The Fox Hotel and Suites

Nice looking hotel with about 10 minute walk to downtown. They provide a free pass for the ROAM bus, and the buss stop is right in front of the hotel. The bus only goes every 60 minutes though. They include continental breakfast (only have cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastry, boiled eggs, and waffles)at the Chilli's restaurant. They have a small hot pool with dry sauna. The pool has an opening in the ceiling which would be super cool when it's snowing. They have changing room, but you have to bring 25 cents to lock in your belongings (this is the most awkward thing about the hotel). You may want to bring a few because every time you want to lock the locker, you have to put in 25 cents. Also, some lockers don't work. The easiest thing to do is just leave all your things in your room, and just walk in your slippers and swimsuit to the pool. They also have a fair amount of underground parking, but there isn't enough for every room in the hotel (it's on first come first serve basis, so you may end up parking on the street outside. All parking in Banff is free). Some of the rooms are pretty small, so we had to do some rearrangements to fit in. Overall, it's a nice hotel, and i would recomend it.

Nice and clean newer facility but really an outside entrance style motel. Gives appearance as a hotel but rooms are accessed from outside after leaving the lobby. not really a problem except in winter when was actually well below freezing and snowing. Rooms were well appointed but quite small and tight by today's standards. But still excellent value for our 1day stay as we had a very low last minute rate. Would not be happy just on room size to have spent the listed normal price. So 4 out of 5 for value.

Nice views, clean rooms, updated nicely. The "free" breakfast is a continental breakfast, so if you plan on hiking, you will need more food ! The hot springs tub is nice for after hiking, and the hotel is close to any shopping or restaurants in Banff.

Suite size was very nice, included a kitchenette, two TV's small balcony. Furniture was very dated and worn. Expected more for the price

Hotel rooms were very small for the price. Included breakfast buffet was OK, but did not have eggs other than hard boiled. Hotel was a long walk to downtown Banff, but on the main drag. Outdoor dining facilities were not open despite relatively good weather. Parking was indoors. Staff was friendly.

The Rooms that are split level have narrow stairways that are hard to climb! but overall a great lodge to stay at!!

My family of three stayed in a two-floor loft unit in The Fox for four nights. Everything worked well for us. It was quiet during our entire stay. They added a crib for my 2.5-year old son, who slept peacefully inside. He loved to roam around and climb up and down the stairs. Highly recommended.

For a two-bedroom suite (and the price) the place was crammed with worn out furniture. Noisy A/C and early morning street noise from open window. Horrible sofa bed!

After a long drive, the staff made for a welcome greeting and easy check-in.

The room was small but sufficient. The location was great - boarded the bus right outside the hotel to downtown banff.

Hotel is very nice with complimentary internet and breakfast… The pool is exotic. Kids loved it

This was a good place to stay in that the room was nice and clean, the Chili's on site was convenient and it was not far to downtown (closer to a fifteen minute walk than five though). Our only complaint was that there is no air conditioning in the regular rooms and only a small window! It was very warm in the room at night and they only provide a fan, but not one that helps draw air from the window. This was a big disappointment, but the only disappointment.

The location was great and the hotel was very nice. The staff went above and beyond to help my sister and I book a rafting trip from the front desk. Continental breakfast at Chilis was above average, and the hot tub area wans amazing. My only complaint is that our room was very small. It was very clean and nice, so overall, It was a great stay.

Perfect for what we were looking for. Close to town and great pool.

Amenity is so good. We were able to use soup of Rocky Mountain in stay hear. We were comfortable to sleep as like stiff bed that we expected. Breakfast was also good quality as complimentary. We was spending time for vacation.

Front desk staff very helpful Room comfortable Breakfast very good

We booked this hotel a week before our honeymoon when our camping plans fell through. It's a 5-minute walk to downtown Banff (restaurants, shops, etc.), service is great, hot pool is great...but the rooms are just ordinary (and on the small side) and probably not worth the $200/night we paid for them. All that said, would stay here again if I could get a better rate.

I booked a Premium King with mountain view and was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into the room and looked like I got upgraded to a Premim Loft room! Very nice room, with fridge, microwave and an awesome view. Hotel is located near the north end of Banff Ave. A short walk (approx 10 min) to all the main action. But the hotel is very easly accessible to Highway 1 and the rest of the wonderful sites of Banff National Park. We didn't know about the natural hot springs hot pool so we didn't bring our bathing suits. Looked really ce though and will certainly look this hotel up again the next time we are in Banff!

This place has really good decor. And well appointed suites. Although I cant say the same as their rooms. Which look out inside the complex rather than out on the street or the view. I upgraded to the after staying one night in the room on the ground floor. Suite and was quite nice with a great view.

standard room was well appointed but a little small for the money, other than that the Fox was great.
