8 of us got together at the Mango Bay to celebrate a 25th anniversary & birthday both of which the Mango Bay went out of their way to make special. From the point we arrived we were made very welcome in this beautiful hotel right on the west coast beach but right in Holetown. There were many good things here, the food was fabulous definitely restaurant standard. Afternoon tea was always popular with our group. A number of water sports were included & the 2 free boat trips were great. The beach & sea were gorgeous & staff very friendly. Wednesday night was cocktail party followed by the evening floor show which was particularly fun. We even ventured to the karaoke & street party nearby on Sunday night. Worth doing for the experience. There were one or two minor issues that prevented us giving 5 stars. The hotel had a habit of running out of things, certain spirits, ice cream etc. The rooms whilst immaculately clean do need a little decorating & the rooms facing the bar area aren’t very private. The entertainment was sometimes first class but other times quite disappointing. Nonetheless this is an good hotel in which we all enjoyed our stay.

We asked for the same room as last year, and when we arrived the staff were so pleased to give us our room, they really enjoyed our pleasure. This was our second time in Mango Bay and it was lovely, even better than last year, most of the staff had not changed really friendly and seem very happy. We went to the races with the owner Peter and his wife Carol, it was amazing. The best value for money, it may look expensive but start adding up the wonderful food, drinks cocktails and water sports etc. and it is real value and luxury. I would return to Mango Bay in a heart beat.

Mango Bay: you won’t be disappointed! The Staff are amazing except for Pedro he’s perfect! they will make every effort to make sure you have a good holiday! Food, Beaches are perfect. I recommend this place on Planet Earth

Hotel Mango Bay is a very pretty and scenic all inclusive hotel at the calm and picturesque west coast of Barbados. We experienced the staff (except for just one waitress) as very friendly, hearty and outgoing. Everyone wants you to enjoy your vacation and feel welcome. There is also a lot of employees, so you do not have to wait a long time to get information or served. The public areas of the hotel are very clean and comfortable and so are the guest rooms. Housekeeping is doing the room daily and comes a second time to bring new beach towels every evening. The restaurant is very good! Breakfast is served in buffet form, lunch as à-la-carte, afternoon tea features sandwiches and dinner is either served à-la-carte or at some days buffet form. We will definitely come back to Barbados and stay at Mango Bay again!

Great All Inclusive Hotel Staying and Mango Bay was an incredible experience. So incredible in fact that it took about 3 days to remember there was a whole country right outside the front gates. The hotel is situated about 30 mins away from Bridgetown airport in a mostly developed area called Holetown. It has direct access to the beach and awesome selection of included water sport activities; sail and snorkel tours and water skiing are just a few. That staff was absolutely fantastic. They catered to every need I had. The drinks flowed freely in my hands and food was produced even outside of meal times. Every night had entertainment which started around 9pm and finish around 11pm so it wasn’t interfering with a good sleep after an exhausting day of drinking and laying around. The rooms were nice... A bit dated but very clean and consistently maintained and refreshed. Overall I was one of the most relaxing vacations I’ve ever been on. Thanks Mango Bay!

The Mango Bay is absolutely fantastic.we were treated like royalty and loved the laid back pace. The hotel was right on the beautiful beach. The staff are amazing and full of happiness. The rooms are kept spotless. The food was something else and what a sunset. Love Barbados so much and it's people are the best in the world. Can't wait to return.

