I spent four nights with my wife in this hotel. They were the my worst. The staff are rude except a few of them and manager wasn't helpful. They didn't even change towel and bed cover. Furniture is old. Toilet is stinky. I never recommend this hotel.
Great hotel, in a central location to the BTS, night market and also the clubbing district. A lil far from the backpackers area but that's okay. The hotel is showing its age a little now and could do with an overhaul, though the staff are fantastic and always helpful. The most helpful being Ratsak!! He was always so enthusiastic to greet people and assist with their bags and any queries they had! You certainly walked out the door with a spring in your step after seeing the effervescent doorman!!
Had a wonderful time at the Montien hotel in Bangkok.Location is great close to Silom, shopping, bars, restaurant.Very friendly service, very nice breakfast, nice and clean rooms. All great thank you so much everybody at the Montien, next time Bangkok, next time Montien!!!!
For the price, I expected more. I have been visiting this country since 1999, so I feel I can make a reasonable judgement on what is value for money in Bangkok hotels. The staff are excellent and very helpful. But the hotel itself is quite old and doesn't appear to have been updated in quite some time, but it is clean and safe. The location of the hotel is very good, close to Patpong night market and Sala Daeng BTS. But this is also true for the modern hotels that have sprung up around The Montien in the last 5 years. I'd stay again if the price was a better reflection of the standard as it is now, rather than it's 80's heyday.
This hotel is in a fabulous location, the staff are helpful, friendly and polite, buffet breakfast was lovely, although parts of the hotel are out dated it was very comfortable and clean and served us well for the 3 nights we were there until we moved on .We would definitely return to this hotel.
Great service lovely clean rooms friendly staff patpong market is right across the street, you can walk to the underground or bts from here. The main attraction of this hotel is the doorman Ratsak he is a font of knowledge regarding markets and attractions he will summon you a cab and will tell you the maximum fare you should pay his exuberant disposition is infectious and he is truly a great asset to the montien hotel
This is one of the easy access and extremely friendly hotel. The buffet breakfast have a very wide variety of choice. All the staff are helpful and polite. The sky train is only 5 to 10 minutes away. You can go all the places easily, also the market is just a throw stone away. Recommend to everyone. You will not be disappointed.
Great Location.Big Rooms.Toilets of the seventies..lousy plumbing.decent breakfast.service needs an overhaul.the hotel has not been renovated for at least twenty years.Housekeeping is atrocious.Being a hotelier I am usually kind to other hotels but my 15 year old millennial hotelier son in the making disagrees with me.The last time we were in Bangkok two years back,we stayed at Banyan Tree and he thought it was a great hotel and I agreed. This time he has his own thoughts as below.. 1.No attention to detail. 2.Electricals outdated and guests will need to have at least four adapters. 3.Flooding in the bathroom. 4.No health faucets Overall Just Impove your hotel cause it isn't honestly the best place for teens or people from abroad, firstly the washrooms please. 👍
I am working at this hotel doing science workshops for the next two weeks. They have a beautiful bakery on the first floor. I had coffee and a small danish.... and the danish was SO buttery flavored. It was a great culinary treat early in the morning. The entire hotel is top notch. The people working there are extremely helpful and well mannered. The rooms we are teaching in are ornate and immaculate. The greeter out front dressed in full regale reminds you of a hotel at the turn of the penultimate century. I love this place and the coffee and food at their bakery stand second to none for a hotel. I am enclosing several pictures of the bakery. What a great experience it is and has been working at this hotel!!!!
Vintage style hotel provides a great service. It places at the center of bangkok nearby other important sightseeings such as MBK shopping mall, Siam discovery, Siam Paragon, Wat hua lampong, Chulalongkorn university
