This is a nice hotel in the middle of town. They have a very nice breakfast in their street level dining room. The room was comfortable, ours looked over a school play area right below so if you were home during the day you might see kids practicing a play or something. The alley has lots of good restaurants which is convenient, it’s mildly noisy in the evening. One block away is a major street with high end shopping. One caveat, Barcelona is a city of thieves so eat inside or if you’re tempted to sit outside, secure all your belongings!!
This is an elegant hotel with a very helpful staff. Service for breakfast was impressive. Location is the key, right on Las Ramblas and a few blocks away from the lively old part of the city. Pablo in the bar was very helpful and friendly. The room looked over Las Ramblas with a view of this upscale, beautiful part of Barcelona.
Well located, friendly staff and a good breakfast. They have good things going for them, but it cannot compensate for sloppy customer service. We had booked an apartment from this hotel. 24 hours before checking in, as we were all packed up and ready to go to the airport to take our flight to Europe, they informed us we could not get the apartment we had booked. It appears repairs were required in the apartment building during our stay. We were offered a cramped basic room instead. You could not walk around the bed if the other person was sitting at the small desk in the room. That did not go well when we had booked an apartment. They offered us free breakfast for compensation !!! . We finally got the apartment for the second half of our stay, but there was still construction in the building with noise and dust everywhere. But at least we had the space and amenities we had paid for. If reliability and certainty is important to you, this hotel left us with a stressful start of our 5 week vacation in Europe. This was not necessary. They could have done better. They could have informed us earlier so we could have made alternative plans. They could have offered similar accommodations somewhere else. There should have been options. The only one offered was the cramped room or a refund. That is easy to say when you're on your way to the airport... Where would we go in Barcelona? They really have to work on their customer service.
We stayed at Hotel Murmuri in Barcelona for 3 nights in September 2017 we found the location excellent an easy walk to all the sights but far enough away to be lovely and quite The street the hotel is on has many really nice restaurants We found the staff to be very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble for them Would recommend until you want to be right on La Ramblas which is a 5 min walk
Hotel Murmuri is very nice. We stayed 4 nights and it was terrific. The hotel is right outside the Gothic Quarter and near all the sites. Plus the staff at the front desk are very helpful and give great restaurant recommendations. Only concern - the rooms are a little small.
We stayed 3 nights and we had 2 adjoining rooms because our teenage kids were with us. It was very handy that they have that option for people. The rooms only sleep up to 2 people and there 2 single beds but they are pretty roomy so even with me turning and having one pillow in between because I have knee problems and I was able to sleep comfortable. They had nice big towels, robes and slippers so I felt very comfortable away from home. The hotel is very close to Restaurants, bars, cafes. Supermerkat are convenience stores so you can get drinks and snacks and some carry some fresh fruit is what I saw from walking by. We bought only water and it was very cheap and ranged from .55 - .81 Euro. They do have a super market not to far from the hotel and a laundry mat if you need to do some laundry. The people at the desk are very helpful and they speak very good English so anything you need just ask them. We had a balcony view which was a nice view but I was never out there more then a few minutes because it was hot and humid. The only 1 bad thing that we found was the wifi wasn't very good and it just varied when it seemed to work better but we had to keep signing in because we would loose connection. They do a have restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch or dinner which I will review separately.
We just recently stayed at this hotel for a week and I must say it was really nice and would recommend it to anyone. Ideal location and staff were attentive and friendly. The rooms were very clean and never did we have to ask for extra towels :) The lounge and restaurant were good with a nice decor.
We stayed here at the beginning of our Barcelona vacation and loved it. Very nice people at the desk with good suggestions for dinning and touring. The room was fine and quite. Breakfast was good and included in our rate. The bar is great for a cocktail before heading out. This is close to 2 popular Gaudi houses to visit and next to the big shopping street with the designer stores.
Spent 4 nights here in mid-September. Comfortable, clean, very quiet even though my room faced the street, in relatively upscale area, very convenient to Gaudì attractions, as well as taxis and metro, tons of casual eating options along Rambla de Catalunya. Elevator. Good food on site. Terrific front desk staff--cheerful, helpful and great English. Thank you! Just what I wanted.
My wife and I stayed at The Murmuri from Sept 20-23. It was our first trip to Spain. We are walkers and learn a city by waking it. The Murmuri was well located on the west end of Las Ramblas a block from Passeig de Gracia (Barcelona’s big main fancy shopping street). We were also minutes away from La Pedrera and Casa Battlo. Waking to Bari Gotic and Sagrada Familia as also easy. The walk to Parc Guell was a hike. The Hotel is lovely. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating offering us dinner suggestions and making reservations for us. They could not have been nicer or more welcoming. We booked a Junior Suite. It was a comfortable room. The only negative was we were in Room 104 which is directly above the kitchen service entrance. It was a little noisy but did not unduly detract from our stay or enjoyment of the accommodations. We had breakfast in the hotel every morning. If you get a deal take it as it just makes life easier otherwise there are cheaper options. This is a lovely hotel, well located and worth booking.
