The information on TA is generally accurate, but one should be aware that there are some annoying maintenance issues that any guest will have to deal with. The hot water is from an electric heater over the shower. It turns out a feeble trickle of tepid water at best. Hot water isn't generally a requirement in Bangkok, but it's rather annoying that one CANNOT take a hot shower when one wants one. This is a strike against the hotel. Generally, the room needs some maintenance TLC. Door panelling is peeling. Bathroom grout is riddled with mould. Drawers stick and rattle due to worn or broken rails. None of this is a killer, but does bring down the feeling of comfort one gets from a well maintained hotel room. With that said, I found the staff largely friendly and helpful. It took some explaining for them to understand that my fiancée isn't the normal "guest for the night", but their expectation that all "guests" turn in their ID is understandable. We were probably the exception. Not bad for the price, but you can get better maintained and far more modern rooms for only a few dollars more per night.

I have prepaid this hotel with breakfast. When we checked in at this hotel, no one was helping with our luggage. Room was smelling bad like someone just stopped smoking. Food was served at the bar next door. Special small size food was given to guests from City Lodge, and only 2 kind of dishes was given. (Out of 10) We asked for more food the last day. TV with American soccer was turned on and was very noisy. Only one The, coffee or juice was included No one give information how the aircondition work it was turned on at 15 degrees when we came. Remember 2 free water in the room. Next one 90 bath. (14 bath in shop next door) Unfortunately i opened a bottle by accident. We have a long discussion if there were 1 or 2 bottles opened. The best was that the charwoman was smiling and very kind. Last year we visited Legacy Express Sukhumvit - No complain there. The staff even stopped a taxi for us and make a good prize (I always give extra, taxi are very cheap)

I have spent in City Lodge Soi 9 two nights. Hotel is located on the main street. I had a early trips round the city and hotel offered me to have a breakfast in their other hotel. I have spent my afternoons in swimming pool. Ask the reception to use this option.

The best part about this hotel- Really convenient as it is next to bts station, maybe about 10 meters walk. Very cheap for its location. Room is basic, quite narrow and dark. Loud old school a/c that is either too hot or too cold. Hard to adjust. Agree with other reviews- smell of smoke. Not so nice as we were traveling with our two year old. But the receptionists did apologize as they were out of non-smoking room. TBH, very comfortable bed and pillows. Happening night market outside of the hotel, though a little dodgy. One of a kind experience at this hotel.

This is a very old hotel and needs some urgent renovation but at least it is clean. There are better hotels in this area for the same price. The only good thing at this hotel is the location with many excellent restaurants and shopping malls nearby. The standard rooms are very noisy. If you need a quiet room there is a surcharge!!! Requested a quiet room at the backside or high floor but got a very noisy room just next to the skytrain station. Reception staff is very friendly except one lady which was not nice at check in.

The location of this hotel is ideal if you wish to sample the Sukhumvit / Nana nightlife. Its cheap, clean, functional and get amazing value for money. As long as your expectations are managed by the bargain price you are paying you will never be disappointed.

Friendly staff check in very easy. Nice and very clean rooms. Situated on Sukhumvit rd might give some traffic noise but it is very quiet. A bit overpriced so try to get a last minute offer and if you do it is good value for money.

It's a worn out hotel located at the corner of Soi 9 Sukhumvit Road. There is no bell boy so you will have to carry your own luggage to your room. Once you're in a room, you'll get either a BTS sky train view on one side or view of Soi 11 on the other. Everything in the room is old and outdated. When you get into a bathroom, you'll realize you can eavesdrop on pretty much everyone in the hotel through the ventilation. So be careful of what you say. Hahaha. As for breakfast, please don't expect much. First of all, it's served in a bar next door, and second, they don't serve until 8:30am. Lastly, you'll get two basic choices. At least that's what my Fiance and I experienced. Either a French toast or a regular toast with butter. I mention convenient in the title only because it's located right in front of Nana BTS stop. That's the only up side of staying here. My Fiance booked this place thinking it might be much better than it actually is. Let's just say we were let down by this hotel. I hope you'd find my review useful. Best Regards, Cho Shane

Stayed here temporarily in Bangkok, and the location is the BEST part of this hotel. It is literally NEXT to the BTS Nana stop which can take you anywhere in Bangkok. It is also a few blocks away from Terminal 21 Shopping Centre, Levels Nightclub and Soi Cowboy if you're looking for somewhere to party. There are also lots of nearby restaurants, pubs and bars nearby, and plenty of nice Indian/Thai restaurants within very close walking distance. One thing I did not like were the showers, they were outdated and required the heater box to be switched on - which did not always work properly. Also, the toilet has a vent which faces the outdoor corridors of the rooms. Meaning that you can hear people taking showers and sometimes catch a whiff of some foul odours in the hallways. Secondly, my room was on the third floor - directly facing the BTS. Meaning that when I opened the window, people were level to me and I was 5 metres away from the train station entry. Therefore, all the time I would hear people climbing up the steps or all the road traffic. Would not recommend staying on the lower levels. However, still a good place- very reasonable price and clean bed and facilities. It is a very basic hotel for you to come and crash at after a long day of travelling and exploring or doing whatever. There isn't anything to do in the actual hotel. Would also recommend they upgrade to a keycard door facility rather than a key with a massive tag on it.

I'm still staying in this hotel. The Hotel location is next to nana Bts. Very Clean hotel... The staff is Good. While Checkin little problem will come as the reception staff didnt find ma booking...but after some time it resolved. But thats a minor thing. STAFF is good ...very helpfull..dome people said as i saw in reviews that hotel is not clean..staff is not good...very noisy ...its all wrong. Good rooms neat and clean...no noise at all. Next time when i will come i will surely stay in this hotel again. Thanks City Lodge Soi 9 made my trip comfortable..
