bad hotel, not comfortable, bad location, never again

The room wasn't the most clean and the location is a but scatchy but the staff was super friendly and you can't beat the price that they offered for the 10 days that I stayed. It definitely was a pleasant experience and if you need a place in the area then go here.

The hotel was very clean , nice rooms, good location near shopping center and few minutes away from a metro station. Very helpful and friendly staff , provided us with maps and information about the city and touristic places. What we didn't like was that the AC didn't make the air cold enough and the water in the showers was either too cold or too hot, there wasn't happy medium. Everything else was perfect and we would like to go back to this hotel!

Real comfortable and equipped room, very nice and helpfull personel. One minus which i saw is location of the hotel - quite big distanse to centrum of a town and not so near to metro station

After a weary night from the flight from NY thru Istanbul to Barcelona, the taxi took us to a very welcoming hotel close to the seashore. The very professional hotel attendant found my name easily in the computer system and told me exactly what I already knew and expected. The hotel room is clean and very conducive to rest and sleep. Both of us with my wife are so impressed with the services given like patient instructions on how to navigate the tourist areas with ease and comfort. We will be eternally grateful for their collective efforts to make our stay memorable and worthy to relate to others.

the hotel is clean, new, modern and the menu is cheaper than other "turist" restaurants 12 eurs only! the swiming pool is small but nice, the staff very friendly the only thing is that is no so close from teh beach but the metro is close 7 min walking. i ll comeback the next time. the internet is free in wifi but very expensive if you want to use the only one computer in the hall.. good for holidays!

Hotel is quite good in all ways, just one downfall is that it is a bit too far from the city center, Although, Metro is available in a few blocks but there is nothing around the hotel to see or do. It is a good place just to rest and stay in once you are back in the hotel.

We wanted to stay in a comfortable hotel that wasn't too close to any touristy areas. It's out of the way in El Forum but it's quiet and 5 minute walk to the metro and 10 minute walk to the beach. The staff was great...they even called a doctor for me when my husband was really sick for a couple days. The doctor spoke english and they were very quick at getting him to the hotel.

Pros: fairly short walk to metro stations and beach; modern, clean room; good price Cons: questionable neighborhood, staff not strong in English, restaurants open at odd times Overall pretty good experience.

It seemed a little "strick". There was not only FREE WIRELESS but there was NO WIRELESS unless you were all the way down stairs in the lobby. There was a Cable that you could plug in your PC or you could use the net on the teeny weeny tv in the room for 9 Euro. Also the breakfast was not complementary, it cost a little over 10 Euro per person a morning and it was not as appealing as I would have liked. I barely ate anything. There were only two main courses, scrambled eggs and bacon, neither cooked to my liking. Room service was not that expensive to me which I order everyday i was there sometimes twice. It is also not in a cute part of town. But it is not too far from civilization lol. We didn't ride the train since there were so many people complaining about pick pockets. We walked pretty much everywhere and rented some electric scooters one day. It was about a 10 minute walk to the beach but the first beach water was really crowded and dirty. But anyway, the pool on the roof was TINY!!! and it closed at 8PM! It isn't even dark at 8. That was annoying. So it was really nice but a little old fashion i guess would be better choice of words. ALSO the cleaning ladies... these ladies will knock as they are putting the key in your door to open it. NOT COOL when this is a ROMANTIC trip with you and you husband. Front desk was very kind and very helpful and spoke great english but not the house keepers. For me with a hotel Wireless is a must even if it is not free, I traveled with an iPad. Complimentary breakfast and dinner, we spent a lot on room service. 24 hour room service, theirs had hours. And a pool that closes at a grown up time, 8pm is not even my 4 year olds bed time.

This is one of the only hotels I have seen in many years that is true to its advertised pics and description. Great rooms, clean and roomy, Great views from the roof/pool. Quite and safe but I would mention that the internet is very expensive. They do not say on the info page that web access is extra charge and its very expensive.

