We stayed here based on a friend's recommendation. It was our first trip to Maine and we had a delightful experience. The Inn is beautiful, quiet but within walking distance of a number of restaurants and shops. Milan was a superb host. We enjoyed the honor bar, private deck off Room 9 and most importantly the amazing breakfasts. We are still talking about the blueberry pancakes. It was an easy drive to Acadia, but such a lovely treat to come back to the quiet side of the island at the end of the day.

We stayed two nights at Lindenwood Inn. It is a beautiful and quiet inn. Most of all, it is clean and inviting. We stayed in 3 different B&Bs on this trip and this one was by far the cleanest. The fireplace in the living room and dining room were going most of the time. Malin (not sure about spelling) and Jelena were wonderful hosts. We enjoyed the breakfast each day. Next time we will reserve one of the larger rooms! Have a great "off season". We look forward to our next stay!

Two couples visited in late Sept. the place is great location ...10-15 minute quiet walk to town and restaurants . Accommodations are great especially room 9 with outdoor rooftop balcony. Breakfast is wonderful . Milan did everything to make our stay great. Only complaint is the tv which I’m both rooms was small and could not keep consistent volume. That’s a nit to pick . Everything else was great

The breakfasts were beyond delicious and unique. The blueberry pancakes and the crepes were to die for. Jim was able to easily accommodate our stay when we requested to switch rooms. Can’t say enough good things about the staff here.

Very nice experience at the Lindenwood Inn. The pool and hot tub were enjoyable features, especially after a day of hiking. The room was comfortable yet simple. The breakfasts were tasty though basic. The location was terrific - away from the crowds and near the harbor, yet also not a long drive from the main attractions in Acadia. The staff were gracious and attentive.

Wonderful stay, very friendly staff. Highly recommend. Good location, not too far away from Acadia National Park. Hot tub and pool were very relaxing after a long day hiking. Great environment and extremely relaxing.

We stayed for three nights and had a good room with a small balcony. The room was fine and the communal area was comfortable. There is an honor bar and coffee and tea available at all times. The inn is located in a quiet residential area backing onto the harbor with an easy walk back to town. The breakfasts were average and this is one of the reasons it didn't quite make a 5 star. The service however was excellent and there is a clear wish to try and make guests welcome and comfortable. The inn itself is a little tired in places and would benefit from some renovation but overall it was a very pleasant stay and I would still recommend it and Southwest Harbor if you prefer the quieter side of Acadia

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this bed & breakfast. To begin, all of the staff members are absolute gems. They are so accommodating and so incredibly friendly. In particular, Milan and Nina could not have been sweeter. They gave great advice as to where to eat and fun activities to do throughout our stay and they were just a joy to hang around. My husband and I never advertised the fact that it was our anniversary, however, we kind of let it slip in conversation. 30 minutes later, Milan came up to our room with a bottle of champagne. We were just completely blown away by the customer service. We stayed in Room 6, which is a beautiful suite with distant views of the ocean. The room also had a private bathroom and a small entertainment area with a loveseat sofa and television. Everything was clean and maintained very well. Breakfast always tasted wonderful. Every morning, they provided a raspberry bread, zucchini bread, fruit salad, and yogurt w/ berries. To follow, we had the following dishes: frittata w/ curried rice, blueberry pancakes w/ bacon, and finally we had polenta and eggs on our last day. We overheard some guests who had dietary restrictions and Milan and Nina were always more than happy to adjust the food for them. It seemed as if they had many returning guests, which says wonderful things about the b&b. They can count us in for a future trip too!

We loved our 3 night stay. Pool bungalow was great with a small kitchenette area and deck with table and chairs. We also had room #4 which was very comfortable. Jim the owner was lovely and very on hands so we talked to him several times. We had a small hicup with the jacuzzi not working but they graciously let us have several drinks at the bar for free. Milan, Nina and Desemir provided us with amazing daily service of breakfast, clean rooms and wonderful recommendations. Beals is a lobster place just 3 blocks from the house and was deeee-licious. Billy is an awesome cook and we made sure to get up in time for the wonderful and varied breakfasts he made every day. The cozy living room fireplace in the main shared area was a treat to talk to other guests and enjoy a glass of wine as was the wrap around porch.

We booked into Lindenwood Inn on relatively short notice and we may have gotten the last available room - Room 14 in the "Rosewood House" next door to the main house. We've stayed at lot of B&Bs over the years. In comparison to most, this room was disappointing. There is a reason that there is no picture of the bathroom on the B&B's website for this room; tiny, with virtually no shelving or towel bars for one's things. Complimentary shampoo but no conditioner. Breakfast was decent -- not excellent but OK. So-so fresh fruit selection; some home baked quick breads, and a hot, cooked-to-order main. Location is good. Staff is perfectly cordial but, again, not the warmth that I've come to expect at a first-rate B&B.
