Good clean rooms, with A/C. Hotel right next door to sambil shopping mall. Hotel wifi network, dosent't work at all, that's really bad considering that most of the visit are business. Room cable, not to good it was off for a full night. Exercise room very small, lack equipment.
As a travel blog writer, I've travelled all over the world. So I look for the basics where I'm lodging. Beginning with -attractive and inviting lobby, clean and modern guest rooms, great spread for morning breakfast buffet. Here at Lidotel, I found all of the above. We came to Barquisimeto for the soccer tournament- "South American Cup".and needed to be close to the stadium (ESTADIO METROPOLITANO de LARA), which was about 20 minutes away. And, to stay somewhere safe, near infrascture of restaurants and shopping, which we were- the enclosed mall- Sambil - was attached to the hotel lobby, a very nice attribute. Wifi being a sought after commodity throughout the country in Venezuela, could be accessed here, conveniently. Hotel staff, extremely kind and hospitable, there to please all our requests. Loved the small, but effective workout room/gym, outdoor pool and patio area, and lobby and poolside bar, which incidentally played non stop futebol -a national pastime. This hotel was reasonably priced for luxurious comfort and experience.
Had a very good stay here. Staff friendly, room was good, bed very comfortable. Also can get food at other restaurants in the mall attached to the hotel. Mall good for shopping if you want to do this. Hotel has a pool and bar. Wifi was hi speed and free.
What can I say... good hotel, good location but don't expect have any special attention if something become wrong. I had issues with them as they charged twice the credit card (informed by the bank) very difficult receive help (even if they are wrong) ... at the end all good, but if they can avoid work, they will. So.....suggest they invest on employers training, they don't like to serve.
This hotel was immaculate and possibly one of the best I have stayed in. I traveled for work, and as such, had transportation to and from the hotel on a regular basis. I don't recall much about my room, but I do remember leaving there with a very favorable impression of the entire hotel.
I was expecting something much better. I stayed there with my wife. WiFi was not working and they could not fix it. We found a not so clean bathroom. Just one small bottle of water and an empty mini-bar. The worst part was breakfast. It was just plain bad.
This is one of the best hotels in Barquisimeto and is situated next to an indoor shopping mall with a food court. Very few people speak English in this area. The rooms are of a good standard and the staff very friendly. The food in the hotel was also of a good standard but not a great choice of international food. The pool and gym are quite small for the size of hotel but clean.
Recently I was working in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. I stayed at the hotel and I recommend Lidotel. The room was fabulous. Especially the bar at the lobby, with a very modern style, you can have a good time after my work meetings. Also is next to Sambil mall, where I was able to make some personal purchases.
Stayed two nights here in May on business. The staff is friendly and courteous, but hard to find an English speaking staffperson. The room was fine, good bed, not to many English channels on TV, internet was good. At restaurant, the food was very expensive, as it was everywhere in this country. Hamburger, fries, two beers was 50USD+. Breakfast was very limited. The business center was just a computer with internet, no printer. Very expensive for my host also.
Poor service, dirty rooms staff unhelpfull. I spent 4 nights in this Hotel during my long trip in Venezuela and no one has an idea regarding the meanig of the word "service". I spent 4 nights with a loud dehumidifier (fan keeping humidity away but not the smell!!) in my room. I asked several times to get a receipt of my stay after my ceck out but no one took care of my request (I left the Hotel without receipt because the employee had a problem with the printer). Bad experience.
