Great place. Third time I have stayed here. Clean rooms, nice grounds and beautiful beach. Best part is the food. It's amazing. Staff actually remembered us and a few of them came up to say hi and welcome back.Concierge helped us book tours etc.

Service was terrible until I complained only then did they bring towels and soap. Got in on Sunday evening and my wife and I had been given two towels and two bars of soap till Tuesday. All inclusive does not always mean all inclusive. We had to purchase water and an 8 oz ribeye was $24. I am not an alcohol drinker so I really didn't benefit from the bar. Would I return there? Barbados, yes. Barbados Beach Club? I don't think so.

Upon arrival, we were a bit disappointed in the rough appearance of the hotel. It does need updating, but as we spent time enjoying the beautiful views, warm weather and the friendliness, we realized that all the important things were handled well. Check-in was smooth, the staff worked constantly to keep everything clean...the rooms, beach, pool area, bar and dining areas. By the time we left, we felt well cared for. The food was adaquate. The drinks were better than some all inclusives. A very pleasant experience, over all!

We were in Barbados for a friend's wedding but couldn't afford the resort they were staying in so opted for Barbados Beach Club which was just along the beach. It's fairly basic but given the price we paid, was an absolute bargain for an all inclusive 6 night stay. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and although there wasn't a huge choice for meals, the food was decent. We had no complaints.

I have learned that all-inclusive merely means all meals are paid for, and is nothing more comprehensive than that. so I was disappointed as I expected more of a resort, with a wider range of activities and amenities. The pool is not large, and the only 'watersport' available is kayaking - 4 kayaks. The beach is narrow and there is no beach volleyball. As far as meals ago, they were acceptable, but quickly became tiresome - the quality was ok, not great, and I was starving for fresh fruit. And if you came down after 10 am, forget about any food until 12.30 lunch. On the positive side, the staff was very polite and helpful. Finally, the beach is small, but you can walk down to a longer, wider beach in front of nicer hotels. In sum, this is an acceptable hotel for families or couples on a budget, but singles should avoid this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location was beautiful

None of the negative comments in other reviews were founded, in my opinion. Food was varried for lunch and dinner. Breakfast and High Tea were just that, nothting special. We did ask and usually recieve special requests to be prepared even if it was not on the menu. My trip was in the off-season and very relaxing, Entertainment was good and stopped at 11p.m. for those with an ocean view room that could not get to sleep because of the music, you knew when it would stop. Remember this is a vacation and resorts do offer such entertainment. All concerns were addressed imediately. Outstanding service yet not obtrusive. Another thing to remember when going to a distant location is that not all things will be as it is in you home. Respect cultural differences when considering your experiences.

The Barbados Beach Club was a very nice resort to stay at. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. They were always very friendly and eager to help. The beach was very clean and the water was beautiful!

We chose Barbados Beach Club because we wanted the all-inclusive option at an affordable price. Although it was affordable, we were disappointed in the resort and the food. We realized for a couple hundred dollars more we could've stayed at a much nicer all-inclusive, such as Almond. Barbados Beach Club is old and run down. They were doing work on the buildings and grounds while we were there, but it has a way to go. At one point we felt like the only guests staying there as it seemed so deserted at the pool and at dinner. The room was large and comfortable, with nice view, but had old, dark outdated furniture. The beach was very small, but quiet and relaxing with nice clean, turquoise water. There were no beach activities such as kayaking and snorkeling like they advertised on the description. You also had to drag your own beach chair to your desired location on the beach. The food was very average. They only had one restaurant open, the buffett, but they advertised another sit down restaurant that you make reservations for 3 times during the week. This one seemed to be under renovation, which they did not mention. Some evenings we enjoyed the selection, especially when they served local Carribbean dishes. Other nights we did not enjoy the food, Oriental and Italian dishes. It was not a large buffet or selection like we've had at other all-inclusive resorts. They did'nt even have coffee at breakfast. We spent quite a bit of extra money dining out, especially lunch, because we did not want the buffet. Evening entertainment was lame. Every night but one it was a local DJ who played bad 70's music catering to the older guests. Overall, the beach was nice and there's lots to do in the area. We walked most days down to St. Lawrence Gap and other beaches where there was more going on.

I had a good experience at this resort. Everyone was friendly especially [...] (receptionist) and [...]. I recommend taking an coastal island tour which is about 6 hours when visiting.

It is a beautifully placed hotel with both a private beach and rock wall to let you hear the sound of the crashing waves. The staff is all very nice and the rooms have a great view of the water. Every person I met who was staying at the hotel was very pleasant and fun. You never have a problem getting a chair by the pool or on the beach and the water activities guys are great. The bar is a lot of fun and nightly entertainment is right on. My only complaint would be the food. They have a nicer restaurant that you can only eat at 3 times a week (make sure you bring nice clothes or they won't let you in) and other then that you will only have buffet food that you will tire of eventually. I highly suggest this resort for anybody who wants to have a nice quiet trip with your loved one or family.

