The hotel was a very good place to stay. We had the breakfast meal plan, which was a buffet and very good way to start your day. There are three swimming pools, a great beach with water sports most included in the cost of the room. The three restaurants were very good, we did go to some local one's, visited Bridgetown and Holetown and Oistins Fish Fry. Overall a great trip.

Having been to Barbados and stayed on the south coast, we opted this time to stay on the west coast. Most of the resorts are quite expensive, but we felt that the overall experience was on par with the cost. The included breakfast was great. The pools are lovely, beach is lovely, with the exception of the rocks/coral, making it hard to swim in most of the sea in front of the hotel and the fact that much of the beach is shaded. The included water sports are great. We had a few lunches and one dinner at the hotel, all pretty good. The kids club was great and was a good way to keep our young daughter out of the sun. We used the sitter services as well, and it was efficient and flexible. They could not be more accommodating. Truly a hotel that aims to please.

Wonderful hotel - location is perfect (20 min to Bridgetown and 10 to Holetown) with a bus stop right out front. We took the bus during the day into Bridgetown (can't beat $1 fare) and felt safe. The hotel staff are fabulous - nothing is too big of a request and they were so helpful as this was our first time to the island and their advice helped us plan our days. They helped arrange island tours, sunset cruise, etc. The beaches are beautiful and the reef provided fun daily snorkeling (saw plenty of fish and even a sea turtle). Not too crowded so we had plenty of options for seating by pools/beach. Rooms were larger than I expected with a beautiful ocean view and comfortable bed. Be sure to try Daphne's (restaurant next door) for delicious dinner. Loved it and will hopefully be back!

We had a great honeymoon experience! The entire staff was friendly and welcomed us with a celebratory bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries (complimentary). They also were able to assist us with any questions we had and navigating the island. The room was clean, comfortable with a wonderful view. The food, drinks, etc were delicious and the beach/pool were fabulous!

I literally had to get away on doctor's orders for some sun and relaxation, and the Tamarind was perfect — beautiful ocean-front spot with clear waters and sunner skies — and just steps from the beach.

well placed hotel right on the beach. can see and feel the ocean from any room ! important item - all the water sports (banana rides, water ski, sailboats) are included in price !

Hotel was nice. Would not call it a 5-star hotel, just your average island hotel. Staff was very nice and polite. However, the noise was the biggest turnoff of this hotel. Kids were consistantly running up and down the hallways screaming and the sound came piercing through the walls. I think it should advertise as a family hotel and that those looking for relaxation, piece and tranquillity should find an adult only hotel. We poltely asked the staff to talk to the patrons to see if they could keep the noise down. They offered to move us to a room that the view was not nearly as nice as ours and we did decline. However, the noise was endless. From 6:30am to 10:00pm it was non-stop screaming and yelling of children. I think the parents were on vacation from watching their kids and focused on tuning the kids out with alcoholic drinks. Will not recommend to friends.

The hotel is beautifully kept and the rooms are amazing, clean and comfortable. We stayed in the ocean view junior suite and that was definitely a perfect choice. The sunset from the room was phenomenal. All the water sports are included and that was fun. The hotel staff were very friendly and warm. The location is also convenient to all the west coast has to offer. I woul definitely stay there again upon our return to Barbados.

Loved our stay. Room was tucked into a courtyard overlooking the pool, but we still had a view of the ocean. Steps from the beach. Property had great areas for lounging, comfortable chairs in grassy areas, near the pool, and on the beach. Attentive staff, helpful. Clean all around, and rooms were spacious and clean. Loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat.

Very nice staff, other than the new furniture and wall art not much change since rebadging as an Elegant Hotel. Good breakfast buffet. Great beach staff. Recommend Orvie for watersports, very soft sell. Pet peeve charging for wifi.

The hotel is in a great spot of the west coast of Barbados with magnificent beaches The location is near enough other hotels and a small town that If you choose to hang out in the area there are excellent restaurants nearby. Hoping in cab and going down to Georgetown or St Lawrence Gap is only about 20 mins away and is easy as wellThe hotel is beautifully renovated and the rooms were elegant, clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive, extremely friendly and warm. The staff definitely made our stay worth while and added to the wonderful experience we hadLook for[...] as part of the hotel staff! You will enjoy your stay guaranteed!

