We decided to stay at this hotel due to the proximity to the BCN airport (approx 10 minute car ride)...We were pleasantly surprised...This hotel is a hidden gem...it is located in a quite, beachfront neighborhood and is fairly small ( about 68 rooms) the room were modern and comfortable and it was a Please to have the window open and here the ocean...The bar, while not large was nice and so were the seating accommodations...The hotel had a really nice feel to it...If you want to get away from hustle and noise and still want to be in proximity to the airport this hotel shld be one of your top choices! We definitely will be back!

What a wonderful surprise. I booked this hotel because it was near the airport and we were flying out the next day. In retrospect I would have spent 2 or 3 nights here. The hotel is lovely a very typical AC hotel by Marriott (we stayed on points) with no airplane noise. The beach is beautiful and swimable, I found it to be much better than the beaches in Barcelona. The local area had great food and catered to locals not foreigners, which made the language barrier a bit tricky but wonderful to have authentic, not tourist, food.

If you’re looking for a good business stay a little out of downtown Barcelona the AC GARVA Mar is perfect. It’s 10 minutes from the airport so this is very convenient. You’ll need 30 minutes into downtown via Taxi or if you hire a car. The hotel is right on the beach and such a great location if you like an early morning walk before heading to business meetings. The staff are all great and very friendly and helpful. If you’re lucky enough to travel with your better half, they can relax around the pool or enjoy the beach. There’s a very nice business area if you need to work from the hotel as well.

Hotel situated nicely right by ths beach Lovely outside area including pool Rooms modern and clean. Air conditioning aweful and rooms extremely hot Like all AC hotels service for food/drink very poor as they insist on 1 member of staff only Check in was ok but reception man did not understand what was going on Parking terrible

I visited this hotel in May 2016 and really wanted to return. I returned for four days with my friends before my wedding and we all loved it. There was rain on the Saturday and September in Barcelona sees quite a large dip in temperatures. We really enjoyed our stay there and all had sea view rooms without having to ask. The staff as ever are very attentive and helpful. Sadly the pillows haven't changed so they are very high for my neck. The doors to the bathroom are glass doors (frosted glass) and so there isn't a huge amount of privacy as the doors dont seal shut.I highly recommend this hotel. It is a mixed hotel both for a holiday stay and is a business hotel also. My friends and I hope to return again.

Nice hotel, pool and beach. But it is not close to down town Barcelona. If you want a place closer to the airport then this is the place. The food is OK, I asked to borrow a charger to charge my I pad and they said it would be €50. (no thanks) I just waited until the next day and bought one from a local store in Barcelona.

We loved our stay here. The room and bathroom were very beautiful and clean. Our view of the beach from room 211 was amazing. We slept with the balcony doors open to hear the beautiful beach sounds while we slept. The beach is just steps from the hotel. The hotel is very close to the airport. It was only 10 Euros and about 10 minutes to get there from the airport but getting back to the airport was 17 Euros. We took a cab to the City Center which was about a half hour away. The hotel restaurant had good food and good food choices. We dined inside one evening and dined outside the next afternoon. My friend ordered room service and the pancakes were cold which was the only complaint we had. This hotel is definitely worth the price paid.

We booked room only and that room housed the best bed we have ever slept in, What a treat. Beautiful bathroom. Lovely hotel with extensive gardens and beautiful pool area with plenty of loungers and shades. The terrace is very pleasant both day and night. The garden gate leads directly to a pristine beach. No hassle bus every 20 minutes to La Ramblas on parallel road only 2Euro15. Couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. All staff very pleasant, and made very welcome by bar staff.

Great hotel close to the airport ,beach and restaurants and bars. Nice pool area and staff are efficient and helpful. One of the restaurant staff even helped us with our translation at a bar down the road while off duty. This is good value for money and a nice alternative to the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. You can get a bus to Barcelona from right near the hotel for about 6 euro and it takes about 30 min.

We stayed at the start of October, arriving on a Saturday. We checked in a and went to the bar to get a snack but they were clearing away to close at 11; however, it was 10.30 but the guy was adamant, no drinks, no food. The hotel is in a residential area with only one seafood restaurant nearby--my partner doesn't eat sea food/fish so we got nothing. The guy at reception did give us some hot water for tea in a plastic cup (after the bar guy refused to given him any). So we went to bed---but at 12.30 the room began to shake---a party was going on two floors below--and you could hear everything. I put in earplugs--but it got louder. At 1pm I went to reception to complain; the staff apologised and said they would call down to get the music turned down. It got louder!--at 2.30 with earplugs in I could still hear 'Greased lightning' at full volume. Not until 4am or so did I get to sleep but had to get up at 8, exhausted. Breakfast was good with hot food as well as fruit and pastries. The hotel has a charming pool and gardens and it is a short walk across a path to the sandy Gava beaches. When asked how our stay was on checking out I said we had very little sleep despite complaining--they did apologise and let us off the charges for breakfast but--if you pay for a decent hotel the least you can expect is to sleep --so I would not come back on the basis of this experience.
