Only saving grace was they moved us after we spent 6 hours complaining to Prison cells have nicer walls! How they thought they could charge 700+ euros for three nights is a joke. See attached pictures. Combined by an odd sweaty smell and aircon that didn’t work. 100% not as described.

The reason we chose this hotel was the proximity to the Sagrada Familia and its claim to provide free parking for guests. We had a rental car and wanted to make sure we had parking at the hotel. The hotel didn't provide parking and the staff told us to get a overnight parking garage nearby at our cost. It cost us extra 30 euros per night. Our family of 4 were put up in a low ceiling room right above the reception/breakfast area that are really not intended for guest room; half window just above the main hotel sign did not even open. The AC made loud and annoying cyclic noise throughout the night. The room was too muggy to not have AC on, so we had to put up with the noise. The last night of our stay, someone came up to our room and tried to open the door in the middle of the night. This was outrageous! Luckily, I had the door locked. (The room doors are old fashion...door/door knob did not have any lock or auto lock feature. You have to use your key to lock yourself in to actually lock the door. If you don't do this, door is left unlocked and anyone can open it anytime.) Cost of our stay here ended up over $200/night because of parking fees. For that amount, I could have easily stayed at a nice hotel a bit outside of city centers, given that we had a car. I thought to support small local inns/B&B accommodations in Barcelona, but I really regretted that we stayed at this hotel.

Good situation as near Gracia. Very small room and difficult to manoevre two people! Very clean, with all we needed. Comfortable beds Breakfast poor quality. Staf f- Maria was exceptional. Helpful, friendly, welcoming. Unfortunately only there 2 days and then breakfast not on time at all. So, difficult to rate service as 1 exceptional and 1 not so good.

We stayed here for 5 nights just and only sleeping. The room was very very small..also the toilet ( not fully covered with wall to the rest of the room space...) and shower..The walls are unfortunatelly from the “paper” so you hear almost everything from everywhere..drunk neighboors singing in the midle of the night as well :) Breakfast was poor but enough for short stay. Service was very kind and helpfull. Hotel is situated about 5 minutes from metro station..

We stayed there for a couple of days! Since we arrived Maria was extremely kind and helpful, the location is great, the room was small but very comfortable and also very clean! I would definitely stay there again!

The rooms were quite basic, but not bad. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom spacious and equipped with shampoo , shower gel and hair dryer. There was a fridge in the room also. The breakfast was basic, didn't have a very big variety, but it did the job. There are 2 metro stations in about 10 minutes walking distance. The area of the hotel is quiet, with super markets close by, but with not many restaurants around. The only thing i didn't like was the policy they had regarding late arrivals. The reception is open until 18:00, and if you arrive later than that you have to go and check in in another hotel (5-6 bus stops away) , and then come here. Not the most comfortable thing if you are arriving late at night.

This little hotel close to the metro station of "Sagrada Familia" has a really friendly staff that will help you out with anything you need to know about the city of Barcelona. The room we had was big with a surprisingly nice big bathroom too, the service was great, they change your towels and sheets every day and they also offer a little breakfast from 9:30 to 10:30 (sandwiches, coffee, juices, cereals...) The wifi is free and works really well. In case you have to check in after 6pm, make sure to call the hotel before, the reception is open only from 8 am til 6pm. About the location it is situated in a quiet street 5 minutes away from La Sagrada Familia cathedral and its subway station. I would recommend to stay here, and again, the staff made our stay really really comfortable :)

Couple that runs the hostel is very friendly and helpful, they did not speak english but with the very basic knowledge of spanish I managed just fine. Room was not 100% clean, but clean enough so I did not feel the need to complain. Shower and toilet worked fine, the biggest minus in the room that it doesnt have the air conditioner, so even tho I traveled in the end of October, it was quite hot. Internet worked fine in the room, I had to ask for the password separately. There is no kitchen facilities in the room so basically this hostal is just to spend the night in, take a shower and then get going. Location is great - Sagrada Familia is literally just 2 blocks away and there is lots of restaurants and coffee shops near by where you can get your breakfast. You can get to the center of Barcelona by foot easily and get to know the city a little more on the way. When I will go back to Barcelona I will most likely stay in Hostal Lazza again. I can recommend it if you are looking for a clean place to stay for a quite cheap price in the great location!

Travelled with family, the hotel room was not very clean nor well kept. The owner of the hotel as a courtesy did not assist us in lifting the luggages to our room which you had to climb stairs. The bathroom was kind of filthy, the toilet was broken, when you took a shower the water leaked as it looked like it was going to flood. The mattresses were springy and was hard to sleep at night or to take a little cat nap. The rooms were extra small, no air conditioning, could not open the windows and no continental breakfast. I highly recommend to stay at another hotel in Barcelona since Barcelona is a very lovely city and has a lot of activities.

This was the cheapest centrally located hotel we could find on short notice in Barcelona. It was very near our Barcelonan friends and the Sagrada Familia, so the location was perfect for us. We feared that we maybe had gone too low, but shouldn't have worried: the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, so we were pleased. One caveat: the room was warm in the afternoon and would have benefited from a fan. I wouldn't recommend it in August.
