I stayed only one night there from March 29,checked out on March 30.My check in time was lily pad. Front desk staff Nan given warm smile with friendly and very informative. Hotel location was close to many tourist attraction places such as MRT sky train station, restaurants, shopping malls and bars. But their front desk area was not good Feng Shui according to very low roof and directly connected to Soi(small street). If hotel owner and management repair these error, their hotel would be crowded with many travellers. My room from 17 floor was nice city view non smoking room with safe and clean. Their Wi-Fi also completed. They provided fruits and complementary drink for us. Room facilities were perfect with iron, umbrella etc,.March 30 morning breakfast was great. Marsala omelette was my favorite one. Everything was satisfactory during our stay there. Even our trip to airport from hotel around 3pm,at that time Sukhumvit road was huge traffic jam. So very hard to find meter taxi for foreigners, mostly taxi drivers asked double or triple price. But fortunately, polite and lovely helpful hotel bell boy called meter taxi for us. I would stay there and impressive other Compass hospitality hotels for next Bangkok trips.
We really loved our stay here. The room was lovely, clean, and spacious. The service was really excellent as well. Any time I had a question or needed help I could count on the staff. Breakfast was really great as well! The close location to the BTS Nana station was wonderful and so convenient. There are plenty of shops and good food nearby as well. The one complaint is that on the side of the hotel we were staying on there is a local restaurant with live music till about midnight, but that’s not really the hotel’s fault.
we had booked this hotel for two nights on booking.com for two adjoining rooms to sleep 2 adults and 3 children. arrived only to be told that our rooms weren't ready as someone else wanted to check out late and was still in our rooms! offered us rooms that weren't adjoining - didn't seem to understand that a family need to be together! we decided to wait until our rooms were ready and the manager gave us a round of free soft drinks as compensation for our time!! disappointed to say the least - the husband argued for at least 1 free beer which was begrudgingly given. finally rooms were ready- only to find that we had 1 room with double bed, 1 room with 2 singles, kids aged, 7, 7 and 14? asked for the other bed to be put in, only for manager ADA to tell us we had to pay an extra 1000baht per night and 295baht for breakfast for extra child!!! i showed the booking i made and paid for which clearly stated 5 people including ages, manager said capacity for rooms were 2 people per room and we were basically squeezing in..... offered to wave the breakfast fee..... but still wanted paying for extra bed.. after several arguments about the fact we had already booked for 5 and paid 12,500baht for 2 nights we left the hotel bags and kids in tow and checked into a hotel that provides what they have offered and has better service than the terrible one offered by Grand Swiss staff.
We had a room on the 17 Floor. Room size is reasonable and quiet. Bed is comfortable and bathroom is clean. We went to the 18 floor club lounge in the late afternoon for a drink, but it was hot and the air-conditioning was not powerful enough. Didn't stay long at the lounge. Breakfast has a good selection and I particularly like the onsen egg kept soft-boiled throughout in the warm pot. One suggestion for the check-in staff at the counter. You may wish to highlight to guests that the hotel offers a discount on the daily BTS pass. We only saw the little notice at the corner of the counter only when we were checking out.
I have been to Bangkok many, MANY times and have stayed in different hotels each time - some great, some crappy and Grand Swiss ranks with the former, great! This time, I stayed a week and the hotel was ideal for that period of visit. Service was excellent, especially the bell-boys/concierge, room service staff and security. They were always smiling, greeting and helped wherever they can. Location is pretty convenient too considering it is literally 2mins walk from Nana BTS (which is 1 station away from Asok BTS (Terminal 21), 2 (or 3) stations from Central/Siam, etc. depending on where you want to walk from/to). Never saw the need to take any of the countless taxis/tuktuks around the area because of the BTS. And even when I didn't take BTS, I had no problems with Grab drivers locating the hotel (ALTHOUGH during peak period, it will take awhile for them to get in due to the typical BKK jam). I LOVED the room. It was so comfortable and size just nice for a solo traveler, i.e. no too big you seem alone yet small enough to feel cozy. And no complains about the view either, could pretty much see downtown Bangkok. Also, mine was a smoking room so that was a plus (at despite it being a smoking room, the smoke smell doesn't exactly linger). There are many food, bars and massage parlours around as well. There were only 2 "issues": (A) I couldn't connect to the room Wifi but since I checked in via the Executive Lounge and was already logged on to that Wifi, didn't affect me that I couldn't log into my room's Wifi. (B) Either there were problems with the key cards because I had to "swipe" in numerous times each time I wanted to get into my room, mostly (even my friends who visited also had trouble when I asked them to try), or there was a method to getting it opened (short pause I suppose). I changed the key cards and same thing happened (couldn't access the lift at 1 point). Whatever the little issues I encountered were, I would definitely consider booking Grand Swiss again!
-Location was great. Directly next to the Nana BTS trainstation. However it's in the Arabian/Indian zone which not everyone may like. After sunset a lot of girls are trying to hook up with a man -Wifi working fine however the router LED gave so much light at night there it would light up the room (see picture) -Room was spacious and clean -Good breakfast -Opposite of the hotel there is a garden restaurant with a band playing every night from 20h until midnight. Rooms facing that side of the hotel will hear that band all night (like mine).
The hotel is clean and nice. Very near to Nana BTS and major shopping malls. A lot of restaurants and pubs around the hotels. Nice and good breakfast provided. But the swimming pool is really small. Should have more international adaptors and power plug in the room
Hotel has good location, near many restaurants and tuk tuks to take you wherever. Rooms were modern and clean, beds comfortable and shower large. Staff was friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was awesome, so many choices. Work out room had treadmills and some weights, but smelled like smoke, not sure if the ventillation system was working correctly.? Roof top restaurant was great to go to for drinks and relax. Rooftop pool was inviting.
Very good location very near to Nana BTS Station to get on the sky train very easily. Large choice of restaurants and discos very close by. In the heart of the lively Sukhumvit area. Superbe roof bar with great view over Bangkok
S tayed in this hotel for 8 days in march.Big plus point was it is near to Bts nana station. Room size was ok for us.Breakfast was ok.Need more variations in breakfast. Swimming pool area is so small. Staffs are very helpful. Wifi speed was ok for us. Hope to stay here again in near future.