This was our first visit to Barbados so I read several reviews before booking. It is hard to fault this all inclusive hotel. It has an excellent location right on a pleasant sandy beach although this does go into the sea quite steeply. There were plenty of sunbeds on the beach but less around the pool. There is a “no towels on sunbed policy” apart from lunch time when you may save your bed for an hour. Unfortunately this policy is ignored so frequently it can be difficult to find a sunbed. The food is varied and mostly of a high standard, particularly the a la carte menu when a no shorts dress code is used. Some days are buffet evenings and the dress code is waved. All staff are very pleasant and you rarely have to wait for bar or table service. Rooms are a reasonable size and house keeping is good with regular sheet and towel changes. The air conditioning is good and there is plenty of hot water for showers. Balconies are a good size but unfortunately a lot of rooms have no real view or suffer from noise most evenings from the close by Ragamuffins and One Love bars. To avoid this you will need to book a superior or deluxe room at extra cost. There is good entertainment every night in the form of a two or three piece group using backing tapes and guitars. Another bonus is the included boat trips but book early as these are quickly booked up. We found private taxi hire to visit places like Hunte’s garden or Harrison’s cave is better than using the tours and these two trips can be combined and done in about 3 hours. The hotel will arrange for a taxi, typically $40US / hour for a four to six seater, try and go with another couple to reduce costs. I would have given 5 stars if the standard rooms had been less noisy and a little smarter decor. Still a very good value all inclusive.

So what makes Mango Bay stand out from the crowd? Now that’s a vexing question one that if asked of say fifty guests would likely generate around fifty different, plausible responses. If you were to analyse the elements that make up the perfect holiday you may feel that somewhere else had a better this or a better that. However overall all those components relating to Mango Bay would rate very highly, very highly indeed ensuring the hotel is a top destination. Where then is the proof to back up such a statement? Undoubtedly the number of returnees with some visitors having experienced the delights on offer on many, many occasions even astonishingly more than twenty times! High praise indeed. Previous reviews have focused on the staff and the friendly, attentive manner in which they provide the service. It is this which seems to encourage guests to react accordingly in creating a family atmosphere which persisted throughout a two weeks stay. Who could complain about that? It would be unfair to pick out individuals for particular praise as they all stepped up to the mark. However stretching the ten commandments is par for the job so a word to the wise to the irrepressible Pedro and the lovely Tanya. Should you decide to ‘get it on like Marvin Gaye’ the ‘Vicar’ and ‘Mrs.Vicar’ would be only too pleased to return to the ‘Garden of Eden’ and assist with the proceedings, our flock at ‘Dobley’ happy to see us depart again for sunny Barbados. We’ll be watching with interest!

Came back for our second time to Barbados and staying at mango bay. I can not fault this place at all. The rooms are amazing the food is amazing Barbados is amazing but the thing that really makes this place like no other is the staff. They’re amazing and you really do create friendships with these people. They’re a family

Booked under the premise that this was 4 * But we were sadly mislead and mis informed . We had an ocean front room at extra expense which was average and smelt very damp with a noisy old air con . Rooms ok but tired decor . First trip to the cocktail bar , no idea how to make a Martini ... and only one bottle of Rum ! No special rums that Barbados is famous for. Food ok but repetitive , the wine list never gets offered to purchase a decent bottle and when it did come it was very poorly stocked with stuff you would buy from Aldi for a fiver. Ok they were just niggly little things that weren’t right but it escalated from there , we had two nights of banging loud music from the “ entertainment” which is cleverly located under the ocean front rooms ! I had a film on my I pad with headphones and I couldn’t here a word of it, never have I had noise like that since Reading Festival 1984 , but that was good !! Earplugs fished out from the flight and head under the covers ... Service for food is very hit and miss , breakfast is poor and a second cup of coffee is like the Holy Grail .. The beach is beautiful and great for swimming if you can dodge the persistent jet skis touting for business and the noise ruins the idyl of the place. Then we have the vendors ,,, now I’ve been to many Caribbean Islands and this is my 4 th trip to Barbados but I’ve never had aggressive vendors shouting at me for not spending money with him , I complained to the manageress who said she’d speak to security , erm what security ?? The vendors pester everyone all day without being moved on .. With the promise of another sleepless night , one cup of coffee in the morning , a stinky room , sheets not changed and the aggressive jet ski vendor waiting under the tree to start hounding us again we cut the stay here short by 8 days and left. So we have moved to another beautiful hotel further up the coast which deserves its stars .Done at our own expense and we are enjoying the rest of our holiday in peace and have great service a lovely clean room , wine , cocktails and food , plus we can sleep peacefully. Mango bay is a 2/3 star cheap hotel with poor management which reflects in the staff , my advice is to avoid it. It is mis represented completely .
