Stayed 2 different nights at 2 different times because of our tour guide. That was fine.It is a perfect location, decent size rooms. All amenities in the room. Ok breakfast, do it yourself style. The waitstaff could pay more attention if they wanted to. Dinner was ok, steak was delish. Deer ragou was just ok. It lacked venison taste. Kinda lacking..but the property is quite beautiful with a gorgeous swimming pool and gardens. Didn’t ever seek out the spa .
Hot breakfast was lacking however good service, very friendly staff always ready to be of service. Hotel well located both to down town Bariloche and to the Llau Llau area. Also Catedral only 15 - 20 minutes away.
The view from all the rooms is utterly fantastic. You will love this hotel. The staff is kind, and friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. It is beautiful, clean, and a magical place. We had great meals, fantastic massages, and a perfect 5 days. Yeah El Casco.
My sister and I stayed at this hotel while visiting the beautiful Bariloche region of Southern Argentina, an area that reminds me of Switzerland. We visited in the fall, which would be their springtime. We opted for a boutique hotel, rather than a large resort, but still with nice amenities such as restaurant and room service. This hotel also has an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub. The grounds and art are wonderful. Especially with the back drop of the lake and the snow covered mountains in the distance. The rooms are quite spacious and well appointed. We had rooms with balconies facing the lake. Gorgeous. Staff was very nice and accommodating and we thought the price was appropriate, if not low, for this quality of hotel. Very nicely located about 9km from the Town and near one of the national parks. Highly recommended.
El Casco was a delightful surprise. We thought it would be a nice hotel. We didn't realize it would be a great hotel. We were two couples traveling together in March 2017. We had flown for 24 hours and arrived exhausted at El Casco. We were immediately given our rooms, both of which overlooked Nahuel Huapi and the Andes in the distance. It was simply beautiful, especially at sunset as the sun set over the lake and the mountains. We went to dinner in the hotel out of laziness the first night and ate there a second time because the dinner was superb. El Casco had one of the best restaurants that we ate at on our trip to Argentina. The breakfast was excellent as well. The staff were helpful to us in planning our day trips and other dinners. There is a nice swimming pool and spa. We would definitely stay there again!
This hotel is gorgeous, both inside and outside. The art work throughout is very beautiful and each room has art from a different artist. The lake views are fabulous. The staff was incredibly helpful.
Well situated on the lake for sunrise, relaxing, ... and to visit different must sees in the environment. Very very good food. Beautiful art all over the place. Nice rooms. Not too bi, not too small. Good facilities.
Beautifully decorated hotel with wonderful artwork. We had a very nice room, overlooking the lake, with a small terrace. Nicely appointed with the two things we particularly like, lots of outlets for charging, arm chairs for sitting/reading, TV w/CNN. Staff was great. We had two restaurants we wanted for dinners and they got them and made a recommendation for a third. We'd heard from friends that they were at Llao Llao for the second time and found it seriously lacking from their first visit. We're very happy we didn't book there and extremely pleased we stayed at El Casco Art. Highly recommended.
This is the perfect fit. A stunning hotel in a stunning location. So much thought has obviously gone into making it a very special place to stay. All rooms overlook the lake and our bedroom was spacious and well appointed with top quality bed linen and toiletries. Obviously, artworks abound throughout the hotel, all of exceptional quality. The staff were courteous and extremely helpful and added to the ambience of the hotel. The peaceful lakeside location does come at a price in as much as it is situated about 7 miles outside of Bariloche which could be considered inconvenient. One very minor criticism, on the days we were there, the cheeses on offer on the breakfast buffet were not as fresh as they could have been. This I'm sure can be easily remedied.
Casco Art boast a large collection of sculptures and paintings from Argentinean artists, and everything is on sale. But the hotel's main asset is its lakefront location with spectacular views from all the rooms. It could however improve on the consistency of staff and the service they provide (from best in class one day to merely average the next).
