Everything is clean, the hotel is very simple, not shampoo , not body cream, not coffe, not soap Only the arrival day

PROS: The location of this hotel was great, with it being walking distance to many great shops, restaurants, nightlife, transit stops, etc. CONS: The lobby and the rooms were outdated. There were huge cracks in the walls in our room. It was super loud in the rooms, with noise coming from other rooms and from what I assume was a kitchen right next to our room (with loud, banging sounds from dishes and whatnot). These cons would have been okay for us. However, one situation we dealt with will forever prevent me from staying with this hotel chain again (though it is not the fault of this particular location). After grabbing dinner, my husband accidentally mapped us to the Gran Ronda location instead of the Gran Ducat location. Our key card didn't work and the reception let us in. He asked us what room we were in, verified with his computer, and proceeded to fix our card (which he thought was not working). Because the lobby looked different from where we checked in, we asked if there was a different entrance, to which he said no. We then went to the room, assuming we just came from a different stairwell, and opened the door. In it, we found luggage and personal belongings galore - that didn't belong to us. We closed the door immediately, realizing that we were in the wrong place. This was a MAJOR security issue and could have very bad consequences. We should never have been allowed access to a room that was not ours. Needless to say, we were not pleased.

The room was really tiny and very noisy, you can hear other rooms and hallways. Bathroom smelled funky. Too expensive for what you get.

The location was great, 2 minutes walk from plaza Catalonia. The standard room are very small and the twin bed is like 1.40 m.after ask to change the room we move to bigger room but with 2 separate beds. The breakfast was fine but no vegetables...

Is a great location for such a cheap hotel.. but the room was clean and enough for the day in the city...

Hotel Ducat is in a great location right off of Plaça Catalunya. It's located across the street from El Corte Inglés (department store/supermarket), less than a block from the metro and Passeig de Gracia, and a block from las Ramblas, so it is close to numerous bars, restaurants, and shops. The staff is very friendly & speaks English as well. The room was very clean, had wi-fi & also a terrace easily big enough for 4 people. Because it was on the backside of the hotel there wasn't a view, but it was quiet. The only thing the room was missing was a fridge, but that was not that big of an issue. Overall, my wife & I would definitely stay there again.

Very helpful on what to do in Barcelona. It was in the downtown area

The hotel had minimal amenities, but has everything you need for a short stay in Barcelona. The staff was very helpful as well. I recomend for a one or two night stay!

the standard of 3-star hotel in Barcelona (may be in other European countries) is for more lower than those in the U.S. or Asia. Don't expect a lobby, concierge, bellman, coffe shop or pool etc. Rather this is a neat place for you to sleep. As a tourist, we shouldn't ask too much because everything is expensive. Furthermore, hotel rate keep rising every day in peak season.

I really like the location of this hotel. Everything are around us. The most important street which is las Rambla is just two blokes from the hotel. Also, the station city buses are on front of the hotel and the metro is just 20 meter from the hotel. On the other hand, the rooms are very small but modern and clean. I think this hotel is good for guys friend but not families because the small rooms. Also, u can ask the people who work in the front desk about which places that u can visit, they are very helpful. Thanks

It's perfectly situated for anyone who has never been to Barcelona and wanted to be close to all the action. Everything is really easy to get to from the hotel. The rooms were super clean, free wi-fi is a total bonus, it feels safe, secure and just overall, if you're traveling alone or don't know the city well, this is the perfect place for your trip.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel that it's fairly clean and location is good. Walking distance to everywhere, Plaça de Catalunya is basically at your door step. Other guests had mentioned the metro rumble and the street noise, which being from NYC didn't bother us much, what bothered us was that you can hear absolutely everything the other guests are doing, on our first morning in the hotel we woke up to someone throwing up, I swear we thought this guy was in our bathroom. Beyond grose. The staff is not very friendly, the guy that was there in the evening was ok, but an asian lady that was there during the day, was unfriendly, unhelpful and simply rude. If you need an iron, keep in mind that they only have one and they also use it in the services.. ridiculous for a 3 star hotel; also do know that if you need it, you'll have to go down to the reception desk to get it and then bring it back as soon as you are done, the lady on the reception desk actually made me go back to my room when we were on the way out, to bring it back... seriously? Anyway, there are so many hotels in the same area at a similar price point, that I will make sure to avoid this place on my next visit

pretty amazing for the price. rooms are not fancy but very clean.

That hotel locate very near to subway station. Has lot a noisy and no privacy of room to room. can hear every coversation from hallway.

Great location!!!

We were taking a cruise out of Barcelona on Sunday, so we flew in on Friday to get some rest and tour the city prior to the cruise. The room was clean, but not attractive. It was so loud, hearing all people speaking and banging things, that there was no way to get any sleep - ever! Also, a subway runs underneath it! The bathroom was adequate, but the exposed sewer smelled consistently - it was disgusting! The view was of some ugly roofs and buildings. The hotel was well located, it looked similar to other hotels in that area and the staff tried to be helpful. For what we got, it was terribly overprised and we will never stay there again! There is no way that that was a three star hotel!

good hotel, easy location, clean and comfortable

Visited all the sights Barcelona had to offer, great location close to grocery store and metro.

Very small rooms with very thin walls. Stayed two nights and was awoken both times by overly expressive [...] couples nearby. Rooms were clean but there was no room to do anything else but lie on the bed. Our window faced an internal vertical tunnel overlooking nothing but other windows and dead space. Finaly, the sliding windows could not be locked due to worn out latches. Would never again stay in this "motel".

Amazing location, friendly, nice rooms - all will be happy staying here.
