Location along I-35 is very good, although semi truck traffic in the area is overwhelming. Check-in and parking is quick and convenient. Staff at initial check-in was friendly, however my room was not fit for occupation: Tools were laying about, an unmanned vacuum was running, and the place smelled like a overfilled porta john on a summer day. I was immediately given another room. The 2nd room was clean, but the microwave had its door damaged and it took some time to figure out how to open it. Similarly, HVAC's grill was buckled and damaged making the louvers inoperative. It worked well. The t.v. remote was missing the battery cover. The carpet was discolored in the front area, and soaking wet between the bed and wall. I did like the big blow up photo of the U.S.S. Kidd. On check-out, someone was in the office, but failed to come out to greet me. Overall, the rooms seemed worn out, and hotel operations disjointed. That turdacious smell was too much. It may take days to blow that away.

The house keepers were very nice and did a good job. Front desk staff not so much.

Great staff and location however I spent 15-20 minutes looking for it because of the recent name change, the building still had the old name. Room was cheap and pet friendly but they charged me half the room cost to have my dog stay. I’m not sure if they gave me an old room because I had my dog or if all the rooms are in need of repair. Huge mold spot, room smelled of mold, toilet did not want to flush, bathtub and sinks backed up. Room overall was not clean.

This property was in a great location for where I needed to be the next morning. However, when I checked in, the agent was rude and lacked serious customer service skills. She didn’t greet, asked what I need or anything. She just stood there. Once I got my room key she never said anything where the room was located. The remote didn’t work with the tv and there was mold in the toilet. I know this isn’t the Four Seasons, but management could still take a bit more pride.

Nice job of remodeling, but maintenance was terrible. Towel rack was falling off the wall, electrical outlet was nearly totally out of the wall, tub faucets were loose, miserable looking calk work around tub and poorly kept dining area

I do not recommend it, it was not clean enough and the room was wet

Good. Nice staff. Continental breakfast. Wifi was adequate for email, not streaming.

Older facility, needs cleaning and updating. Cigarette burn on bedspread,

There was bugs on my bed and it was so humid with the air on my clothes were getting wet

My son leave his favorite pillow and the staff was great and found it after we left and checked out.

Checking in late at night 10 p.m. to basically a truck stop. Then trying to change my room to two queens instead of one king, the woman behind the counter was unmovable. I would have paid anything at that point to do so. She refused to even discuss it. Course it wasn't hard for her to do, behind a locked window. Then the room, ugh. Shabby and unkept.

I would recommend this motel due to the price and the atmosphere. Te clerks are friendly and the guests are mostly families. The rooms needed a little work but they aren't the worse in the world. You aren't going to get a 5 star hotel, but this is a good place to stay if you are on a budget.

This hotel was a perfect lil getaway spot when you just need a place to rest your head for a bit:) The beds are big and comfy.

Came in late, stayed overnight and left early. Would stay again. Very comfortable.

Looks like hotels from the 70's. If traveling through, keep on going. Baton Rouge has some of the nastiest rooms in the country. Most of furniture in room was old. Look like bug powder applied around door frame to the bathroom. Motel 6 across the street would have been cheaper and probably better accomadations.

perfect for the quick stay, clean room and a great value

Needed decent place to stop on route across country. It did the job and at a fairly affordable price.

Close to LSU. Great price. Clean and comfortable room

Everything was clean and orderly. The room was quiet and comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. Will probably stay here again when visiting this area.
