What a lovely hotel. All the rooms are sea view and by sea view I mine right outside your door. The rooms have excellent amenities; gas hogs and cooker. Big fridge and freezer. All the utensils you need and aircon. The room has a free safe and maid comes everyday. The hotel provides free beach towels. There's some parking availability within the grounds if you have a hire car. There's also free beach loungers for hotel guests, but they're limited and you need to get up early to get one. It's about a 20 minute flat walk to Lawrence gap. Taxis to and from the gap are about 20 banana dollars. There are two banks within walking distance where you can change pounds into bajan dollars but you need to get there as soon as they open. Staff at this hotel are lovely and friendly, as were all the guests. We will definitely come back here. Oh and there's a large supermarket just up the road from the petrol station that stocks everything you need.
Arrived at the hotel after a long flight from the uk. Was giving room 203 . Opened the door and it smelled musky and there was black patches on the wall and the ceiling like damp.went to the reception to tell them of this. After us having to stand our ground with the female at the reception we were given another room for short term. Witch was match better. After 2 days we where asked to move back into our original room that had been all painted and looking really nice. So the hotel to me did there very best for us. We had a wonderful holiday in a good time in Barbados .ended up being a really good hotel after the start we had just a sham about some of the reception staff.
My first time at this restaurant. Gregory and his staff did an amazing job. Service was great, staff was pleasant, professional and wonderful. Food was on point. Entertainment is a must with Mr. Impact. Must see and visit when you come to Barbados!!!
Booked this hotel through Virgin Holidays and so glad we did. We didn’t want all inclusive as we prefer eating at various restaurants. This is a great hotel in a fantastic location right on the beach. We were lucky enough to be given room A309 on the top floor. This room has two balconies and the views are fabulous. Large bedroom and living room, good size bathroom and de ent kitchen. Decent bar on the ground floor that also does good food. All the staff were friendly, helpful (thanks Reggie) and nothing was too much trouble. If we ever return to the island we would return here to stay.
The hotel is situated on the beach. One side is the beach and the other side is the road - can be quite busy and noisy. I would wear ear plugs at night so I did not hear too much of the traffic. The access to the beach is great and could find a sun lounger for most of the time. The hotel has a fitness center and a pool. The hotel is located on a road where there are taxis at most time of the day and night. Walking distance to good restaurants. Staff at the hotel are quite pleasant - English is the fist language of Barbadians and they made us feel at home.
I really enjoyed this hotel! Perfect location in close proximity to everything we needed to do. Walking distance to a supermarket and ATM machines. The room we had was oceanfront and was 50 feet from the water, absolutely gorgeous! Just make sure when you book a room that you get the ones that are closer to the middle of the building. The room I originally had was near the end and close to being blocked by another building. Staff was extremely accommodating and allowed me to change rooms. Highly recommend this hotel!
Our favourite part of this hotel was the beautiful balcony which looked out not the glorious beach and turquoise sea, with the sound of the waves crashing. The location was great, walk out of the hotel along the road to the left where there are lots of bars and restaurants, and to the right is a ten minute walk into St lawrence's gap. There are 2 good supermarkets within a 5 minute walk. The rooms are rather basic and bathrooms could do with being re-done, but everything is very clean and rooms are spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. We borrowed snorkels from the hotel and could swim with the sea turtles right outside the hotel which was amazing, and they also arranged our car rental for us. All the staff were very friendly. Barbados is a lovely, safe place, and I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting.
If you’re expecting a 5* luxurious hotel with attention to detail then this is definitely not the place for you. If however you are needing a chilled out break away from the stress of life and just want a haven in which to relax without any noise then this ticks all the boxes. With self catering rooms in a three storey block overlooking the sea, you have everything you need. The rooms accommodate well for those that want a self catering holiday. All the usual amenities in a kitchen - kettle, toaster, cooker and all the relevant crockery and cutlery. Admittedly the rooms are a little tired looking but this didn’t put us off, when you have views of the Carribean sea from your balcony it isn’t an important issue. I would say this hotel is very good value for money for all that it offers. All the rooms have a sea/beach view. The rooms are serviced every day with clean towels etc. The hotel provide beach towels and will replace them whenever you wish. The hotel is approx a 20 minute walk from St Lawrence Gap where there are loads of restaurants to choose from. If you don’t fancy the walk there are many taxis zipping up and down the road tooting for business. There is also a good sized supermarket a 5 min walk from the hotel for everything you could need. We got all our lunch and breakfast things from there and would go out for dinner in the evenings. We really enjoyed our time at Coral Mist and will be returning next April.
We are a couple in our mid 20s who stayed for one week. We stayed in a studio room. Overall the facilities in the room were good; the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, the room was cleaned every day with the option of fresh towels daily, and the view from our first floor balcony was great. The beach is south facing so not great if you are not a competent swimmer but we found it absolutely fine. There was no problems with sewage where the hotel is located. We ate a snack in the restaurant on one occasion and it was poor; would recommend only for drinks. On a few occasions we have found members of staff to be inpolite; the staff member looking after the beach demanded to know our hotel room number when we were on the beach after 5pm, thinking we weren't actually staying at the hotel. The reception staff were always helpful and friendly. Overall fine but not amazing.
I stayed for three (3) nights. The service is really good. At first, I was not so sure about the service. I was amazed by the room standards (it was clean). Stayed on the top floor with amazing views. The staff were polite and helpful. The beach is right there and if you want a pool...they have that also. Breakfast is only buffet on Sundays. They flying fish is really nice. The WiFi signal is strongest at the beach side. They should upgrade their elevator and perhaps expand their kitchen area. Overall, it was really good. Its very close to Champers also. On another note, avoid walking by the gap between Accra beach and the Tiki Bar (open beach area with some trees) late in the night, especially after 9pm. There are some shady looking characters who hangout there.
