Great overall experience. Staff very friendly and courteous. I knew it was going to be pricey but wanted the whole experience of Banff. I wish I had allowed time to enjoy the hotel grounds to make it more worthwhile. Room had a great view after we paid for an upgrade. Room amenities and comfort are so so.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Amazing views from the "mountain view" rooms. If you have the opportunity upgrade to Fairmont GOLD. Included is a hot buffet breakfast, appetizers before dinner, and deserts after dinner. All in a private lounge that has some board games to play and DVDs that you can borrow. Room looked new renovated with a nice bathroom, large TV, and bose stereo. Take the time to explore around the area and the town of Banff while staying.

Amazingly beautiful, historic hotel with a spectacular view from every room!

Wonderful Holiday! When we first arrived I thought we'd be disappointed when they told us our room was in the adjoining conference center rather than the actual Castle hotel. I was wrong because our room was lovely and the ski rental and bowling (and movie theatre - although we didn't watch a movie) were in our bldg. There was a indoor walkway to the castle hotel and we were step away from bus pick up for our rides to the ski areas. The staff was amazing. We were gone for the gingerbread house making so my daughter texted the conigere and they delivered a set to our room so my teens could still decorate. Best vacation we have ever taken.

Wonderful helpful staff that made sure our entire stay was comfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Will also strongly consider Fairmont hotels in other locations in the future.

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend staying on the Gold floor, well worth the extra money.

The hotel is awesome and the staff was wonderful. They sent us a fruit plate unsolicited which was a pleasant surprise There was some deferred maintenance in our room and we were close to the elevator which tended to be noisy. The food in the hotel was very good and we ate there a few times. They just need to fix a few things and it would be perfect

This was the most beautiful setting and hotel that I have ever stayed at. The service was exceptional and it was very easy to get around.

The staff was amazing under pressure - their computer technology had failed them for a few days and was operating a sold out patronage!

Great weekend away. Hotel was fantastic and pool was amazing. Only complaint was wifi access.

It is a beautiful hotel with great views of the mountains. Many different options for eating at the premises added to the value for the money spent on the booking.

everything was great. hotel gave us free upgrade to gold flower with complimentary access to the lounge.

It's a great hotel and even better with the upgrade to the gold floor. The free breakfast and snacks were worth the extra charge.

We are typical Four seasons/ Ritz guests. We upgraded our room to the Fairmont View, view is exceptional however windows are tiny, room is tiny ,bathroom was a box. Hardly any room to put your things on the sink. For $550 average rate it's a poor room. Hotel staff were great especially concierge. We had breakfast in hotel, overpriced at $30 for a omelette station and usual breakfast food. Banff is beautiful, Town and surrounding area amazing. Stay in town, save a few bucks.

We had a very nice stay in Banff. Beautiful surroundings but the most note worth piece was the "pet friendly" aspect. for $25/night we were supplied with dog bowls, ad dog bed and treats for our Golden Receiver. But on top of that the staff treated her like royalty. Most of the guests also loved to see her, we couldn't walk down the hall without multiple people stopping for a pet. Both our stay and others were enriched. The hotel should really think about having one on staff.

The atmosphere and view was gorgeous. After booking I called to make sure to get 2 queen beds and they offered an upgrade to a suite at a deal I couldn't resist. The customer service on the phone was even outstanding. When we arrived we were shocked at how nice the room was. The view from the balcony was breath taking. The history behind the hotel is also great. All in all I wish we could have stayed longer!!! It was worth every penny!!

The Hotel and Staff were outstanding; would stay there agin in a heart beat!

Everything's really good other than the room size. Got a free room upgrade but the room was still really small.

We had a special one night stay at The Fairmont Banff Springs. It is magical and unique. The Staff, without exception, were all friendly, helpful and attentive. Followed advice from previous guests and booked a Gold Room, 5th floor in main building with use of Gold Lounge etc., A perfect experience. Room was comfortable with lots of extra surprises. I had realised the age of the building and respect of original, historic footprint ruled out rooms being extra huge but our room was a good size and compact bathroom had a luxurious modern fitout and large directional jets shower which was bliss. We appreciated our stay as a chance to experience a very historical hotel and it's magnificence and charm.

Stayed for three nights on the Gold (5th) Level. I can't imagine coming to Banff and NOT staying at this historic and picturesque hotel. The grounds are immaculate, my room was updated and very comfortable, the staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming (and a great source of local information) there are several great options for dining/drinks on site, the spa is absolutely worthy of half a day, and the Gold level afternoon reception and breakfast were quite impressive. I will be back!!
