Simple hotel with all the necessary comforts in the gothic quarter. Clean with friendly staff and easy access to metro stations and walking access to restaurants, shopping etc.

With its convenient location, obliging and efficient staff, and comfortable rooms, NH Barcelona Centro far exceeded my expectations when I booked. It was not the economy class option its price suggested. Every employee I encountered delivered high quality and cheerful service; the room itself was well-appointed though not elegant, and the bathroom was spacious and immaculate.

Great location . Close to bus. Could leave our suitcase before the cruise. Didn't get out wake up call as requested the day we were flying back home! No alarm clock in room.

Front desk not helpful at all. I would never stay here again

Loved the location right in the middle of Gothic, Plaza Catalonia, and Las Ramblas. Perfect. Quiet. Older hotel but the rooms seemed updated. Store for groceries across the street. Close to metro. Close to Boqueria market. I saw pics of a swimming pool at this hotel on TA. THERE IS NO POOL! I'd stay here again because of the location and price.

The location was wonderful for exploring the Ramblas and the gothic quarter. The staff was at times unhelpful.

Perfect spot for a visit to the Las Ramblas area of Barcelona. Quaint and safe area to walk around. Staff was friendly and helpful when needed. Rooms are rather small but comfortable with decent bedding. Although we didn't eat there, an on-site restaurant for breakfast was available. Since it was tucked away off of the main street, it was quiet. Great little bistros nearby for pastry and coffee or something more. If you have the hotel call a taxi for you, there seems to be a built -in premium for that service as compared to getting your own taxi. We felt we had to pay a higher fare to get to the port (only a short distance) as compared to the fare from the airport. Overall a good experience and I would recommend this hotel to others visiting the area for a short visit to the city.

great hotel, excellent location. great staff, very good breakfast

Great location and easy to get to from the airport using the Air Bus. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great experience. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean and quiet. We had a double -- I liked our room, it wasn't spacious, but just fine for the two of us. Free wifi. The location is great: right next to the Rambla if that's your thing, but also within walking distance to the beautiful old part of the city.

The hotel is in a great location. It's tucked away but yet super close to the metro station and yummy places to eat. The only thing I would like for them to change is upgrading the furniture. Everything was probably from the 80s including the most uncomfortable mattress.

Great location, clean rooms. Only issue is internet access: very slow & very tough to get on line.

Great hotel. Only problem was spottiness of wifi. Must be used in the lobby, which was an annoyance.

This was our second hotel in Barcelona. The first one was a boutique hotel that we hated! The NH de luc was in a great location on a quiet street but still near all the action. You can walk to many sight seeing spots! Psg de gracia (shopping), la rambla, gaudi houses, picasso museum, the metro... I'm so glad we didn't stay on Las Ramblas street or on another main street. Those locations are dirty, touristy, and very loud. I highly recommend this hotel. The front desk staff is helpful. WiFi free if you are using it in the hotel lobby. Across the entrance is a little mini-market and you can stock up on waters and snacks for cheap and spend the rest of your money on tapas and sight seeing.

We stayed at this hotel 1 day before a cruise vacation and returned to stay one night after the cruise. Both rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was very nice. Our favorite thing about this hotel was location, location, location. Just a few minutes from La Rambla street, 5 minutes from Plaza de Catalunia, and at the beginning of the amazing Gothic section of Barcelona. I highly recommend this hotel.

The NH Duc de la Victoria was in a great location, a block away from the Rambles, so it was quite yet close to everything. The hotel itself was what you would expect from a 3 Star hotel in the middle of an old city. No major issues but it would be nice if the free internet was available outside the lobby, was faster and didn't have a 30min limit, also if that the rooms had an iron and board, and the AC, though cold, didn't do a good job with the humidity to the point that there is mold on the ceiling by the vent.

The hotel is overall clean.Rooms are clean but small for people who are used to American standards.(remember most of these hotels are converted residential buildings). Location is a plus.It is in the middle of the historic center away from the main pedestrian and car traffic so sleeping is easy. .Bathrooms are very clean and towels are the quality of a higher hotel rating. The tubs are of a small width but clean. The water pressure is good even at the last floor. The only annoying and negative criticism I have against this hotel is they charge 0.36 euro/minute= $0.55/minute for using their only one computer at the lobby and you have to use a credit card before starting the use of the computer.Their breakfast is expensive = 18 euros=$26 .It is better to eat outside unless money is not an issue. The staff is friendly and helpful and they speak English. The elevators are fast and clean but small, however they have four of them.[...].If you come back late at night to the hotel, the street is a little quiet and dark and could be scary for one person walking alone.during the day and early evening it is lively.I would stay at this hotel again and recommend it to friends .

This was a great hotel for the price close to city center. Just a block or two off Las Ramblas was very convienent for walking in the Gothic area or catching the metro. The room was quiet, clean and all we needed. The room did have a safe which was great. The TV lacked channels in english but did have a few news and business channels. We would definitely use this hotel again or recommend it to others. We did not do the breakfast. We found the walk to Starbucks or McDonalds was just fine. Hotel had free wifi in the lobby. If you did not have your own laptop, they charge 0.35 per minute to use a workstation in the lobby.

Nice, clean hotel in the center of Barri Gotic (old town). Close to La Rambla (main touristy street) shopping, metro, signtseeing. But I wouldn't recommend for single female travelers because of the location ( the area around is not very pleasant to walk around late at night)

It was perfect for our needs. The hotel was located in a great spot, just steps from La Rambla and near the Cathedral in the Gothic Quarters. For the price, this hotel was clean, had nice amenities and was overall solid. The front desk associates were very helpful and spoke great English.
