In a side street but not a problem to get around, 10 minute walk to main road or a 2 minute buggy ride. Laundry and convenience stores close. Close to nightlife and shopping. Good service. no complaints for the price. Recommended.
Hotel located in a side street ten minutes walk to the mad soi cowboy and terminal 21 shopping centre. We were fortunate to get an upgrade to a suite which was huge, pool was on the roof small but fine with a small gym attached. All the staff were friendly and breakfast was fine usual stuff as in Thailand. We walked to two parks ten minutes walk and lumpina about forty minutes walk. Near bts so you can explore Bangkok. Great location but not far from anything no need for taxi. Would stay here again without hesitation.
This was my second visit to this hotel, stayed for three nights and only slept well for one night. We had a few young lads who been out enjoying Bangkok being rather nosey and knocking on outdoor every hour. I felt the reception/porter could have done more. It wasn’t great trying to enjoy Bangkok on little sleep although this experience tainted out experience we would still recommend and I would certainly stay here again. Great location and lovely roof top pool. The staff as always where polite and helpful.
We were both so pleased with this hotel. The staff were super friendly and even let us check in five hours earlier than our check in time without any extra charge. This was particularly appreciated after a 15 hour flight. There were other positives as well - the rooftop pool had some amazing views and there was plenty to choose from for breakfast. Our room was particularly spacious as well with a sofa, good-sized bathroom as well as kitchen amenities (fridge, stove and cupboards). The location is also fantastic with the Sky train close to the hotel as well as bars and restaurants. One of the negatives was the loud air con (I'm a particularly fussy sleeper so I wouldn't worry about this too much!) but without this, it was so hot as we experienced when we turned it off one night. Also some of the guests were very loud and noisy on one of the nights (until 3 in the morning) which was very frustrating but again the hotel can't be blamed for the rudeness of some people! Overall a great stay :)
A good business hotel located about 7-10 minutes on foot from the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) station or Asok BTS (Sky Train) station. It might look like it's situated in a quiet neighborhood during the day, but the area gets real lively during the night, especially around the Soi Cowboy/red-light area nearby. Despite the not so family-friendly area in such close proximity, I always felt safe walking to and from the hotel at night thanks to all the people walking around. Aside from Soi Cowboy, the night crowds are also probably due to the numerous bars and restaurants in the area, so don’t worry about going hungry. Then there are the malls nearby too, notably Terminal 21 mall back at the subway/train station. Upon arriving we were warmly greeted and the staff quickly went to work checking us in. It was a quick and smooth. While waiting for the lady to finish up the check-in process, another staff member provided cold towels and tea. I thought that was a nice touch and really refreshing after walking in the heat and humidity with my luggage. We booked a suite which was a room with a separate living room area with a second TV, a washing machine, mini-kitchen and a balcony. The room was spacious, but unfortunately has seen better days. Some of the furniture were worn and there were noticeable mold stains in the shower area. The sitting area was late to easily fit a roll away bed, which was were I slept since there was three of us staying in this room and only one king bed in the bedroom. I can’t comment on the actual bed as I didn’t sleep on it, but the roll away one was one of the more comfortable ones I’ve slept on. There were two ACs in the suite and the one in the living room was quite loud and made strange whirring noises every now and then. This might be bothersome to some, but I fall asleep easily, so it wasn't a problem for me. I was able to utilize the hotel’s rooftop pool during my stay. It’s on the small side, but it got the job done and offered some decent views up there. The gym is right next to the pool and consisted of some freeweights, a treadmill and two cycling machines. It wasn’t much, but it’s better than nothing. The room reservation also came with free breakfast buffet each morning. The food was quite good! There was a nice selection of food to choose from that was actually tasty and different styled eggs that were made on request. I feel this was one of the better points of the hotel. Overall, the hotel is in a good location with good staff and good breakfast buffet. The rooms could use a refresh, but for the price I paid compared to nearby hotels I couldn’t complain. So would I stay here again? Well, if the price is right then sure.
Me and my family spent five nights in the Admiral Premier Bangkok, scattered around a 10-days period (we took several short trips from Bangkok) and ended up thoroughly disappointed by it. When we arrived at the hotel the first day at 9PM we were coming straight from the airport and we were dying to take a shower and get some sleep after a 16 hour flight. After checking in and paying for the first two nights, the staff at the reception informed us that the room wasn’t ready yet (at 9PM! The check-in time is supposed to be at 2PM) and asked us to please wait for 10 minutes in the lobby. We waited for more than 20 minutes before asking again, and they repeated us that we had to wait for 10 (more?) minutes without an apology of any sorts. We decided to go out and grab something to eat in the meanwhile. When we came back (it was now way past 10PM) the room was finally ready, but all our baggage (which they told us they would take to our room) was still in the reception, completely unattended. This was just the first of several situations we had with the hotel in the following days, the worse one taking place 4 days later. Again, we had booked a triple room for 3 adults for one night. We did the check-in, paid for the night, and only after paying the staff announced us that we had been “upgraded to the junior suite for free”. Of course we were happy, since that should have been great news, right? The surprise came when we entered said suite and found out there was only one double bed in it. No extra bed (which we had already paid for, by the way), no sofa bed, nothing. Only one double bed with clearly not enough space for 3 full grown adults. We went back to the reception and asked for the extra bed we had paid for, and they acted all surprised on us. I quote literally: “Oh, but that is why we have upgraded you to the suite, we don’t have any extra beds left for tonight. But the suite is very big!”. I don’t care if the suite has the size of a football stadium, as long as it doesn’t have enough beds for the three of us! We told the staff in the reception we had already paid for an extra bed and no suite was going to make up for the lack of sleeping space. Their response? They LITERALLY offered us to throw some blankets and a pillow in the floor so one of us could sleep in the floor!!! Now, this is a FOUR STAR HOTEL with pretty high fees taking in account it’s in Bangkok. After arguing with the receptionists for almost 10 minutes, they finally offered us to transfer our booking to their “sister hotel”, an obviously lower category hotel a few hundred meters from the Premier Admiral. At no point in the discussion they apologized or offered to give our money back for the night. We weren’t happy at all with the mediocre, slightly smelly room we were given at the other hotel, but at that point we would have taken anything other than sleeping on the floor… Apart from the awful service, the hotel is nothing to write home about. The entrance was slightly smelly and one of the rooms we stayed in had plenty of ants (in fact, they were fumigating the whole building on our fifth night…). I am giving it 2 stars instead of one because the breakfast was decent and the restaurant staff was very nice. But I would recommend everyone to stay away from the Admiral Premier and invest their money in any other hotel, at least until they undertake a renovation of the staff in the reception.
