Staff friendly and helpful. Room cleaned every day, one day we had bad sewage smell..we end up leaving the exhaust on all the time. Airport to hotel will cost you 35 euros, we used cabyfy app. In fact we mostly end up using Taxi mostly. Beach would take you 20 minutes walk. Grocery store near Marina metro was OK.
Very friendly and helpful!!! Nice clean room, great restaurant. We enjoyed our 7 day stay.Minutes from the Metro which is very safe. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!!!! Plenty of room in the rooms. Felt very safe!
We booked this hotel because last years in Kuala Lumpur we stayed at a Fraser hotel and we loved it. We arrived pretty late and I was hungry so i decided to order something from the restaurant, which, according to the menu in the room, should have been opened from Tuesday (the day we arrived) to Saturday from 17 to 23. Shame that nobody answered, and when I contacted the reception, I was told the restaurant wasn't open on Tuesdays but from Wednesday to Saturday from 7 to 10. The next morning we left our bedroom at 8 am and got back at 4/4.30 pm. The room was not done. The housekeeper showed up at 5 pm so we told her to come back the next day, because we were tired and resting. When we got out in the evening, there was a sign attached to our door saying that the housekeeper tried to clean our room at 3 pm, but there was a "do not disturb" sign and she couldn't do her job. FIRST: there wasn't even a Do not disturb sign in our bedroom when we arrived. SECOND: I can understand that it was a busy day and there was not housekeeping service for more than 8 hours in hour corridor (??) but I cannot understand why it was necessary to lie about the timetables afterwards! This is not acceptable, and it's not even a cheap hotel (it's actually more expensive than some hotels near Placa de Catalunya). The reception staff was great and the room was quite ok. I'm looking forward for my next stay in Fraser KL, but I won't choose again this hotel the next time when I'm in BCN; neither I'll recommend it to my contacts.
The hotel is modern, clean, renovated and in a very quite location - far away from the crowd, yet well located with 5min walk to the underground (L1, few stations from city center / Plaça de Catalunya), the tramway and 15min walk to the Sagrada Familia. Even a bus from Parc Güell brings you close to the hotel. It is a good location to visit the city for a first time. Special mention to the personal who was extremely kind and very helpful. A great feature of the room is the kitchen with fridge, microwave etc. - with our small kids, we could simply shop at Carrefour nearby (2 stations tramway) and have dinner in the room. Both kids (6 & 7yrs old) slept on a sofa, which was okay (we had to put some pillows around the mattress to fill some holes). But with older kids, we would have probably considered a bigger bed or larger room. We would definitely consider returning there for our next trip to Barcelona!
I have recently returned from an amazing weekend break to Barcelona with my girlfriend. We visited previously (December 2015) and stayed at the Universal, but this time plumped for the Capri by Fraser apartments, having read positive reviews and been impressed by the photos of the accommodation on Tripadvisor. I haven't contributed to Tripadvisor in the past, but felt compelled to sign up just to share with everyone the wonderful experience I enjoyed at this fine hotel. Where to begin?! The rooms were an excellent size and had all facilities required for a much longer stay. Everything is very modern and chic and we were particularly impressed with the bathroom and kitchenette. The standards of cleanliness are exceptionally high throughout the hotel and the additional facilities such as the gym and bar are great. Check in was a breeze and all staff we spoke to were polite, courteous, fluent in English and keen to make us feel at home in the hotel and in the city. The location of the hotel is good (close to metro) and it is only a few stops to many of the attractions. We enjoy walking and exploring so most of the time we did this rather than take public transport. There are lots of little bars and shops within a few hundred metres of the hotel, so stocking up our minibar was easy! The staff and management of Capri should be really pleased with what they offer. It is a wonderful establishment and I will be recommending it to friends and family alike. The apartments are perfect for slightly larger groups - I have found that other Barcelona hotels are mainly geared towards couples and only offer double rooms. I have convinced a large group of friends to come to Barcelona with me later this year, potentially in June, and if there is availability, we will definitely stay at the Capri. I didn't get a chance to sample breakfast on my last visit, so will hopefully opt in to this next time I stay. I cannot wait to return to the wonderfully vibrant city of Barcelona, and in particular, to the Capri.
Really happy with finding the Capri via Hotels.com. We travelled over the Easter weekend. Took a taxi from the airport as there were 4 of us to share the cost. They only operate on meters and it would have been €26 but with bank holidays they add extra fares so ended up €46! Journey about 25mins. Right near Marina metro and with the T10 travel card for €10.50 you can make 10 journeys via metro, bus, tram or Renfe train which can also be shared amongst people so we took the metro from Marina 2 stops to Clot and then the Renfe R1 Nord 5 stops to the Airport for the way home, much cheaper and about 45mins! The facilities at the hotel are perfect, felt very safe, really clean and comfortable room, extra perks with the kitchenette. Room has a safe, tv, iron, microwave, kettle, fridge etc. The shower in the bath was so lovely and powerful and they provide shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, handwash and body lotion in big refill pumps so if you're travelling with only hand luggage you won't need your own. I have to say, we stayed in 417 and our friends in 517, so both the same side of the building and our nights sleep were really disturbed with outside noise both nights, despite us arriving back at midnight, yet the neighbourhood seems empty throughout the day. It was easy to leave bags before we checked in and after we checked out. Overall we had no real interaction with the staff so I can't say they were particularly welcoming but we didn't have any problems either. Would definitely return.
The gym in this hotel was really good and meant I did t need to miss out on my workout it was great value room and a hearty breKfast included in price we were treated very well by staff and they took care of everything very happy indeed
Great hotel, very clean, friendly service, great breakfast, great gym, rooms are spacious and well equipped. Close to the Metro which made it very easy for our trip to the Nou Camp and to get to las ramblas
Apartment style hotel with a kitchen, fridge and utensils. Close to metro and restaurants. Room is big with comfortable bed, sofa, desk and dining table. We enjoyed our stay here. I highly recommend it.
A modern hotel with large comfy beds, spacious seating area and small kitchenette which has a microwave, kettle and full size fridge and there is a Mercadona and Lidl very close by. Good transport close by to get to all areas easily and nice to get away from the noise of the centre for a good nights sleep. In fact some areas are within walking distance. There is a laundry room with washers and dryers free to use as well as a well equipped gym. You need your key card to get in the front door and to be able to use the lift which makes the hotel very secure. We had no problems with the wi fi in our room.
