The hotel is located in Rambla Catalunya. It's in a great area for walking and for shopping. It's five minutes away from Gaudí's La Pedrera (Casa Mila). The nearest metro station (Passeig de Gracia) is 200m from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and recommend wonderful restaurants. Breakfast was really good!
My daughter and I stayed at the Murmuri for three nights and were very happy we chose this hip hotel. The interior fit-out is the star of this small yet intimate upscale offering. It's sensual and interesting with silver painted wallpaper in the main areas, luxe sofas in the great bar accessed form the street, and interesting fittings and fixtures everywhere making a cohesive whole. The welcome was warm and the staff were experienced, sophisticated and helpful. At the end of our stay we had to deal with a unexpected issue (unrelated to the hotel) and the front desk team were all that one could hope for in terms of support and ideas. We found the room, while standard was of a very good size with lovely bathroom including rain-shower. Can't talk about the breakfast as we bought room only. The location is great, and just around the corner are two of the Goudi buildings. The free wifi was also good. There is a small and elegant rooftop garden, but no pool. Hearing some guests interact with staff it's clear the hotel has a devoted fan base with many return clients. We had a great stay. Thank you.
The photos in the reviews are very deceiving. This is a basic restaurant. Wine list is mediocre with very little choice. The 1kg beef steak was more fat than meat. The rest of the food we tried was reasonable but nothing memorable. Certainly this is not the same restaurant we saw in the reviews!!!!
it looks like the Rablas with canopy outdoor seating area. not so many tourist so a bit more quiet at night but it is a active area so can be noisy has lots of different shops and coffee / lunch/ dinner spots did not dine or drink in the bar area the personal was friendly and informative the price is high but seems to be high in this area
My whole family, 12 of us , including our 5 grandchildren came for 6 day to Barcelona and this amazing hotel took care of us. We had spacious rooms with balconies, beautiful big bathrooms and an incredible service. Anna and Gemma made sure to go out off their way to help us. It's not easy making reservations for 12, nothing was a problem for them. They got us the best restaurants. Thank you so much. We had breakfast included and it was delicious The location of the hotel is excellent. Shopping around and Gaudí's The Pedrera is a block away. We had rooms in the fourth and fifth floor. On the six floor they have a Terrace where you can relax and have drinks. The restaurant is great and also have an outside terrace. If you want to swim, their sister hotel, the Magestic has a swimming pool and a great place for drinks and an amazing view of Barcelona. I highly recommend this hotel in a beautiful building We will be back again
What a fantastic surprise this hotel was. Situated in the heart of the city, close to anywhere one would want to be -- very chic, elegant and boutique-like with so much old world European flare but updated to the times. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely rooms and updated high end master bathrooms. Would definitely go back and stay there on my next visit.
There are so many decent hotels in Barcelona that try very hard to compete that I should be clear about why I would choose Murmuri again: - generally good staff - a little under staffed so that customers were complaining no bar tender in sight abt 7pm - the reservation clerk was very helpful on the email giving us a good room at a good rate when we wanted to extend a night - great dinner and Conceirge recommendations - the street Rambla de Catalunya is smack in center of town next to subway line. Downside - our original 1-bedroom apartment was physically in another building behind the hotel - although I must say it was a beautiful room. Thank you. PS - nothing to do with the hotel but we were pickpocketed at the Subway station nearby - horrible - Barcelona is the pickpocket capital of the world - can ruin any holiday - please be super vigilante! Do NOT carry any valuables
Stayed for 4 night at MurMuri in one of their suites. Hotel is very well located and overall very quiet for a city that is very active. Walking distance to most point of interest. Staff was excellent and very helpful on all our request. Will definitely return.
stayed here for second time but this time in an appartment for 4 people ,Nice big rooms spotless and cleaned daily with good maids,If i returned i would probably go back in the rooms as opposed to an appartment but thats just personal preference, but this a brilliant hotel with great staff and friendly happy bar staff, Will return one day
I booked this thru Mr and Mrs Smith as wanted a special hotel for my birthday. The hotel is in a great location and very very close to Diagnol metro station. It took around 50 mins from the airport and is very close to the shops and the Gaudi house. We arrived around mid-day and our room was ready, which was great, I did request a twin room but this had not been passed to the hotel and a twin room was not ready so we opted to take the double room which had a queen sized bed. The room was not very large but I did only book a design room which I presume is their basic room. It was on the 2nd floor facing the side of the hotel. With Mr & Mrs Smith we were meant to get a bottle of Cava, this was not in the room, I really dislike having to ask for something as it sounds very petty, but the next day did ask Chris and he was extremely helpful and said that we could either have it in our room when we wanted or drink it in the bar. Very nice gesture but tbh it should have been in our room on arrival. Both Chris and Anna were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. The rooms do not have tea/coffee making facilities or an ipod docking station. The computer ports did not work to charge the phone but we had bought some adaptors so could charge our phones. If you need an ironing board just request from housekeeping and one is bought to your room. We were told that we could use the facilities of The Majestic, their sister hotel. We asked re a late check out and were told it would not be possible, then we asked if we could use the pool a the Majestic and were told not a problem. On the day of check-out we were told by another person at reception that he had been advised not to send guest to the Majestic by his manager, this was completely different to what we were told the day before, inconsistent! We went to the Majestic and were told it was not an issue to use their facilities? Either he did not like us and was just being awkward or was not given correct information? It does not state during peak periods guest cannot use the facilities of their sister hotel? Once you check-out they will keep your bags but their are no facilities afterwards to change or have a shower. I think the lady in reception was willing to offer us something but was shut down by the gentlemen who said no. I would not expect this in a 4* hotel. Such a shame as the hotel is nice and some of the staff are really helpful. I would not stay here again although the location is very good. we did not eat or use the bar in the hotel. Wifi never worked whilst we were there.