Right let's get straight to the point me and my friend stayed Here for 3 nights last week in July 2017. If you read all my reviews i am fair and my previous 2 reviews were great for this hotel. This was my third stay here, the first time i absolutely loved it. Second time also but slightly less. Third time however wasn't the charm. I noticed a lot in Thailand especially in this Hotel once you have made your payment nobody seems to care about you anymore and staff become very cold. The lady who checked me in was nice and friendly and there was one lady who i saw frequently was very nice however the rest of the staff need a lot of work on there attitude. There is a free tuk tuk service which is never advertised for use and every time i seemed to ask minus once it seemed to be occupied or somewhere else. I even once flagged the guy down with glasses who drives it he just waved us away. I requested a High floor roon with a city view and balcony and given that which was nice and the breakfast team were lovely apart from when my friend had to clean the table herself due to nobody being there to move it. The air conditioning unit outside the room is very very loud especially at night when you want some sleep. The room itself stunk like an ashtray this is the second time this has happened in this hotel with me, the room smelt old and like cigarettes and the smell didn't go once during my stay there it was disgusting! The bathroom was nice and a nice big bathtub but the problem was the water goes everywhere in the shower and makes a mess and a waste of a towel to clean it up. Toiletries were provided along with slippers and bathrobes but the bathrobe was taken on day 2 and not replaced. The view in my room was absolutely stunning and made my stay much much better. The rooftop pool is the best thing about the hotel but whereas there was numerous towels there before now there was nothing at all. Cutbacks maybe? Now upon checkout I always take the slippers and toiletries etc for memories sake and last time i took a hairdryer bag which nobody had an issue with. This time it was an issue. Before checkout me and my friend told the man ay the desk we was checking out in 30 minutes so please prepare my breakfast bill and everything else etc as we was running late for the airport he said OK. When i got to check out I waited 5 minutes before a phone call was even made to the cleaner to check the room and then the lady asked if i took the bag which I said yes and i was instantly told to give it back but i was more than Happy to pay for it and i was made to give it back. The bellboy ( old man with glasses) took my bag to one side for no reason and didnt bother taking it out. Then the grand finale happened. The bellboy ( old man with glasses) approached me and my friend who is Thai and asked if we needed a taxi we said yes and he said he would go look for one. He came back within a minute and said to my friend that there wasn't any available however he tried to BRIBE us and said but if we give him 500 thb he would get one. Now i stayed here 3 times before and i know average 4 taxis drive past every minute. Outside 3 taxis were already parked up looking for customers. At the time I didn't know he tried to bribe us, however i walked 30 meters to the crossroad and instantly saw 2 taxis and the bellboy even followed me outside to see what I did. I called for my taxi and took my things and we left and not even a word of goodbye from reception. The biggest letdown of my stay was the appealing attitude of staff, whereas this hotel once had such great hospitality and service now sadly it's a typical BKK hotel where once you pay you are an afterthought. And the worst thing was the bellboy trying to bribe us i never seen this happen before and it is disgusting that he offered to look for a taxi and didn't even bother going past the hotel entrance before lieing, then having the cheek to bribe us, we was very angry about this and fortunately I been Thailand numerous times to know my way. I am sure the manager will respond trying to defend the hotel and staff and then promising they are looking at ways to improve. Go for it pal you say the same thing to everybody. Pros WiFi Rooftop pool View from room Balcony Size of room Decor Furniture Bed Big bathroom Con's Rude cold staff Bellboy with the glasses trying to bribe us Dirty cigarette smell in room and hallway Old dated hotel Not offering the free tuk tuk to customers
Cool place to stay in bangkok close to lot of restaurant commercial center and skytrain. Beds are comfortable people are very sweet. Pool was great. Wifi was a bit slow but correct to keep contact by messenger and viber also. I will advise my friends.
Probably the 4th time we have stayed here. Our room had been recently refurbished and it was beautiful, spacious and immaculately clean. Great rooftop pool and friendly staff. Special thanks to Max in the restaurant for his excellent service. We will be back.
we were a party of 5 and we stayed for 3nites speard over 3 rooms. Upon check-in, we were greeted with an unsmiling frontdesk staff who is defintely not a role model for the Land of Smiles. Our request was for 2 twin-sharing and one double however 3 double was given. Furniture and fittings in the rooms are showing their age and bcs of the design of the bathtub, there is water seepage via the edge of the tub to the bathroom floor. The only saving grace is that some of the staff does display dedication and professionalism to their craft. One of the staff in particular Ms P.Oil was very attentive and kind to our needs. For that we do need to express our thanks and appreciation for the service and care that we received during our stay. The hotel is ard 10mins walk away from BTS and MRT. Ample selection of eateries nearby for food junkies and Soi Cowboy is within walking distance for those who are into that.
