Property was in a quaint old building, with public sitting areas, coffee room and decent breakfast. Rooms are very rustic, small but have character. No phones or TVs in individual rooms, but one large TV in common area. Innkeeper was friendly and accommodating. Closeness to ski area was about 4 miles, some restaurants close by plus supermarket across the street. Price / value ratio was good and breakfast included.

The owner Frank was terrific. He only purchased the property 2 years ago and has done a lot to maintain the unique charm and decor. He made us the best waffles I’ve ever had with walnuts, chia seeds, blueberries, and bananas. He also provided additional high quality organic options including for breakfast including organic coffee. It’s affordable and we are definitely going back.

Disappointing. The innkeeper after like we were an inconvenience. We were told light breakfast for off-season, but our room rate didn't reflect off-season. We were out in a room so small we couldn't fit our luggage. It was so hot we were sweating, but we couldn't leave the window open because there wasn't a screen and we were getting bugs. There was poop on the front of the toilet that wasn't from us. The room was like a fun house because it sloped. We couldn't wait to leave.

Room was small with nowhere to sit. A small table with a couple of chairs would have made a big difference.

Very enjoyable!!

Great room in the heart of Waitsfield. Just what I needed on a ski overnight.

Vicky greeted us with a smile and the check in was smooth and painless. Our room was clean and as represented online. We did not eat at the Inn because there were plenty of places nearby to eat. We were there for a wedding and the Inn is located in a prime location on the main street. There is parking on site and places to lounge on the property inside and outside. If I am ever back in the Vermont area, I will be staying here again.

Yes Smallest room in a 200 year old building, the sloping floor and size of the room, the reason it is priced low, the double bed as well, recommended for 1 person, not 2. The free continental breakfast is the same in season or not, when you stayed in the Inn all the options were available, we have since gone to Buffett style, Im sorry you didn't like the breakfast. Our housekeeping staff while not perfect sanitize and clean the rooms complete. if something was missed I apologize, if there is an issue we are always happy to remedy. I do remember you, as another guest complained to me about the absolutely hideous smelling food you heated in the guest kitchen. Smelled out the entire lower floor of the Inn. That was an inconvenience to the others staying at the inn.

2 chairs in the room. the table that was in-between the chairs was broken by the last guest...sorry that we did not have time to replace it. The rooms at the Inn are on the smaller side, it is a 200 year old building, it was built as a parsonage hence the smaller sized bedrooms. Appreciate your visit, the Larger rooms in the Inn are the Lovilla, Clayton, Allen and Roderick, as a heads up.

Although the reviewer is anonymous, I know who it is and anticipated its receipt. The review process always leaves the guest with the opportunity to have the last word. Based on the behavior of the guests, I made an error in judgment. I apologized to the guests for that error and they said my apology was accepted. Obviously that is not the case. On the other hand, when I commented on their rude and inconsiderate behavior that led to the error, they took no responsibility for their actions. I did not receive an apology from them. We must accept their entitlement attitude and inconsiderate behavior. After all, they can always fall back on the review process. Unfortunately, we do not have the same luxury.
