Howard Johnson Inn - Bangor

Only positive was proximity to the airport. Hallway & the room smelled like a cigarette that someone tried to cover up with a cheap can (or 2) of cinnamon apple spray. It was kind of sickening. I could hear people and the TV's in the adjoining rooms. Ended up watching my Netflix because TV channel options were very limited.

That night Manager got our insulin over the airport that we had forgot in our room we would have had a bad time getting it in Colorado Thanks to him

Nice hotel near airport. Standard amenities and good location that is off the highway enough to not be noisy but offers easy access. Pleasant staff and easy check in and out. Too bad restaurant closed.

Our room was a pleasant surprise. Very clean and spacious. The only bad thing was the restaurant. Horrible food.

Our room was perfect! Very clean, cozy and comfy! Great friendly staff....comfy bed with extra pillows. Restaurant and lounge right there. All was great...and all for a very cheap price.

Loved that I could find a nice, clean, quiet place to stay for a weekend away on a fairly tight budget. Only down fall to us was we did find the beds firm in comparison to our own and we could have used another blanket considering we like to sleep with the window open. But when we asked for one they were out.

It was very clean, staff VERY friendly, great location and we always stay here cause it's consistently good:)

I was pleasantly surprised at what I got for my money. The room was very clean, maybe recently remodeled with a fairly new TV. This motel is definitely worth a stay. I would stay there again.

What more can I say? From check in, to cleaning services, to check out, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and even being late sleepers we got maid service every day without having to request them to come back. The pool was clean and the area around it was well maintained. The room was much more than we were expecting. Our king sized bed was large and very comfortable. There was a large mini fridge, microwave, safe and plenty of tables and chairs. The flat screen T.V. was very nice and they offered a lot of channels. The bathroom was great, plenty of soap, the towels were clean and soft. Howard Johnson’s will be our go to hotel when we stay in Bangor.

While this hotel is as old as me, they've upgraded the facility: new reception area and door pass key with tap to open. No swiping of the card thru a slot, just pass the card near the room lock, pool door, entrance door.

First room I was assigned hadn't been cleaned or beds made, had to go back to the office to request another room. Had to go to the desk multiple times to get my card reactivated, not a huge deal, just an annoyance when I'm hauling all my stuff to the second floor then can't get in my room. Hallways reeked of smoke smell, my room was fine just didn't like the smell getting there.

Quite night. Close to stores. Nice place to stop with motorcycle. Close to I-95 exit and entrance.

Clean and comfortable hotel on the edge of Bangor.

I'm usually pleased with this hotel with a good location right off the highway, cheap price, cleanliness, and a nice stay. It's not the ritz, but I don't feel like spending top dollar. However, this past stay wasn't that great. They were undergoing renovations to the rooms but I still felt like the bathroom could have used a better cleaning. And upon entering the room, I felt like I was in a freezer! Luckily the heater was easy and fast the heat the room up, but come on, it's winter - you need to heat the place! Hopefully the heat issue was due to the construction and hotel upgrades going on. I'll for sure give the place another go because it is the first time I'm disappointed with it.

It is a nice room neary by #95 highway, a gas station, and Cafe, Subway are good.

To start the reservation that I made in plenty of time was not met by the facility. I asked for a queen bed smoking room and rcvd a small full bed and non-smoking room. The receptionist stated, she was not given that information. One chair and a table barely able to hold a single cup. The receptionist on Friday night was rude and more concerned with her broken chair than helping customers (me and others I witnessed). The sink and bath have drain problems, by the time a took a brief shower the water was almost to my knees. Overall, this experience was a flop and I would NOT recommend other travelers to stay there.

The hotel is easily accessible from interstate 95. Staff was helpful in assisting for a change of reservation done online

This hotel was horrible, mold, dirty, smelly bad never stay again.

I stayed on 3-31-12. My only problem was that the management gave me a different price quote per person for the same room and did not honor their own 45 dollar a night deal for that room. The outdoor sign said "low as $45.00". The next morning the woman working the front desk just shrubbed her shoulders and said she didnt know what to tell me. Strange!!!

The staff was very helpful and the room was very spacious and clean. We will stay here again for sure.
