Ok English. Facilities was very good. Open and helpful staff. Always smiling. Hot showers, clean bathrooms Minus: not so comfy beds and not included breakfast. a bit hard to find if you take the skyline.
We stayed here for three nights when we first got to Bangkok. It was a nice place, clean and a pretty good vibe for casual drinks with happy hour etc. Changs go down a bloody treat mate! The area it is in is off the main road etc with nice street food about a 5 minute walk away.
Traveling with my son who wanted a hostel experience. I read good reviews online and figured we'd give it a go. THE GOOD: Location Location Location. Loved that we were in the thick of things. Bananas on the cheap. Nice places to unwind. Loved the red color scheme and industrial feel to the place. THE BAD: We aren't big drinkers or smokers and I was def in the older demographic, so we just didn't vibe with others who were staying there. THE UGLY: Hallways and bathrooms were extraordinarily hot (but on the plus side, the rooms were briskly cool!) TIP: Get a private room with a bunk for extra privacy.
I have no idea why this hostel has so many good reviews, I stayed there 8 days in total, the showers were dirty, they were never cleaned when I stayed there, the breakfast is expensive and really bad, the coffee sucks, better have breakfast elsewhere, there are plenty of good places to eat near the hostel. After staying there I realized that I had almost 30 bed bug bites in my leg. Disgusting!
Great value for money and very modern/ up to date! Also a good place to hang out and great location near silom road, would definitely recommend staying here in Bangkok! Towels were also provided and the bar/ food was a good price
The location of this hostel is good. There are places that are within walking distance; restaurants, 7/11s, ATMs, the sky train, etc. The hostel itself is nice; spacious rooms, nice bathrooms, and large lobby area to hang out with computers to use. The WiFi worked for most of our stay but I'm not going to complain about that. The only thing I wish this hostel had was privacy curtains for the beds. Maybe I was spoiled with the other hostels I've been to but it would be a nice perk since I like to keep to myself and not have others 'invade' my privacy. Otherwise, it's a great hostel. They also have another one near Capital Stadium -- I might check that out!
I would call this more a hip hotel than a hostel - we had a private room with private bathroom and the bed was comfortable, the aircon cold and the room size was perfect. Lub D has great facilities (including washing which comes in handy when you are in a city for 10 nights) and the location is great.
Great time and met awesome people. Stayed in the all-girls room, always felt secure. Clean sheets and towels. Great air-con in the room, which was always running (no down time like some other hostels). Bathrooms & showers were always clean and there was never a wait even though it was shared by multiple girls. Great happy hour specials everyday, but no vegetarian meals if you want late night snacks. Also came to wake me up for an early flight because my phone was stolen and I was unable to set an alarm. Overall an excellent stay and would definitely stay here again!
This hostel was a great one for our stay in Bangkok. It's a 5 min walk from Chong Nonsi, which is the easiest way to connect with the major sights in Bangkok. The beds are comfortable and good sleeping, the rooms are clean, and bathrooms well equipped. I had a great stay and would return if in the area again.
Dorms were excellent and staff was always extremely helpful with any issues. This hostel is pretty popular so most taxi/tuktuk drivers know exactly where to bring you. Warning if you dislike insects! I spotted a cockroach roaming freely along the stairs as well as dead insects in the sink of men's bathroom. Another issue I had was that their drinks refrigerator was never ice cold - my beers would get warm after only 15 minutes or so!
