The photos online are a little misleading as to what the condition of your room will be like. The rooms were dirty, the phones did not work, and overall it felt like a cheap motel. On the positive side, the hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was on point.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was wonderful!

This review will be based over last 2 stays at the property. First time I walked in there was a small Oder looked in dishwasher was filled with black water had a few errands to run so I when to the front desk told them about it should be fixed when I get back. Maintenance man only started the dishes washer still had brown water in it when i returned. By the time I returned I pulled the sheets back where I found a Blue finger nail. Made me wonder if the sheets had been clean so I when down got clean sheets. Told the front desk about what had been and and brought the blue finger nail that was in the bed. Was offered a discount on the next time I stayed there. Next stay was not so well either even with the discount. Walk in go to use the restroom there's a towel half in the toilet half out and toilet seat was down. Called front desk asked if there was a reason for that She said no maybe it fell when housekeeping was cleaning I advised her the toilet seat was down The lady then said then I don't know housekeeping needs to get it together she said is everything else ok I said I haven't noticed anything else. I when to the kitchen area just like last stay coffee maker had previous guest coffee leftovers. Trash can had i don't know in it. Previous guest food waste was under microwave. To dirty Air Filters. They was sold out so I was unable to change rooms I was told. Housekeeping was gone for the day.

My room was filthy - it had mold and extreme dust. Although I complained to the hotel multiple times, the hotel never properly cleaned the room. A manager never contacted me to assist in getting the room cleaned and after one of my multiple complaints to the hotel, I was told that the room had been "deep cleaned" so the hotel viewed the matter as resolved. The room was never, in fact "deep cleaned" and although a manger was supposed to come to my room to inspect and see the condition of the room, one never did. The mold and dust was so bad in the room that I had to sleep elsewhere for two nights and the hotel refused to provide any compensation for me not being able to use my room. I complained to the better business bureau, but the hotel was as non-responsive to the better business bureau as it was to me. Could not add my photos to this review as they the files are larger that what Orbitz allows - but the photos of the filthy "deep cleaned" room are all posted on yelp or the better business bureau's website.

I was a bit concerned when we arrived because the hotel was right next to the interstate, but we had a courtyard facing room which was surprisingly quiet. The free breakfast was fairly typical, but there was plenty of food and enough room that we weren't crowded (at least at the time we were there) in the breakfast area. My one complaint was that there were TV's everywhere in the breakfast area; I would have preferred a quiet area. The pool and pool deck were nice, both in the morning when we would sit out with a cup of coffee and in the evening. The hotel served us well because the location was close to the person we were visiting and convenient to get to downtown for our "sightseeing".

We were in town for 2 Art Shows with a very demanding schedule. Our room was quiet, clean, and very comfortable. It was just the rest we needed between our two shows. Everyone employee we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again!

This was my first stay at Richmond Inn & Suites in Baton Rouge and it won't be my last. The hotel has spacious rooms and are well maintained. There is a pool and basketball court. I stayed on the second floor and had a balcony that has a view of the courtyard. Breakfast is served every morning. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is planning a trip to Baton Rouge.

The rooms are dated and bathrooms small. There are no elevators to the second floor. Wouldn't stay again, hoped for more based on reviews.

In town for the LSU game. Very close proximity to campus. We enjoyed staying here. The room was spacious and the suite was a great size. Loved the breakfast and I was allowed to check in early! The only problem I had was while clean and looked nice, the hotel room had a musky old smell.

Great experience. The staff was friendly and courteous. Will be back.

Cleaan friendy staff comfy beds close to everything

I had higher expectations before our time in Baton Rouge due to positive reviews. This hotel needs updating and was noisy by major freeway. The bathroom was small, glad we were only 1 to a room. I thought I was getting a fridge with a freezer, but no freezer, and no microwave. No elevator to second floor. Next time I visit I will not return to this hotel.

Good experience. Very friendly staff. Loved the breakfast: )

Perfect for business and pleasure. .Great location. Suites are large and economical.

The hotel was great. We had a suite with full kitchen, den, fireplace, and two queen beds. The full breakfast was also great. I will stay here in the future when I attend LSU football games.

Great clean room. Love jacuzzi. Great we had a suite because husband snored. Will stay again for sure.

Everything was perfect! The free breakfast saved me a lot of money. Perfect location, close to LSU.

One of the best business trip values I have had this year and I travel on business every week. The breakfast items served were excellent!

Perfect anniversary getaway. Will be there again next year.

Room ( Executive suite ) was clean & Spacious for a hotel room .Room had a nice tv.,work desk ,a 2 seat couch,& a regular chair .Breakfast buffet was better than avg, .Didn't have a lot a interaction with staff , But the little I did have they where pleasant enough . Whould have no reservations about staying there on my next trip to baton rouge area .

Jamie, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback about your stays with us. We use this feedback to focus on improving whenever and wherever possible. Though we are still dealing with the affects from the historic flood in South Louisiana, that is no excuse for the problems that you encountered. I have addressed the issues mentioned with our maintenance, housekeeping, and front desk to prevent these issues from reoccurring in the future. We would like for you to give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations and would like to offer you half off a future stay with us. Safe travels and Happy Holidays. Maria, I am sorry that you feel that we did not exceed your expectations during your stay with us. Unfortunately, your stay occurred right after the major flooding in Baton Rouge. As was posted online and at the front desk, we were operating under a state of emergency and only had a skeleton crew since most of our employees were affected and lost everything, as well as most of our guests. We allowed anyone not satisfied with the limited service and no housekeeping to cancel or check out at no charge since we had thousands of people on our waiting list and could easily re-rent the room. A member of management did address your issues and our Executive Housekeeper personally went to your room to clean it. I hope that you will give us another opportunity to exceed your expectations in the future. Jennifer Holmes General Manager
