The hotel is situated close to the metro, the rooms are modern, clean and spacious enough. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A downside to the hotel is that the rooms are not that well insulated, you could hear the TV from the other rooms. That did not mind me very much, as we were out for most of the day. Overall a great experience and would recommend booking here.
We stayed here for about 10 days and were very impressed with the staff who really looked after us...even more than in some 4 and 5 star hotels we have visited. The lady cleaning our room called Noellia did an amazing job and was very considerate. At breakfast the lady who is always smiling made extra effort for me, I had been concerned there would not be much choice as I must eat gluten free but breakfast was great, she warmed my special gluten free bread and chocolate muffin for me each morning and was extremely friendly and made everything go smoothly during breakfast which was yummy! There was also a man on reception who was originally from Napoli who had great knowledge that helped us around the city and also helped us during some of the Catalan independence protest days to understand the effect on public trans[ort and other things. This hotel was clean and had everything we needed but the staff really made it a great experience so a big thank you to them :) Even though the hotel is not in the centre we liked the location and will be back here if we revisit Barcelona.
We booked a double, interior room. This was definitely quiet so it was ideal for what we needed as we spent very little time in the room itself. The room was very small, but again, not an issue as we spent little time there. The main problem was that the bed was very noisy - any time anyone moved it would wake the other up. It was also a relatively small double and would be much better as a single. Also, the room looks into a courtyard but the other rooms can see in. Surely the hotel could put some net curtain up so that the drapes could be kept open for natural light. Otherwise it was impeccably clean, the location was convenient for the metro and there were lots of places to eat nearby. Another thing I appreciated is that on the last day, they offered lockers for luggage storage at 2EUR each. These were nice and secure and much better than leaving bags behind reception. I was happy to pay this small fee for that convenience.
I stayed in this hotel a week, and found out, that it has very good price and quality ratio. The hotel is clean, and location is good: nearest shop behind the corner, and good restaurants in same area. Only short walk to famous La Flauta tapas-restaurant. The distance to nearest metro station is short, maybe 3 minutes by walk. The hotel itself was nice, clean and the breakfast was adequate; the staff was friendly too.
Hotel is obviously older, but has recently been refurbished and repainted, and is clean and bright. Breakfast buffet was good, though after five days it would have been nice to see some changes. GREAT coffee machine with endless choices; I could've played with it for hours, LOL. Hotel and neighbourhood are quiet and safe. Excellent location within a block of a metro station, giving one access to Barcelona's and Catalunya's amazing transport system. A slightly longer but easy walk to the aeroport shuttle bus stop. Lots of restaurants within an easy walk; even Plaça de Catalunya on La Rambla is a pleasant fifteen minute walk Staff were always helpful, friendly and accommodating, Lluis and Juan Carlos 'specially so. Happily recommend Bcn Urban Hotel Del Comte
Overall the hotel is great. Location is safe and rooms are clean and cosy. Only reason why I did not rate a 5 is because I find it rather expensive for what it offers. There was nothing unique about the hotel nor service. Hotel is very near to the Urgell metro station which makes it very convenient. I prefer to walk around the city and while the hotel is not exactly in the center, it is not far from it all. The main shopping belt of Passeig de Gracia is about 30 mins walk away. Didn't try the breakfast but there is a cafeteria few steps away from the hotel that serves fresh bread and pastries at a very reasonable price. Service at the front desk varies and most staff were generally helpful.
Very good place, helpful stuff, delicious breakfast! Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable! ! Very recommend for all types of travelers. You can find here everything. Value for the money. I will stay here and next time.
Here’s a quick review. could not check in until 3pm, they said no rooms available but everyone knows the cleaners start at like 9am and it doesn’t take 6 hours to clean a room! annoying! Rooms were good size and clean, but the road outside or horrifically noisy.
Good 2 star hotel with exellent location, near metro stations (100m. Urgell, 350m. Rocafort, 400m. Universitat.) and not so far away from Sants railwaystation. Nearby allso meny local restaurans and bar's. Cleaning every day, and quiet hotel.
Bcn Urban Hotels Del Comte is a small well-located hotel to visit the city and is also convenient for transferring to and from El Prat airport because there is a bus stop nearby. My room was very small but there was everything. The hotel is clean and new, the area is full of shops and restaurants.
