Very clean and neat hotel room. Friendly staff. Not too far of a drive from New OrleNs. About an hour. Highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

Staff refused to do anything, shower control was broken and the maintenance man rigged it back together, they need to a plumber.

Room was full of pet hair; the hotel appeared old and not newly renovated as stated or suggested in the photos. Will definitely not stay here again unless there's no other option.

This is an older hotel and is great for travelers who do not want the Hampton status and fluff. It provides great service by Front Desk, Housekeeping, ground care, breakfast bar and has an outdoor pool. I spent weeks here and the staff was refreshing helpful, unlike the people of the Pacific Northwest. The "Southern hospitality," was ever present and a pure delight in every way.

Convenient location. Good breakfast. Good price and clean comfortable room.

All was great. One recommendation would be to have small coffee pot instead of the one cup dispenser. I always bring extra coffee because we are big coffee drinkers. We did go to lobby to get more but would have been more convenient to make in our room.

Old Hotel needs to be updated and cleaned. Staff okay and location good.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice and clean rm and comfortable bed.

staff was very accommodating but the facilities really need some help.

I felt like I slept in a barroom! NO GOOD! Staff was very nice and I think the room would have been comfortable had it not been for the terrible smoke smell.

The room was clean, the price was reasonable, and the staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed my stay there....I would recommend this hotel to a friend for a quick last minute getaway. Plus the location was great, alot of shopping stores and place to eat were close.

The hotel was quite adequate for my needs and reason for my being in Baton Rouge. The staff all, were friendly and helpful. My room was most comfortable, well kept, clean . The breakfast was very good with a variety that should have pleased most guests.

My complaint with this room is the door. I pointed out the problem to the desk clerk after checking in and again the next day to another clerk, but neither one had maintenance fix or even look at the problem. I showed them that there was a gap between the door and the frame large enough that one could see people walking past WHILE THE DOOR WAS CLOSED! This is a security issue and it really needs to be addressed. I do hope you will keep this in mind before booking someone else in this hotel.

Initial room they gave us was on ground floor and the window couldn't shut and there was a 1/2" crack with outside air pouring in. Went to desk and attendant was outside smoking with her guy buddy, but placed us quickly in a 2nd room which was ok. The bathrooms are dated, but overall room was clean, and adequate. Older hotel with a very small lobby. B=fast ok. Went to check out/return keys and a sign on front desk said they were on an errand and would return shortly! Never saw that before!

the clerk was very nice. the room was nice and clean and the location was great.

Stayed there for LSU football game. Good location, but hotel is older. Staff was nice.

The room was clean, comfortable and adequate for a short business trip. The walls are very thin so I could hear the front desk punching holes with their squeaky hole puncher, the elevator opening, toilet from neighbor flushing etc. If your a light sleeper like me, might be hard to rest well. Other than that, room needs updating but for the price I would still recommend it.

We arrived late after traveling all day to be given a room with one bed, when I had requested two double beds. I went downstairs to talk to the person at the desk and they told me all of the double bed rooms had been taken; I had booked this room almost two months in advance. He then said he "thought" he had one available and sent us to another room. We walked in and the TV was on and there was someone's keys and snacks on the dresser. I went back downstairs to tell him someone was already in that room! I asked for a refund but was told he could not do that since I did not book directly through the hotel. I told him I would go back to the first room since I knew no one was in there. BAD experience!!

Dear buckeye: I’ve read your review, I'm very sorry you experienced issues while being our guest. We are pet friendly,l but the pets of other guest should not have affected your stay and I'm sorry it did. The staff should have taken care of the issue. I will also get with maintenance on the shower. I appreciate your feedback; that is definitely not the experience we want you to have when staying with us! Your feedback will help us improve our operation. Your comments will be shared with our team, and it’s through comments such as yours that we’re able to improve.
