I stayed here during the MotoGP Catalunya GP race. Location is nice, room is tidi, cleaning lady comes daily. Very good variaty for breakfast. Most attractions are easy to find by foot or taxy or bus .

I do not often write negative reviews, but this place is somewhere I would never come again. I arrived and the receptionist was outside talking rather than being behind the desk in welcome, and then did not welcome me or converse with me. My room was good on arrival, but on closer inspection the toilet had water running through it all the time, the bathroom smelt of damp/mould, the hot water tap did not work properly and when I went down to ask for water (Barcelona was hot) she directed me to the mini bar. The last hotel I was in at Valencia was £45 cheaper a night and had water in the room. I asked for an iron, board and kettle which I had to carry up to my room, she did not offer to help or get help. The breakfast was absolutely shocking. I could not find bowls or cups - these were all hidden under the serving areas which guests has to crouch down to get to - they were not laid out by the relevant food or drink. The choice was poor. Unfortunately, I was here two nights, and again the same receptionist decided her job was less important than her needs by eating breakfast in the dining area when she should have been behind the desk. As I left, no conversation, but just asked me for my card without telling me the cost and that was it. I will not be returning.

I will be very short in describing it: - the room is small and it smells like sewerage (and this after I asked my first room to be changed because the smell was really bad); - the view was terrible because most of it was the window of another room; - The furniture is old; - two things that were ok: the bed was comfy and the bathroom was very ok, with hairdryer and everything; excellent water pressure; - the breakfast was really bad: frozen pastry, the coffee was terrible, the tomatoes weren't washed, you could see the dirt on them (I checked it every morning, 5 days in a row so it wasn't a mistake), it was only one type of cheese, the same every day; i was really dissapointed. I spent five nights at this hotel, at the end of March, in a standard double room.

Good sized room, with an older vibe. Room was clean, but the decor was older. Good location, but noisy. Loved the wall of windows. Curtains needed to be fixed to allow for easier opening and closing. Air conditioning could be colder for those of us that like it on the cooler side.

The location - not the best, as it takes approx 5-10 min walk to metro (depends how fast you walk). Urguell , station. If you go from/to Barcelona airport- El PRAT, the bus stops A1 & A2 stops close to the hotel, at Gran Via - Urgell (10 min walk). The staff – the male at the reception is efficient, friendly and helpful. The lady at the reception is not much professional and while checking out, she didn’t even say bye, thank you, etc….. The room (classic room) – clean, big, hot shower, only the bed was not much comfortable. Internet was free of charge and worked well. Paid: 49.50 Eur/1 night, so the quality is sufficient for the price of the room.

Stayed on fifth floor on main road, didn't sleep for whole holiday due to traffic noise which was horrendous. Don't know why reviews mention friendly staff, the male on reception was very nice but the two ladies never made eye contact never mid say hello. Breakfast €11 which was extortionate and the rooms are very dated with uncomfortable beds and pillows like pancakes. No tea/coffee making facilities and no room service provided.

Struggled to get a good nights sleep within the four nights we stayed here. The website states there is soundproofing, however this has to be one of the loudest hotels I've ever stayed in. With it being on a main road I expected road noise, but we could hear conversations in all the rooms around us which sometimes went on till the early morning. The facilities in the room were ok but really need smattering up. Shower hook wasn't secured correctly, toilet was stained, light fittings were wonky and bent and the curtain was hanging off the rail. Apart from checking out I didn't find the receptionist particularly approachable and she didn't seem at all courteous when we checked in.

Rooms were wide enough, clean and well ventilated. Receptionist were friendly and helpful. I suggest though they should train all other staffs like the cleaners to speak even basic English. One example is that basic term such as "laundries". It was one morning a lady housekeeper knocked our hotel room saying something we didn't understand at all. It was quite annoying talking without able to understand any words. She just wanted to pick up laundries if there were so. The hotel has good facilities. Outside pool at the rooftop which is open only during summer. Common sauna rooms for male and female and gym located at the hotel's basement which are available 24 hrs. You just need to book the sauna by contacting the receptionist. It will be ready after 20 minutes. The normal sauna accommodates around 5-6 persons. It was dry type and unlike traditional finnish sauna, there aren't stones to throw water. The steam sauna seemed to have unusual strong odor. The second evening we went the steam was extremely hot.

Stayed there begging of the month, first impression - receptionist should be more polite and smile more. Very unhelpful receptionist. Our room was clean tho, only shocked about the fact - no air conditioner!? For the country like Spain ? Our room was way too hot , stayed there for 4 nights didn't sleep once ! Too hot, we have tiny little small window which was open 24/7 , 7th floor and there was no fresh air in that room once !! Aswel one of the morning my husband was feeling sick and I asked waiters in the "restaurant" can I bring food to the room ! And that said no! Ok, I understand it's 3 star hotel but let me (myself) bring the bowl of cereals to room would be only nice since one of they're guests wasn't feeling good. Only friendly staff was the lady who cleanse our room! Very disappointed!

I had expected the staff at this hotel to be friendly after having had to rebook after an Emergency which I am grateful they assisted me with. Getting to the hotel the lady on the front desk was beyond rude! We debated the need for me to pay over twice the amount I actually needed to for over 20 minutes. Unbeknown to myself my friend had contacted the hotel prior to our arrival to ask if they could place some balloons in our room as it was my birthday. She was met with a point blank no and told that was not there job. A kind 'sorry we are unable' would have sufficed. Another member of staff seemed baffled why we were asking for directions in a foreign country - we promptly walked out and asked someone on the street who only spoke Catalan but was still more helpful than the hotel receptionist. The hotel itself is ok. Room was spacious and clean yet a bit dated. At present March 2017 there is building works and it can get a little noisy in the day. Traffic of a night time was quite loud even with the windows shut so be aware. Overall I would say don't stay here if you need any sort of help or advise. They were totally unwilling to help in that way at all. If you need somewhere to lay your head then you should be fine.
