we had an amazing stay at this hotel, much better than expected. It is a 4 start hotel but actually it could be a 5star. The room was clean, large, comfortable. It even has robes and jacuzzi! toiletries from clarins. we couldnt ask for more. our son and us could all sleep comfortably in the enormous bed. And we havent been charged to have our son with us.
We stayed for 1 night with 2 dogs. They advertise as pet friendly and they certainly were. We were welcomed in the bar and although on this occasion we chose to eat elsewhere, we would have been able to comfortably dine in the bar area too. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable hotel. Secure and easy private parking on site. Great location. Will definitely visit again.
The hotel has a very good location. The teams are pro and helpful. Rooms are spacious, and beds comfortable. Breakfast is very good, but you had to add the parking to the bill. The hotel is at 5 min of the main beach of Biarritz and the casino, and at 10/15 min to the aquarium : a very good point!
The hotel is well located and here all the good that can be said about this hotel. Despite being well located, reaching it is far from easy. If you arrive with a car in front of the hotel you can not stop as it is the entrance to the main street of Biarritz and you have to go directly to the parking, parking which is accessed through a hidden alley in a unique way and that to get there you have to Take a huge turn The parking is outdoors so if you arrive raining as it happened to us the operation becomes too complicated, adding that the parking bell is placed in such a way that if or if you have to get off the car to enter or leave the parking. The check in was quick and upon arriving at the room we see that the window is open. Obviously the room towards a huge cold, if in the street there are 2 degrees so that we leave the window open? Then I realized it was because of the musty smell. The room is composed of separate bathroom, hall with wardrobe and bedroom. The bedroom is fine, it is spacious, with a carpet that has known better times and decoration that screams for a re-stiling. The bathroom is the worst of all. Separate bathroom, where the toilet is imprisoned in a room with no window or ventilation. There is shower and bathtub. The shower, in better times with a glass screen, today said screen does not exist which makes the mini-shower an unpleasant experience. If you opt for the bathtub, it is possible that the same Marie-Antoinette would bathe in it, otherwise I understand that they still maintain that bathtub and those tiles so old and poorly maintained. In the bathtub there is a fabric curtain that when you open the hot water faucet it sticks to your body and you get really sick. The soap and shower gel are in boats attached to the wall. The towels and sheets have known other decades of splendor but now they are often washed and they are not new. The hotel cries out for a top-to-bottom renovation, old furniture, old sheets and towels, old carpets, musty smell, chipped doors. The door between the hall and the bedroom makes a noise that deserves to appear in a Dracula movie. The restaurant is expensive, with little variety and with an air of old. When I refer to old I do not mean vintage or noble, it is old, decrepit that does not invite to enter or that it is pouring in the street.
We stayed here for one night whilst driving back to the UK. The hotel is "tired" and in need of refurbishment. Having said that the staff were absolutely excellent and should be congratulated on their desire to please - especially the waitress/barmaid from Quebec
A really great stay. Conveniently located, just a short walk to the beach & sea front. We arrived at the hotel late, but the hotel staff welcomed us warmly and found us a secure parking space. We were too late to dine in the hotel restaurant, however we found an amazing Chinese restaurant around the corner, which we would highly recommend. Our room was great, very spacious. The Clarins bathroom products were wonderful, we all felt very pampered. We had a great time and would definitely stay again.
Excellent hôtel, very close to the beach. The room was very clean. Very confortable. I recommend this hotel for families with children. Even though the weather was not so good, we really enjoy our stay!
Fantastic location with a very comfortable room. Didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hotel during the day but always got a great nights sleep! Favorite part was being able to walk straight into town from the front door. Also the shower/bathroom was fantastic. Excellent stay.
staff excellent, Bar manager and the rest of the staff excellent, great position next to the beach and good restaurants but the hotel restaurant takes some beating. will stay next time we drive to Spain
This hotel has a feel of faded grandeur about it but after some rather uncomfortable nights spent in other hotels earlier in our trip we appreciated the comfortable room. Like most French hotels there were no tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast was pricey. However, the location was excellent and in general I would recommend the hotel as a base for a few days in Biarritz.
