The air conditioner barely worked , shower malfunctions and more

The room is basic and clean. The pool is nice, easy beach access across the street. However, The staff at front desk are untrained and some are very rude. There is no front desk staff late at night, only some security men that are sleeping and one was very rude to me. It was cropover season so the lobby was continuously dirty, there should be staff there at night cleaning up. The breakfast is terrible and greasy and very expensive. This is my second time staying here over cropover and it was disappointing. This time more disappointing than last year. It is not worth the money, because it is about 130 usd a night. I won't stay here again and won't recommend it to anyone.

I've been to motels better than this "hotel." There is no concierge service - they have no helpful recommendations for things to do or places to go. All the other hotels in the area have nice lobbies and restaurants - Sunbay's lobby has some old chairs. The rooms are small and offer very little - you have to bring your own shampoo. The free wifi barely reached our room. And the cleaning crew did whatever they could to avoid cleaning our room. We had to remind them numerous times to clean - even when we had the clean room sign around our door knob. They would just blame it on "misunderstandings." To top it off, the receptionist said she would reserve a cab for us to catch our red-eye flight but of course she didn't come through so we had to scramble to find one at the last minute, almost missing our flight. Good service is not having to think twice about promises being kept - this place made me question everything the staff said they'd take care of. This was probably the worst hotel I've ever been to. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This resort had everything we needed. The kids loved the food and beach area was perfect for them to wade in. Great price and would come again.

This was my escape vacation...went away to get rest and relaxation. This hotel was perfect for that. Not too much excitement but not completely dead. The food was ok but the options were not authentic Bajan food, which was disappointing. If you are traveling alone, however, it may be better to stay at a hotel along the main road or plan to take a taxi if you are coming in late. The walk from the main road where the zeddar drops you off is a bit desolate. I booked last minute and the price was right so it was well worth the value. So, overall..pretty alright. The workers need to put a smile on their face and be more service orientated though. Such a turn off..

I was overall a good stay...kids enjoyed the pool...hotel very clean... Staff friendly

the staff wasn't nice at all the hotel look nothing like the pictures it was out dated room wasn't clean and the breakfast was suppose to come with package we got there and they said they no longer offer free breakfast and that the web page is out dated over all we ended up spending more money then if we had went to a 5 star hotel moral of the story go with the 5 star hotel better service and u get your money worth

The hotel was nice.it's about a 20-30 car ride from town. The tvs should be up dated by otherwise it was a great getaway

Hi, The hotel was okay, the staff was friendly. It was located off of a main road. I'll prefer to stay among a strip of hotels. There are no stores near the hotel, you have to travel to get to one. I like to be in a vibrant area, I'll stay again only if other hotels were sold out.

Best trip ever and very friendly staff at hotel..Crop Over was amazing

The room was very comfortable but the hotel was a little far from the airport.

Not a very good location but good basic hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good signal on wi fi....but horrible tv reception.

Phone didn't work the whole time, which for me who actually needed to make quite a few local calls was not okay. Not my 1st visit to Barbados, the employees weren't the friendly Bajans I am used to. I did read reviews before staying and I got exactly what I was expecting.

Peeves: No shampoo. Pay-per-use internet. It seems they are a little short on money or sense. Nickel and dime-ing doesn't make money in the hotel business. Charge an extra $2 a night and provide shampoo and a free internet terminal. They just made a new bar and it didn't have any overhang on the countertop. Try sitting at one of these. It's a joke. They had a pool table laying on the floor, so you couldn't use it, and the new roof over the dining area was leaking at the seams. They don't know what they are doing.

My husband and I stayed here for about 3 weeks and we had a great time. Its not a luxury hotel but the staff are great and its convenient and affordable. The continental breakfast is standard, I feel as though it could be better. The pools are excellent and the room is always kept extremely clean. Its relatively close to St.Lawrence Gap where a lot of party spots, bars, etc are. I do wish there was a kitchenette in the room because spending 3 weeks there and buying food every night became rather expensive. If the breakfast given in the morning was a bit more hearty... we could have saved some money. At the end of my stay we knew all of the staff and I would definitely recommend staying here... maybe not for 3 weeks but for a shorter vacation.

This is nice clean, quiet hotel and a good value for the money. Amenities are lacking but then again it doesn't claim to offer much so you get what they advertise. The pool and garden area is very pretty and relaxing and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was friendly , if not very fast, but thats the Caribbean way . The only meals available are brakfast and we were on the continental plan so it was ok. Nothing special. I would NOT recommend the all inclusive which means lunch and dinner are across the street at their sister hotel and the food there is horrible. We slept here and used the pool on occassion but we went beach hopping and sight seeing by renting a car. If you want the extras this hotel is not for you. If you want a clean , quiet, laid back place to relax then this is great. Remember this is not a beach front hotel. The beaches that are within a 3 minute walking distance are ok but there are much more beautiful and comfortable beaches on the island to enjoy. BTW renting a car will save you a ton of money as cabs are very expensive. A 10-15 minute cab ride will cost from $15-$20 each way. One can easily spend $80 per day on cabfare.

Much confusion, the wait staff in the only restaurant in the hotel were less then friendly. Maybe they were understaffed/ overworked because no one seemed to smile. We had the complimentary breakfast in the morning which consists of coffee or tea, two pieces of toast, and a small muffin and Danish. We were not offered any juice the first two days of our stay, although we came to find out we should have been. Also, on the last day we were asked our choice of bread for our toast. I guess it all depends on who waits on you. Not very consistent.

Our room was very basic, although it did have a fridge (which was very noisy), we didnt have other amenties that seemed to be in the other rooms (coffee machine, microwaves). Our continental breakfast was included, also very basic two pieces of toast, a small pastry and either a muffin or danish, oj and coffee - that was it, you didnt get anything else. Beware - a lot of the facilities advertised at this hotel - kids club, mini golf etc., are actually at the other property - the Barbados beach club, a short walk up the road. they are doing renovations, so it was very noisy during the day. The hot water didnt work properly sometimes, so we had tepid showers (thank goodness it was hot). The pool area was lovely. The restuarant was open at different hours at nite, so you never knew what time you could eat. There are not many places to eat nearby, you have to catch a taxi to them. All in all, this hotel will be lovely when they finish the renovations.
