pm and nothing for a few hours during the day. The rooms are decent, but the tv quit working on day 2 and was never fixed. The bathrooms need remodeled and new plumbing. The water pressure is awful. During peak shower times you can't get any water at all and can't flush the toilet. The resort can accept credit cards, but usually won't. They want cash only for everything, but they won't make change for you most of the time either. Depends on the mood of the front desk person. Their answer for most everything is no, and when they do say they can help, they don't follow thru. I twisted my ankle and asked for an ice pack. They couldn't be bothered by things like first aid, so the answer was "sorry, can't help you," They said they would give me one time courtesy transportation to get something, but then decided not to unless I paid. I ended up getting a trash bag with ice from the bartender. The bartenders and other staff are all friendly. The included drinks were tolerable, but if you wanted a good drink you had to pay extra. We needed help contacting the airline and could not dial out from our phones with US service and could not call via wi-fi for some reason. Thankfully the manager was walking by and was helpful. Management is in a different building and probably unaware of what goes on at the front desk.

I was very disappointed with this stay at Fantasy Island. 1) I reported to the front desk and showed them a photo of a bra or bikini top left on the chair in my room. Not sure as I would not touch it and nobody went to take it out. 2) This resort is meant to be all inclusive. Their bar closes at 10pm. I went to the bar right at 10pm and the bartender gave me a weird look and told me he would not serve me as it was 10pm and he was closing. I went and sat and observed several people after me coming and getting drinks from him even after turning off the lights to the bar. I am not trying to pull the racial line even though i am colored and these other people were white. I once again took a photo and told another staff member who told me they had heard similar complaints. Was very disappointed with hearing this. I would not recommend this hotel after this.

Nice place to spend a vacation. Enjoyed the beaches and food very much.

The pictures and advertising are great but the actual property needs a lot of work. The "all inclusive" deal includes horrible food and cheap liquor. The beach is beautiful and that's about it. The owner takes in lots of money and is not investing in the property, the rooms need attention, simple things like lightbulbs need to be replaced. The music that played at the resort did not relate to the clientele there. The place is run down and I would not return to the hotel. We found ourselves spending money to go out of the resort to eat, we were done after a couple days with the same stuff. We have traveled much and we are not picky at all but we at.least deserve to have descent food and drinks. Even getting coffee during breakfast was a hassle or two clean towels for the beach. I can go on and on as to why I would not go back no recomend anyone to go there until the new owner decides that his property needs some serious TLC as well as clients.

The island is breathtaking and the staff is amazing!!! I loved that we did not have to fight for beach area or chairs or the bartender. :) I do wish the resort would have warned us about sand fleas. If you go please read us on bite prevention. Lots of things I have read said it is easy. I ended up with about 200 bites that appeared after I returned home. Trust me they are miserable!!! I will go back to Fantasy Island, but I will be better prepared for sand fleas. Actually any beach vacation I take I will be prepared for sand fleas.

The beach is amazing. But the food and drinks were horrible.

Beautiful island but 2 star hotel... Bad service, internet only in front of the front desk... old and dirty...

Lionela (SALES) was not helpful at all and she seems to only want to place blame instead of helping - Because of her we waited an extra 30 mins at the airport and we got the ride because the driver went inside to look for other guest. The driver showed me she did not confirm our arrival and when we got the the hotel she was full of excuses. I also made an special request to have the room decorated that she confirmed at lest twice. I was expecting everything to be ready but when I arrived nothing was done and again she was quick to point blame. Luckily the front counter girl was able to get it done for me. That front girl was AMAZING. If we take Lionela out the experience would had been much better. -

Hotel charge extra for food, beer, and any tips of alcohol beverage also beach toalls this is a very disappointed location.

This resort offers so much more than meets the eye. I was looking for a quiet get-a-way and nice beach. The resort is older but was being renovated. It wasn't fancy but it was clean. Our room was always nice and cool, the food was good and the inclusive bar was very convenient. The snorkeling was magnificient. We had a few Cappucin monkeys visit us on the beach that were adorable. I absolutely had so much fun feeding them and holding them as they curled up on my chest. There was a beautiful peacock that would wander into the resort lobby which to me, was so cool. The private beach was always kept immaculate and was raked every morning to remove leaves and debris that might have came in overnight. I felt very safe. The staff were so friendly and offered much information and helpful tips to make the Island visit less confusing. If you just want to visit a beautiful beach, relaxing atmosphere, yet not expecting "fancy", this is your place. I am going back as soon as I can!

Went for the diving, not the hotel and/or shopping! Will definitely be going back!
