Excellent hôtel, very close to the beach. The room was very clean. Very confortable. I recommend this hotel for families with children. Even though the weather was not so good, we really enjoy our stay!
Fantastic location with a very comfortable room. Didn't spend a whole lot of time at the hotel during the day but always got a great nights sleep! Favorite part was being able to walk straight into town from the front door. Also the shower/bathroom was fantastic. Excellent stay.
staff excellent, Bar manager and the rest of the staff excellent, great position next to the beach and good restaurants but the hotel restaurant takes some beating. will stay next time we drive to Spain
This hotel has a feel of faded grandeur about it but after some rather uncomfortable nights spent in other hotels earlier in our trip we appreciated the comfortable room. Like most French hotels there were no tea/coffee making facilities and breakfast was pricey. However, the location was excellent and in general I would recommend the hotel as a base for a few days in Biarritz.
I was surprised at the price for a 4* hotel, although it was a special price; however, the price was about right for what it is. The star rating in France is largely based on the size of the rooms, the lobby and the staff being bilingual. The hotel has all of these things covered. Pros: *Restaurant on-site with tasty daily specials-breakfast had French pastries AND scrambled eggs, bacon and eggs you could hard-boil . . . although this was all around a corner in the back & I had to ask where it was (normally I wouldn't pay 15 Euro, but the cafe nearby wanted 9 Euro for bread, pastry and a coffee!) *My room and bathroom were huge *The location is phenomenal - right in the center of town *The staff are really friendly *They have private parking *I had a jetted tub in my room! Cons: *The hotel is really dated. It looks like it was really nice maybe 10+ years ago and hasn't been renovated since. *The beds are hard. I mean really hard. They had put mattress toppers on them, but one was ratty and thin (I always check the corners of beds for bed bugs, no matter what). I slept horribly the first night on the one bed, but the other one was a little softer and I switched to it. If you like a REALLY firm mattress, this is your place. *If you arrive late at night, like me, forget the parking lot. Two spaces were available - one was wedged in by the gate and I only fit in by circling the lot & coming back (driving a subcompact); the other was unusable because two larger cars had to park over the lines to fit. Of course, a lot of French parking spaces are really small, so be prepared. I would stay again if I could get a better (or second) mattress topper. I don't really mind a dated hotel with good prices when the location is great - I only care about comfortable, clean and location!
Good location. The hotel offers parking in the backyard. Short walk to the beach and lots of restaurants. The room was clean and nice. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. Bearritz is a beautiful city, well worth a visit.😊
The hotel is good for what we paid. The location is central and the rooms are adequate and clean. There was some refurbishments going on in reception which involved us having to cover our mouths when walking through as there was so much dust and walk over equipment while the work was going on. The staff kindly let us check in early. We decided to eat breakfast in the hotel. It was not included in our room rate. It was very expensive for what we had. It was €15 pp for a continental breakfast which we thought was far too over priced as the selection was not great. Would recommend for the price & location but perhaps eat elsewhere for breakfast.
Very good location, comfy rooms & bar, good wifi, parking available. Their round the clock staff is outstanding - big shout out to Sebastien (hope I got the name right) for being so accommodating. Will come back.
Very well located hotel. We stayed in a superior room which was a very specious although the whirlpool bathtub was a little aged. Staff were friendly and helpful. The only issue was that the checkin was delayed.
The facilities were clean and modern. It is an easy walk into the town of Biarritz. There is a restaurant which good food and there are some small eateries/restaurants nearby if you feel like going out in the evenkng. The staff helped me organise car hire to drive to Spain for the day; very helpful.