Decent renovation, hotel staff was extremely helpful, very nice people.

We loved the location of Tamarind Cove. We rented a car and found it a great starting point for seeing the sights. The roads are narrow and signage is a problem but the island is small (14 miles by 21 miles) so it is hard to get lost for long. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and great snorkeling (equipment included in room rate). We also got the breakfast plan which was a delicious buffet with custom omlets if you wanted one. The staff seemed bored and a bit angry. We had to search out information about the hotel and surrounding area - no one volunteered this and when we asked we got very short answers. I know they want you to eat at one of the restaurants on site (very pricey) but area information would have been so helpful. The managers cocktail party was good and [...](the new manager) was very friendly. He has a big job ahead changing the staff attitude which I understand are union employees. They will also be starting some renovations. I found the place charming and very clean with only a few spots that needed some attention. The computer room and water taxi were a pleasure (also free). A long time guest told me that they are going through a change of staff and many are not happy. Too bad they allow the guests to feel the friction. The off season price was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. This was definately one of the nicest trips and the Tamarind was a good part of that.

This 5 day trip was amazing. Barbados was gorgeous, our Jet Blue flights were spacious and the hotel was wonderful. Tamarind Cove is located on a calm, crystal blue sea on the east side of the island. There are three pools and unlimited water sports. This was the biggest draw for me and my fiancé. We did waterskiing, kayaking, sailing etc and this was all included with our hotel. It would have cost us a fortune if it wasn't included. The front desk staff, concierge, restaurant workers and bellhop were very kind and polite. We knew most of their names by the end of our trip. I would definitley recommend Tamarind Cove.

The hotel was comfortable, but could use some updating.

Beautiful island but the overall feel is that as a tourist you are a necessary evil and a bit of a nuisance.

This hotel is situated on the west coast which is definitely the better part of the island to stay at. The water there is very calm and great for swimming and snorkeling. However, if you are looking for a fun and hip environment this is not for you. During our stay there was no one there in their 20s. Majority of guests there were over the age of 55. Hotel facilities were pretty basic and dated; this is no more than a 3 star hotel. However, the free breakfast and watersports made it a great value. Definitely try the free sailing, it was so peaceful and relaxing. The food at Oasis Bar was actually really good although expensive. There are coral reefs all along the beach that are great for snorkeling which you can rent for free. About a 5 min walk down the beach is a place where all the snokeling tours take people to see sea turtles. You can just snorkel out on your own and the turtles are really friendly. Whatever you do, bring some change so you can pay for the taxi to the hotel. The front desk does not have change in USD and will give you money in BDS instead except the exchange rate is 1.88 instead of the pegged 1.98. There is a mini mart across the street at the gas station who will give you the 1.98 exchange rate for purchases. Also dont use the hotel taxi for your trip back to the airport. It's supposed to be only 60 BDS (pre-set island rate) but the hotel charges $80 BDS instead, what a rip off! We got a driver's business card and asked him to pick us up instead. I was initially torn between staying here and at the Hilton. The costs was the same for both but eventually opted for Tamarind Cove due to its location. After visiting the Hilton I'm so glad I stayed here instead. The ocean there is very wavy because it's on the southern tip and you can't swim in the water. The Hilton has better pools and is newer but hey you come to Barbados for the beach! The water on the west coast is like a bath - warm, calm and clear. Overall I really liked Barbados but I'm not sure I'll stay here again. I will likely upgrade to the Colony Club instead.

We had a good time snorkeling, Kayaking and walking the beach. The bar and restaurant was good. The beach was large and all sand. The nearby reefs had fish of every color and the water was clear and warm.

The hotel staff was very friendly. I wish I had a better room location and the bed mattress was very unconfortable you definitely get what you pay for. I would suggest you spend a little extra money and get a suite with a veiw. It will make a big difference.
