We stayed for two weeks end of Feb/beg of March. Been to Barbados many times before but never stayed at Rostrevor. We loved it and have already booked again for next year! So many good things to say about this hotel....clean, friendly staff, close to all amenities, hot water and cold drinks! Can't wait till next year!
Only stayed one night, but that was a Saturday night when all the bars and restaurants on the street stay open all night. We could hear the patrons of all these establishments carousing all night long. We were told this is the only night it happens. Otherwise, great hotel.
I really enjoyed my stay at Rostrevor Hotel. I had a deluxe ocean view room and the view was incredible. It was my 50th birthday and the staff sent me up a complimentary bottle of wine. Thank you again - much appreciated! The room was perfect for my needs and was kept very clean. The king bed was great and the pillows were fantastic. Nice shower with lots of hot water. Whichever way you venture on the gap, there are great restaurants. Everything within easy walking distance . Such a friendly and safe vibe in the area of this hotel. The staff at this hotel were all quite friendly which I appreciated. Very good stay.
Good location on the Gap, with bars and restaurants opposite. Only 5 minutes walk to the main road for the bus stop. A great view of the ocean from your room, we saw turtles swimming past a few mornings. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels changed daily. Rooms are a good size, bit dated but clean with everything you need for a 2 week stay. All the staff are very helpful, security guys are on site 24 hours a day. Bar area next to the pool and a small beach on site. Only a 10 minute walk to either Dover Beach, or the better beach is Worthing beach as you can see the turtles by just walking out a bit, 20 BDS for 2 sunbeds at Barbeque 101 bar, its only a short walk up the main road. After looking at the other hotels in the area for the same price range, I would defiantly choose this hotel over the others. Good standard hotel, no issues during our stay and would recommend a visit.
A great view of the ocean! A spacious room, very clean and everything is in good working order. No sign of any bugs. The property has a large pool with a deck that runs the length of the property over-looking the ocean. A very small sandy beach for swimming, but only a 10 minute walk to Dover Beach nearby. The Gap is quiet during the day but it turns into party central at night. Many bars, restaurants and night clubs up and down the Gap. The music is loud and it goes on until 2:00 AM. So, unless you are a geezer, you just need to join in and enjoy the experience.
Only good things to say about this hotel. On arrival we were welcomed and informed about the property as we were first timers. The room was clean and well prepared and the view was just exquisite. The Gap has a wide variety of food places and bars as well as a small convenience store next door. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights in a superior ocean view room it was just perfect the view was amazing. The room came well equipped its very clean housekeeping provided daily with clean towels couldn't ask for better. The only negative thing is we book a double bed we got two twin beds put together it was a little uncomfortable. Otherwise every thing was on point love the small private beach and will definitely be rebooking to return to rostrevor hote.
I only stayed here 1 night on a layover and my title may be misleading because I've made an assumption rather than experienced it myself! I arrived at 10pm after a long delayed flight and 26 hours on my feet. As the taxi turned into St Lawrence Gap, I could hear the loud music. The street was lined with clubs and bars. Rostrevor Hotel was directly across the road from one of those places. The room I had was a Superior Ocean View one, with both air conditioning and a ceiling fan. There was also a kitchenettte and balcony / terrace. Very pleasant and a good size. Although the music could be heard on entering the room, it could not be heard on the balcony, and with the airconditioning on (and bathroom door shut) it actually was only very faintly heard, so my desperately needed sleep was not interrupted. Unfortunately, my flight out was at 8am, so I checked out at 5:30am and did not have the opportunity to experience more than my room!
We stayed at the Rostrevor for three nights in March prior to our cruise, From the moment we checked in everything was perfect, The staff were friendly and welcoming and very approachable, As it was dark when we arrived we didni't realise what the view from the balcony was going to be like but the next morning -WOW!!! A view to die for. We were on the second floor and had not upgraded our room but it was still lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable and we had a huge balcony. We ate breakfast for the three mornings we were there at the onsite Almond Tree cafe. The food was lovely and hot and was served with a smile. There are plenty of places outside of the hotel to have breakfast but we personally liked the convenience of just walking down to the pool. As we were only there for three nights we only used the pool facilities for a couple of hours as we were exploring the area but we always managed to get a sunbed. On the day we were leaving to go to the cruise port the hotel booked a taxi for us which arrived on time with a friendly driver, All in all we had a lovely stay at the Rostrevor and would definitely stay here again as we plan to go back to Barbados for longer next time.
We stayed for 11 nights from mid March in a Superior ocean view room on 2nd floor. We had organised the hotel to collect us from the airport and this was the perfect start to a perfect stay at the Rostrevor. We arrived around 8pm and after a swift check in we were shown to our 2nd floor room. As we hah had a long flight we literally dropped our bags and headed out for a bite to eat and a beer. On our return we unpacked our cases and found there was ample closet and drawer space with plenty of hangers, We were room only so never ate at the hotel. The room, grounds and pool were immaculately clean with an abundance of staff all willing to help with any issues. The views from the balcony are stunning and the small beach more than big enough for a dip in the ocean. Plenty of sunbeds for all. Although this is a 3 star hotel it is worthy of more, we have stayed in many 3, 4 and 5 star hotels around the world and this is by far the best 3 star and probably as good if not better that most 4 star hotels we have stayed at. The hotel location is excellent and we never had any issues with noise or street vendors. We would fully recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area, lots of bars and excellent dining within walking distance either way.