It looks 10 times better on the internet pictures. Everything is old, staff is very slow to direct you when you ask questions. Drinks at the bar are and look cheap. Hotel room got broken into and money was taken from luggage. Management did nothing because they claim there are no cameras on premises or a way to check if a masterkey was used. Very dissapointed. Will never come back again. Please pay a little more for a better hotel, especially if you are taking a family vacation.

Staff was wonderful and very friendly

We had a room with back patio access directly to the pool and it was great to walk out directly to the beach as well. Room service ends at 9pm and the nearby mini market closes at 6pm so make sure you have snacks and drinks in your room. A definite must do tour is the catamaran swimming with turtles with Cool Runnings. They are the best! Also, Glory Tours offers good packages which is well worth the price versus catching cabs to all the places you want to see.

This resort was beautiful and quiet. The pools and grounds were fantastic and well maintained. The beach was very beautiful with soft sand and without rocks. Waves came in pretty rough at times , but were nice other wise. The only problem I had with the resort was at check-in. We had late arrival and had E-mailed that we would be late and save our reservation two days before we arrived and received a reply. We did not get in until midnight and were told we did not have a reservation. They ended up putting us in lesser accomodatioms that were in someone else's with the last name. We had reserved the room and plane tickets two months before and paid for them. This was not acceptable and I informed them. The next day I went down to front desk and talked to the manager on duty. They said they would check into it. This went on all day. Finally I went down again and was informed that I would have to stay in the room. I informed them that because I was late that they had given my reservation to someone else and would take it up with upper management. Ten minutes after getting back to my room, they called and moved us to the right accomodations. I was very pleased with the rest of the trip.[...]We went swimming with the turtles, snorkeling on a reef, and took a tour around the entire island.

Me and my wife went to Barbados on our honeymoon. Stayed at the Bouganvillia Resort. It was very peaceful, and relaxing. Exceeded our expectations by a landslide. The beach access was right at the hotel, the staff were super friendly and accomodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, the pools were very well kept, and everything was clean and beautiful. However we stayed for about 10 days, and 10 days on the mattress was way too long. The matteress felt like a slab of concrete. That was our only complaint about this hotel. The only other complaint we could have is that the restaraunts were very expensive, but there is grocery shopping real close by, and I would plan on going there and maybe save the restaraunts for about once or twice during the duration of the stay. I would absolutely come back to this island and wouldn't stay anywhere else but the Bouganvillia.

This is the first time we've stayed at this property, but the fourth trip to Barbados. We loved the hotel and had as greast stay, we will definately stay there again if we stay on the south end of the island. It was beyond our expectations!

The resort was great. We were looking for a beach with good waves to play in/boogie board and were very pleased. The hotel was very accommodating when we decided to add 2 more adults to our suite just weeks before the trip. The grocery service they offer is over priced and not necessary - there are 2 small stores within walking distance. Getting to the Gap for dinner was an easy 20 min walk or a $10 cab ride. The room was very spacious and clean.

It was our first time in Barbados and we went for a winter break from the cold weather and work. Our days were spent relaxing on the beautiful beach, taking walks and some sightseeing. Upon arrival the folks at the front desk greeted us warmly and made us feel like family as soon as we got there. Our room was a spacious suite and was the most comfortable and immaculate we've ever had after multiple trips to different Carribean islands. I cannot say enough about the front desk staff. They were friendly, helpful and simply couldnt do enough to see that we were happy with everything. The beach was lovely, with the one exception that the week we were there, the sea was a bit rougher than we had expected and we did not always feel comfortable going in. Chairs and umbrellas were readily available. The beautiful sunsets were a nighly event. We ate at the hotel on several occasions mainly because we were lazy and happy to be chilling out and not worrying about transportation and reservations. The food was basic and mediocre and expensive (but everything is expensive on Barbados). We chose not to rent a car but managed to get around to see a few things. We most definitely recommend Oistins on Friday night for fish, drinks and party. The hotel provided cheap round trip shuttle service. It was a blast. Another day took a free hotel shuttle into Bridgetown for a little sightseeing and shopping. Another day went to the Mt Gay Rum distillery which was a fun experience. Wonderful dinner in the St. Lawrence Gap at Pisces- amazing setting and spectacular food. All in all, it was a wonderful resort, a beautiful island, warm and friendly people and a perfect vacation.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We spent our honeymoon in Barbados and had a great time. We spent some time on the beach and swimming in the ocean, which is a great location, but they also have great pools. The highlight of our trip was a catamaran cruise. We chose Calabaza Sailing Cruises as they only take 12 or less people at a time. On our particular cruise there was only 4 people, and we felt like we were on a private yacht! I also recommend Adventureland 4x4 tours and request Gline as your tour guide as he's amazing. Overall, our trip was amazing as was Bougainvillea Beach Resort! [...] and [...] at Buoni Amici are amazingly friendly and great people. Also the bell boy, [...] was super friendly and very informative. I highly recommend Bougainvillea :)
