This was my first trip to Barcelona, and this hotel ended up being a great introduction to the city and the country. The area is chock-full of amazing food choices and shopping. Clearly, this is an upscale shopping area of Barcelona so if you have interest in your favorite luxury brands, you’re going to find the shopping here pretty amazing. The service at the hotel was exceptional. My room was small, but that’s to be expected in many places in Europe.

We stay one day , Hotel has a good location .Decour and color A little bit too dark for my taste , contemporary remind me College dorm Inside the room . We have two twin beds moved Together ,Mattress was hard . Beautiful garden outside with the pool . I got this hotel on sale Would never pay full price Not worth it . And also TV Has only two channels in English One was barely working , and another one news . Nothing to watch .

The room was renovated , very nice shower, nice washroom, fancy sink (not very practical but pretty!) , The TV, mini fridge and bed were great. I really really appreciated the fact that they had a nice clean metal kettle. I've always seen the plastic ones or a coffee maker and I hated it, this one was excellent (and a nice variety of tea bags, peppermint, chamomile, ...). house keeping was fast and efficient at their job, we didn't get unwanted knocks on our door in the morning. cons: The walls are very thin. you are lucky if you have good neighbor or no neighbor assigned. we weren't that lucky. other than the noise we heard from night to night, the last two nights were a disaster, some family decided to travel with a baby!!! and became our neighbor , the baby cried none-stop.even during the night, 3 a.m, 4 a.m ,... and the mother was even louder than the baby. it was really unfortunate. I wish the hotel staff paid more attention and assigned them a room further away from others when they saw the baby. Or the mother should have warned them that the baby doesn't have an off button!
The Alexandra is an excellent choice for visitors interested in Gaudi. The hotel has a sleek, modern interior and the room was very comfortable with a complimentary box of chocolates as a welcome treat. The staff was very helpful in arranging tickets for a bus tour and with an early morning departure. The only complaints is that the cafe has scant choices for food and the hotel is dark. For a one night stay it was fine. Longer visitors might be turned off by that, especially in this price range.
My first night at Alexandra hotel is a disappointment. My husband and I had booked a double (deluxe) room at this hotel 2 months before arrival. After registration, we were accompanied to a room. The our disappointment the room is small ( I guess for a single lowest rate room) and smell stuffy. The room has one window but a feet next to it is a wall. I was very unhappy. I went down and complained to the receptionist about the room is as not as what we booked during reservation (and confirmed by the hotel) and she mentioned that tho rooms are all full. The next day we were moved to the expected room.
This hotel is in the perfect location - right off La Rombla. Nice staff, easy food choices and near everything.
We had a great time at this hotel. The location was ideal - centrally located but not near the overly touristy area of the Ramblas. It was a short walk to most of the main attractions - I would definitely stay here again for the location alone. The hotel itself was beautiful and pristine and the staff were very helpful. The only issue we had was that the shower became scalding hot every 90 seconds and the issue never got resolved during our week-long stay.
Hotel is located ear La-rambla Diagonal subway station , train station and the Hop on hop off bus. So the location is very convenient. A lot of restaurants are located very close to the hotel The room was very modern and clean The staff was vey helpful and eager to help any way they could Could not be better, highly reccomended.
This hotel has a great location close to Gaudi's La Pedrera, Passeig of Gracia, Las Ramblas. The room is comfortable and clean, nice bathroom. Great upscale hotel, amazing neighborhood, l"Eixample quarter, clean modern, free wifi, walk to cool restaurants, sidewalk cafes and bars.
Location is very good, rooms clean and good staff. Noisy rooms ( both from inside and outside) and a little less sophisticated room furniture than you would have expected from internet images.
This is the perfect location for walking everywhere or to take the train. There are great choices for eating out and shopping nearby. The rooms are very modern and the staff is exceptional.
we had great experience. staff were very friendly and helpful giving us directions to the metro and to tennis tournament etc. We spent 2 nights and had dinner which was very good. Hotel very clean and comfortable and had English TV...CNN and BBCwill stay here again[...]
The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was neat and spacious. Very comfortable bed. The hotel was just a short walk to all the major shopping locations like Gucci, Channel and Burberry. Also, a short walk to major art musuems, Gaudi is just 3 blocks away. I had the best time in Barcelona because of my stay in this hotel.
