Really great location. Directly on the beach. The pool was small but with how perfect he Beach was it didn't matter. They do provide beds to take out to the beach. •Fully stocked kitchen, no oven tho. •every room has a view of the ocean. •ground floor rooms offer less privacy on the patios but convenience access to the main deck so it's a trade off. We were in room 102 which is on the ground floor. 101 and 102 directly by the check in and lobby so the vents in the showers make for a bit of extra noise in the room from people talking 10 feet away at the front desk. It may also offer you less privacy for conversations in the bathroom or shower. If you are honeymooning you may not want to have a room by the lobby..... just saying! ;) Also -- tip: there is a grocery store on the main road outside of the hotel across from the esso... don't go to that one! It's small with little selection and high prices, a 2 min walk up the road behind the esso there is a much better grocery store. Also, there is a full duty free store next door to esso we didn't discover until late in the trip. Overall I would totally recommend this hotel. It's a quiet location with an older population so it's not a party place. Great place for a quiet week in paradise.
We had 3 rooms over Christmas with our 4 children aged 11, 20, 23 and 25. This boutique hotel is quaint, well kept with an exceptional level of service. From the front desk booking reservations at local restaurants, arranging travel (we had the same driver all week) to fresh, hot pots of morning coffee from the little restaurant every morning at 7am which we enjoyed on our balcony with the incredible view. To the friendliness and efficiency of the cleaning service, including doing all our dishes from any meals prepared in our kitchenettes. Large, spacious rooms, well appointed kitchenettes, with the convenience of grocery stores and restaurants within walking distance. A little late but thank you for all the hospitality and a wonderful, relaxing and stress free Christmas!! We will definitely return!
I have just returned from Barbados after having 11 fabulous days staying at Coral Sands Beach Resort, it was exceptionally comfortable and very clean with lovely spacious rooms. All rooms over looked the beautiful blue sea/ beach The staff were lovely and very friendly, it was much more than I expected and I shall definitely be a returning customer. Don't forget to book a coach trip around the island it's a must , we booked with Williams Tours and our tour guide was The Rooster man he was brilliant and very entertaining. The catamaran trip was also great, you swim with Turtles and see the shipwrecks it was fab - Happy Holidays 😎
We booked this Hotel for a three night stay prior to joining a Seabourn Cruise. The reviews were very accurate. We were on the ground floor. We arrived in the dark, so when we opened the curtains the first morning and saw the lovely blue Caribbean Sea, it was just beautiful. The rooms, as mentioned many times are huge. There is a fully functioning kitchen, large bedroom area with a table and chairs and lot of extra storage.. A wardrobe and bathroom area with a great shower, toilet and double vanity sinks. No shortage of hot water at any time. Just one thought though - it would be nice to have a "night-light plug" in the bathroom area, to find your way should you need the bathroom in the night! The room was bright, colourful and airy and the A/C is efficient without being noisy. The area is very quiet, no road noise. The verandah had nice furniture and breakfast out here was lovely The pool area is lovely. Spotlessly clean and well kept. Plenty of beds and also beds available for the beach which is a great bonus, The bar opens about midday and the bar staff are lovely. The one thing we, and others we spoke to appreciated, was the peace and quiet. No intrusion of loud music. Music is a very personal thing and I just hate having other peoples choice forced upon me. With i-pods etc, there is no reason why music needs to be played where people are relaxing and reading - Well done Coral Sands for giving a peaceful ambience. We had booked Harlequin in St Lawrence Gap - nothing special, wouldn`t bother again. We also booked Champers, which was just wonderful. Lovely location, great food and excellent service. Quite pricey, but worth every penny. Book in advance if you want to eat there. I am not sure when the person who reviewed the Hotel as being "tired and in need of an update" went, or even if they had the right Hotel, but I can assure you it was just immaculate when we went in February. We have stayed in many "Leading Hotels of the World" and we could not fault Coral Sands. We will be booking in next year when we sail from Barbados again. This time for a stay before our cruise and again after it. Please don`t change a thing in between!
What can I say - we are arriving on Sunday and just found out the ticket company for the cricket have gone into liquidation!! tickets4pk - only reason going to Barbados is my partners life long ambition to watch in the Caribbean .... Rosemarie went out of her way to find tickets for us on the 9/03 had responded in less than 30 minutes if thats not service then i don't know what is .. so looking forward to meeting them on Sunday oh and it says its raining but Zed who we are going fishing with says no its not...
As always a wonderful experience. Cannot beat the location, accommodation and excellent staff and service. This is our destination every time and will not go anywhere else. Nikki and Danielle are wonderful, The beach is pristine. Recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet stay in a perfect location. Not for the younger crowd as it is absolutely quiet at night with nothing going on but that is one of this gem's charms. If I could recommend one thing it would be to have some quiet music around the pool area during the day. That is the only thing that could make this more perfect.
