Stayed at the South Beach hotel for 10 days in April and had a really good time Checking in was easy and they gave us a delicious welcome rum punch The unit was clean, bright and spacious. There is a kitchen stocked with pots, plates, appliances and cutlery. (But u will have to get seasonings, oil, condiments if u intend on cooking) We had the one bedroom suite. The bedroom is quite small and I found it a little claustrophobic as it had little natural light. The sofa bed in the living room is more like a futon and seemed a lot smaller than a double. But the layout is a smart design and our room had a nice view. The hotel is located across the street from a lovely beach and a little further down is a beach club. Their pool is small but cute and not too cold. Our breakfast was included and did the job. It would be nice if u could eat outside. There was an area by the bar that was hardly utilized. We did not know the restaurant had dinner until the last night when we got a flyer under our door. One caveat. The reservation desk was almost impossible to get in touch with. I have never experienced such poor service when dealing with a hotel. Expedia tried several times to contact the hotel unsuccessfully to see what rooms were available at the initial booking and then six months later representatives from Expedia, booking.com and finally myself were unable to get someone on the phone discuss a credit that was to be made. It was only when I actually got to the hotel was the matter haphazardly resolved
Good rooms, good location, great staff. This place is value for the money. It's across from a good beach and within easy walking distance of some good lunch places like Blakey's. The buses are right outside the door too.
Very good value for money , this hotel is clean and very friendly staff. The hotel is located directly opposite Accra beach and within walking distance of restaurants and shops . The rooms are large are very cozy .
Fantastic Hotel, recommend highly ! Friendly staff, high quality rooms, good breakfast and other facilities. Great location, quiet enough to get a good nights sleep, great value for money, has relatively recently been refurbished so fresh and contemporary.
Welcoming start with friendly helpful staff. The hotel was clean and fresh the lift had been newly installed and was quick and super smooth. Our room was clean and had all the amenities you could want but was a bit cluttered. Sheets and towels changed regularly. Hotel situated close to the beach and restaurants and we enjoyed daily walks the nearby boardwalk. We had breakfast at the hotel every day and found the choice and quality better than expected with friendly helpful staff. Looking forward to our next holiday there.
I regularly visit Barbados to look after my grandparents and have been looking for accommodation to host an event in 2019. This hotel was recommended to me the week I was due to leave. They welcomed me to look around and answered all my questions so I ended up booking in to end my last few days there. Great decision, the pictures are exactly as the hotel is even better. Best Customer Service I have experienced in the 20 years I have been visiting. I return in 3 weeks and cannot wait!!!
First Time in Barbados. Hotel was in a wonderful location staff were very friendly and helpful. Cheron was duty when we checked in on the 18th of March she helped make our stay very pleasant and always greeted us with a smile. She was always willing to help us.
Just returned home from a fabulous 11 days holiday at South Beach. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff, always very friendly and happy to help. This is our 6th visit to the island and hotel is owned by previous places we stayed, Sea Breeze and Ocean 2. We had a junior suite, rooms are very big and spacious. Plenty of storage space. Big walk in shower and full size toiletries provided. Extra space in suitcase for more shoes! Clean towels daily, bed made and room cleaned. Beach towels provided and ticket for sun lounger on the beach. Just pay $10 BD (approx £3) for umbrella daily. The only thing that needs upgrading is the safe. They still have the old fashioned removable lock and key. I would imagine an elderly person may struggle to lock the safe, I certainly did and I'm only 61! Replace with digital. Special shout out to Harriet, Cheron, Francina and the other breakfast staff, Randi, Junior and Carlisle. See you next year😎
South Beach is a great place to stay. Pretty central and within easy reach of shops, restaurants and a lovely beach. We stayed on the fourth floor facing a busy street and the beach - but we encountered no problems with noise and slept really well. The room is more like an apartment than just a room - it has a lovely two sink walk in shower room and a fully equipped working kitchen ( one of our nights we decided to eat in and I cooked a fabulous steak, jacket potatoes and a mix of vegetables helped down by a very smooth red wine) dining area, lounge and a balcony . The bedroom was to the back of the room and was quiet and comfortable. The entire hotel is kept exceptionally clean, with room service daily. Breakfast was very good, with great variety both hot and cold, and the staff are very accommodating cooking your eggs just how you like them with a smile. It’s the staff that make the hotel special, they are all really welcoming, friendly and helpful - I will remember my first visit to Barbados as the land of beautiful sunshine smiles! Overall a fabulous relaxing place to stay! wouldn’t hesitate to recommend !
