The staff was very nice with us, they didn't mind sitting with us and having conversations, beautiful hotel, the beds aren't that comfortable though, but everything else is just great, clean, nice rooms, perfect location, and even though it's windows are on the street, still its not that noisy. Highly recommended, I'd definitely go back.

Perfect location- half way down and just off Las Ramblas. Also an easy 5 min walk east to Laietana street. Close to multiple metro stops too. We booked this hotel because we read great reviews, however, we did experience the previously mentioned positives. I would not recommend this hotel as there are many others in the same location. Then the negatives begin: 1. Central AC but no individual room controls - it's 90 degrees and we don't have our own control in room. We complained multiple times at the desk to cool our room down and they "checked into it" but nothing changed. We sweat every night! Also, there are no ceiling fans or window in the room 2. Breakfast - same every day, very simple continental 3. Welcome tapas - not very welcome. They told us we could come any night at 7:30 to the restaurant area yet we came on Sunday night and the restaurant was closed. Would have loved to have known ahead of time. 4. TV issues - no channel guide or English channels. We don't spend any time in the room other than later at night, however, there is no BBC or anything to watch in English. We asked the front desk and they told us "30% of the channels should be in English" .... false 5. Noise - walls are paper thin. You don't hear much street noise but hallway and other room noises are as if they were happening in your own room.

Although this is a 2 star hotel, we could find no fault with it. We have stayed there before so we knew what to expect. The rooms are small but have everything you need except drawers. Plenty of hangers in the wardrobe but nowhere to put anything away. The location is excellent, a minute from Las Ramblas. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Before we went I was concerned that the shower was over the bath and I am no longer able to get in and out of the bath. However my fears were groundless. The sides of the bath were not too high and there was a handrail to hold on to. If we go to Barcelona again, we would certainly stay there.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it's reasonably central location makes everywhere accessible without too many issues. It is a nice city based hotel, personally we found the room basic and adequate but lacking a little style. Bathroom was presentable but needed a little work. There is no controllable air conditioning in the room we stayed, as our room opened up onto the cleaners area outside we could not open the curtain or the window! Communal areas for breakfast, lunch etc was typically laid out and not necessarily intimate dining. Again, breakfast is included and is your basic fare. All in all though highly recommended for its location, which is why you are there in truth.

The location of this small hotel makes it ideal for a short stay in barcelona, the rooms are clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, it's all about location though as it's just off the famous las ramblas, perfect for exploring the centre of Barcelona.

Lovely stay on our 2nd time here. Hotel is fairly quiet, staff are helpful with directions etc. Weather was great. Didn't eat at the hotel and as my son has food allergies, barcelona is a very difficult place in general to find suitable safe foods for him. Only down side to our stay was that we were told to keep out room on for 6.5 hours extra it would be 80 euros! Seemed rather expensive so declined. No room to shower or change either so had to do this in the toilet! Would make changes to this for comfort of guests or reduce the price to keep the room on. Nice location but road very noisy at weekends until 4am! Will look for somewhere less noisy when we return.

This hotel is in a great location off Las Ramblas and in the gothic quarter. Its and excellent base for travelling around Barcelona, The rooms were clean and good value for money and the staff very polite and courteous. The only downside I would say is that we didn't stay here long enough. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again.

Visited with seven friends middle of March. The accommodation is very clean and quite sufficient. All members of staff that we met on our visit proved to be extremely nice and very efficient. The hotel is located directly off the Main Street la ramblas this meaning it does get quite busy and very loud over a weekend evening, but let's be honest where in Barcelona to enjoy ourselves so this wasn't a problem to us. The surrounding area is very nice plenty of bars restaurants and tourist attractions. We took in a Barcelona game why we was there I can recommend that anybody.

I stayed here in March, tru St. Patricks day. A good welcome on arrival from Tony. Great location, Delicious food in the restaurant, if a little expensive. Tony very helpful, the only one who was... The breakfast was ok, self service, cereals breads and meats, tea and coffee. On the second day I got a bad smell from the sink/shower drain, complained about this over 3 days, was given a sink plug....useless, the guy on reception wouldn't change my room, was not very interested in my complaint, he had broken english and was not helpful at all..Not Tony but the guy there in the morning. Very thin walls, can hear water pipes and ppl nxt door speaking. Tv tiny, no english channels. I do like a firm bed, but this one was rock hard and very uncomfortable, so hard, literally, to get a good nights sleep in. Very noisy from the street, balcony doors may as well not be there, useless to keep noise out of the room. No kettle. Safe like the cripton factor to operate. I had 3 bad nights sleep here and was not impressed with the dis intrest from the guys on reception, Tony was only there on my first day.. Barcelona is a great vibrant city. I really enjoyed my time there. Unfortunately, this hotel is pretty much 'you get what you pay for'.

I spent a week at the Hotel Adagio in Barcelona while attending a trade show. The staff were very friendly and easy to work with. The room was teeny-tiny, but entirely sufficient for the job. Things were clean, regularly maintained, and functioned as expected. I liked the building, room, big doors on the tiny patio in my room, and acceptable bathroom. I got by very well in my room. The location was ideal for my needs, being close to the Las Ramblas area where my work encouraged me to eat a drink in those popular restaurants and bars. The metro station was very close by, and the overall costs of getting around was less than prior trips when I stayed further north in more modern and larger hotels. The breakfast was, well, below average, but good enough to get me by until lunch. I would have preferred fresh coffee and eggs, but the packaged meats, breads, fruit and juice, and large dispenser of coffee got the job done. Given the price I was paying, this was an amazing experience, and what small quibbles I had the polite staff of offset.