Internet at a charge in the room. Overpriced. There is a comb, a tooth brush and a razor but no body lotion (cream) or hair conditioner in the amenities. No coffee machine in the room. Water at a charge as well. No room service before noon. Cannot order a coffee even. A chocolate bar misteriously disappeared from our mini-bar. Nice design but doesn't ensure much privacy as it's mostly an open concept where the sink is in the entrance of the room and the bathroom is separated by a glass door only. No sink in the bathroom. There is a bidet though but you have to go out to brush your teeth in the corridor. A bit surprising for a 4-star hotel Clean, quiet hotel. Looks out of place in this neighbourhood, which is ugly and dirty. The hotel is surrounded by houses where people hang their clothes to dry outside. If you don't mind these inconveniences, it is a clean modern place with a subway station or a tram station nearby. In 20 min. you could be Downtown. The price was very reasonable. Good design!

the hotel was good in cleanliness, but the restaurant staff for dinner were very slow (breakfast staff was fine), the reception people seemed reluctant to help the clients, and the location of the hotel is not so good, it is very noisy at nights, and not so close to the main attractions (plus if you come to hotel after 11, you should be very careful about safety).

We felt very dangerous and unsafe. The hotel was located in an industrial area which was dark and secluded. One evening upon returning to the hotel we encoutered an assault on a tourist and we were followed by 4 men in a white car. One of the clauses in the hotel's welcome kit stated that the hotel was not responsible for any armed robbories or bodily harm incurred on the hotel premesis. Our room was in the front of the hotel and at night it was very noisy due to the congragation of the area residents hanging out in front of the hotel. Also the towels were not changed everyday; I am not used to this so I found this unusual.

I stayed at the Vincci Condal Mar while attending a conference at the nearby Barcelona Convention Center. The hotel was within walking distance of the center. Although the neighborhood surrounding the hotel is somewhat gritty, I never felt insecure, even while walking back to the hotel late at night. Some of the nearby residents do have fiestas late into the night which could generate noise depending on where your room is located. The Vinnci Condal Mar is situated some distance from the main tourist attractions of Barcelona, but these are easily reached from a nearby Metro station. The breakfast buffet is the best in Spain in my opinion, better than the those of the Paradors. The staff was very efficient and professional. The A/C automatically turns off when you remove your key card to leave the room. If you don't want to return to an oven, be sure to stick any other card with a magnetic stripe into the card holder before you step out.

It was a clean and quiet place to stay....On the other hand, its a little distance from the more visited areas of Barcelona....we dealt with the distance by taking the metro, which is very user-friendly....but its annoying if you leave for the day and want to come back to your room and refresh for the night's activities. Also, my boyfriend and I came in one morning at 4am and the doors were locked!!!! Thankfully, we took a hotel card with us to give taxi drivers (metro closes at 12am Sunday-Thursday, 2am F-Saturday) and it had the phone number on it...and thankfully he had an international phone.....the guy eventually answered his phone all tired and let us in....we were pounding on the glass for 20 minutes prior to that (mojitos fault) :)

Quality is good, but you need to walk a couple of deserted / industrial blocks to reach the subway.

That place was so awful, and such a rip off that this hotel seemed like heaven. The one major downside to this hotel was it was extremely out of the way. you have to take a taxi to and from Barcelona - at 15 Euros each way. The neighborhood is rough - one of the up and coming neighborhoods that might be great in 10 years - but is still a bit dodgy. so you can't walk around the neighborhood. It's like being on an island. But a nice island.

The room was very tiny especially for two people however the bathroom was quite nice and spacious. The staff was great providing us with a map and information on how to get to where we wanted to go. Unfortunately I did not think that the room was as clean as it should be. The bathtub had a couple of hairs in it as well as the pillow of my bed - gross! Although the layout of the hotel was quite nice the neighbourhood surroundering it was a little considering and based on this alone I would not stay there again.