The location is fabulous- right on the beachfront, beautiful white sandy beach, turquoise sea and turtles! The rooms are spacious and all have sea views with large balconies. It is fairly small, I think about 30 rooms, so you feel like you're getting personal attention. The staff were all helpful, friendly and cheerful. On the down side, the wi-if was hit and miss in some areas. The restaurant and bar closed at 7 pm which I felt was too early. The bar staff also have to cover food orders in the kitchen so the bar is unattended for long periods. Lounger service would be nice. The bath towels were a little small. However the real way to judge any hotel is, would I go back? It's an easy question, the answer is an unequivocal, yes.
If you want the independence of a self-catering facility, the comfort of hotel services, and glorious, glorious beachfront, come to Coral Sands. The Coral Sands Beach Resort is a family business lovingly and attentively run by Rosemarie Stoute, with the help of excellent reception, housekeeping, and room service staff. Located in the heart of the south coast, Coral Sands is in Worthing, a short and pleasant morning or evening walk from Accra Beach and the Rockley area, with all of its restaurants, beach bars, cafés, and shops. It is also less than a 2-minute walk (30-second drive) from Rendezvous Hill, where you will find a large, international-style supermarket (used to be Big B, now it's called Massey), well-stocked with food, drinks, supplies, and sundries both international and local. There is also a full-service pharmacy inside the supermarket. A smaller, convenience store-style supermarket is right at the corner of the south coast road and Rendezvous Hill. Aside from ordering room service in the mornings, we did not use the hotel's dining facilities, so I can only assess the breakfast fare, which was always tasty. The rooms are large, super-clean, bright, and airy, decorated in the lovely tones of the Caribbean: green, yellow, blue, orange, and white. Each room has a balcony, which is great for enjoying the gorgeous views of the Caribbean sea. There is also a pleasant pool deck and swimming pool for those who prefer to swim in a pool. The hotel is a beautiful white coral stone and pickled pinewood structure tucked away off the main road. It is a fantastic location for work or play, and a wonderful spot to have a rum punch and watch the sun set. After the sun sets, take a walk to Quayside Centre, or a little further down for wonderful local and international restaurants and food shops, serving up delicious Bajan fishcakes and flying fish (De Rock Beach Bar at Accra), brick oven-style pizza with authentic Italian or tropical toppings (Mamma Mia), or "slow" Bajan food at the island's most beloved "fast" food chain, Chefette (roti, peas and rice, grilled or curried chicken, macaroni pie, salads). Coral Sands is a south coast gem. We look forward to returning!
Stayed here 4 days. The best things about the hotel-clean,beachfront, nice size rooms. The bad- restaurant food, limited drink selection. Outdated furnishings. The hotel could definitely use a face lift. The pool is small. I did not like the locale over all. It was a bit seedy. You can walk 15 minutes to the GAP for nice restaurants and bars. Don't waste your money for food and drinks at the so called resort. It was very overpriced and food is unappealing. No activies here at all. Even on the beach. We took a cab for 20 US dollars to Brown beach. Lots of fun jet ski, horses, banana boat, All you would expect for a day on the Beach. Also, went to Pirates Cover for lunch here. It was great. You can find other hotels with better hospitality, food, fun and location. The women working at the bar were both Awesome, friendly, kind and fun.
An excellent hotel that we came upon by accident! Made a mistake booking ( the word "coral" confused me!), but what a great mistake! The staff are beyond helpful (we are still here!) and the location and facilities put it, in my view, into the 4 star category. The pool, whilst small, is clean and quiet, with plenty of loungers and never over crowded. The bar area is right by the pool and under a large straw roof. You can eat supper there too. The location is right near the local supermarkets and local shops, including a lovely duty free boutique, as well as being a minute away from the gorgeous Graham Hall Nature Reserve for morning coffee or afternoon tea in an idyllic peaceful and beautiful parkland (saw a monkey wondering around there today!), with a lake full of enormous fish, ducks and the sky alive with birds. Champers, one of the best restaurants on the island is just 7 minutes stroll away (book first) and with a hire car you can access everywhere easily on the island for the usual haunts. The hotel is along a reef, and its beach is divine, with the white Barbados sand and great swimming. But watch the current; it is very strong here. Also the restaurant closes at 7pm, which is a shame as the food is delicious and well cooked. We have begun to cook in the lovely and fully-equipped kitchen, as the prices in the restaurants are high. But take-away food is cheap and just fine occasionally. Also, right now they are building a new apartment complex immediately next door (finishing in 2018); so, it can be noisy in the rooms alongside the building works. We asked to move on the first day and they moved us to a room at the other end of the hotel immediately and with charm and a smile. We will be back here again. It is superb.
