Balcony faces right out on the ocean with a beautiful view. Room had a great little kitchen. Comfortable bed. Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants and fun nightlife. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice beach for the daily ocean swims. Recommend this hotel

My husband and I have just arrived back after 2weeks at the rostrevor hotel in a deluxe ocean view, although all the rooms have an ocean view, obviously ground floor isn't as spectacular, they still also have ocean views. The rooms all have facilities for catering, if you wanted to, the rooms have two ring hob, kettle microwave, toaster & coffee maker a fridge with small freezer. There is a small bar & restaurant, where you can get breakfast or lunch, there is happy hour at the bar twice a day. A pool small private beach. All the staff are so friendly, from management down to the maintenance men. The rooms are kept very clean as are all other area's of the hotel. The hotel is like one big family guest's and staff. We can't recommend the hotel enough and look forward to going back soon. There are plenty of restaurants about.Verna who works the bar and restaurant is so friendly and can't do enough for you.

Stayed at Rostrevor in Dec 17, been to this hotel many times before and have had some nice holidays , however on returning in December there was definitely a number of issues surfacing that need attention before I would return . Firstly the positives we stayed in the newest of the apartments blocks ,on second floor, room is spacious and generally cleaning is of a good standard ,comfortable beds and nice bedding with great views of the ocean . Now for the negatives, Pool deck is definitely in need of a refurb, spending two weeks looking at ripped sun brollies and deck chairs is not what I'm looking for on a hard earned holiday , the sun beds also are a mess. The barbed wire at the left hand side of the deck also is not exactly the view you'd hope to have , appreciate something is needed from a safety perspective but surely something more easier on the eye would be possible? Guests getting up at the crack of dawn to get a sun bed and then not use it for most of the day also , this was almost exclusively fellow brits to blame ,definitely felt like a touch of Benidorm behaviour raising its ugly head in Barbados not what I and I sure others come to the island for .

We recently stayed at the Rostrevor. There were pros and cons to this hotel I will list below Pros: close to Nightlife and restaurants in the Gap ,new quiet Ac, beautiful ocean view, nice to have kitchenette, cleaning staff did great job and hotel staff very helpful Cons: the bars in close proximity create a lot of noise, we took earplugs as per a previous reviewers suggestion however I could still hear the bass and Djs at 3am with the bathroom door closed. The noise was especially bad on Thursday to Sat nights. If you want a quiet spot this is not the place for you. I am surprised at the number of seniors at this complex given the noise. Bed...a king beg was two single mattresses but together, pillows were undersized. Our unit needed an update the shower head basically just poured water out like a faucet. Towels...only two bath and handtowels provided no shampoo etc. Beach is very small. This was our second visit to the island. We thought we would enjoy staying in the Gap and chose this hotel based on a friends recommendation. Based on our experience we will be looking elsewhere next visit somewhere a little quieter ,more updated with a better beach.

Fantastic Holiday, clean and very friendly hotel, bars around are cheap if you start at cocktail kitchen and work your way down, all 2 4 1 drinks, booked to go back already, we loved it. Worthing beach nearby is beautiful turtles swim in everyday about 1pm

Nothing over fancy about this place but our deluxe studio is perfect for our needs. In the centre of the Gap it can be noisy but now that the nightclub across the road is no longer and the karaoke bar has been toned down its much less intrusive. Good size pool area and access to a small beach for swimming in the sea and well placed for all the bars and restaurants this place in my view is difficult to beat.

My husband and I have just returned from the rostrevor in beautiful barbados this is our 3rd stay at the gap and 2nd time staying at the rostrever we had a fantastic time all the rooms are overlooking the beautiful ocean and are cleaned daily by the maids who do a fantastic job much appreciated. The staff make you feel very welcome,we arrived new years eve for two weeks and could not fault anything checked in straight away and shown to our room in the delux wing . We had breakfasts and lunch on several occasions the fish cakes and sweet potato fries were very tasty. We went to oistins fish fry on two occasions and had food and plenty of rum. lots of places to visit spent time in the capital Bridgetown to look around the shops and have a drink by the harbour . Thanks to all the staff for another fantastic relaxing holiday in sunny barbados We will be back again next year

Stayed for 1 week 4th December - 12th December 2017. Cannot beat this location, hotel is right in the centre of the gap. Reasonably priced Taxi's outside the front of the hotel 24 hours a day, used these to go to both Oistins & Bridgetown. Brilliant view from the room and plenty of sunbeds available if you get down before 10am. Room cleaned everyday. Good wifi connection, was able to stream films through this. Recommend Sharkeys Bar for drinks (opposite the hotel) and Happy days café for breakfast (100m down the road).

Excellent modern large room with balcony out to sea and very clean . However there were no shampoos , shower gels etc . Everything except WiFi was extra . Staff were indifferent mostly and even downright rude In the bar area . Razor wire around the property ( see photos ) but if you stay Saturday night you will not sleep from the street part outside . Pity as this a lovely location.

After travelling to Barbados, St Vincent and St Lucia, we returned to Barbados for one more night before our flight back. We arrived at the hotel around 1:30-2pm but had to wait another hour or so to get the room. Meanwhile, another couple came in asking for a room (not booked) and they received the key right away (while I was still waiting). Our room- Basic, next to the swimming pool with a terrace and a kitchen, super small bathroom. Bring your own soap. Has access to a tiny beach and if you walk for 2-3 mins on the main street, you can get access to a proper beach. The area though, is great. Easy access to the airport (20 mins or less drive- 50Barb) and great restaurant options. It's more lively than Accra beach (where I stayed previously) and definitely more touristy. Because of that, if you are planning to stay there for 1-2 nights or you do need a kitchenette, the hotel is good. Haven't checked around, for that price maybe other hotels are similar or the other rooms in this hotel are better. Oh, they offer late check out for 20US extra- great. Overall, I would return in the area but would definitely stay in another place. Attention to details do matter for light travelers (soup, shower gel, shampoo, etc).
