Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Worn carpets, stains throughout the carpet, peeling wall paper, live bugs crawling in the walls, dirty bathroom. I will not be staying here again.

I liked their green policy, giving a $5 card to be used if we did not have our room made up. The front desk staff, especially Michael, were courteous and helpful. The woman who cleaned on the floor I stayed on gave me a couple of new tea bags when I requested them and then remembered me and continued to check to see what I needed. The location, near a library, a Whole Foods, and near a pretty little lake with a walking path is great. It was quiet at night. They did, however, forget my wake up call on the last day, Fortunately there was an alarm clock and I had set it.

This hotel was witching walking distance to the Columbia Mall. Great location

Do not ever use this hotel if you expect to have the Sheraton experience while booking a Lodge room. This area is far away from the actual Sheraton hotel. The rooms are huge but have almost no furniture. The room would not regulate the temperature and there was no way to turn the TV on as there was no remote. The area is shabby and mechanical's are loud. The shower water was weak and the bathroom tiny. For $150/night, it was a terrible choice.

The hotel was convenient, quiet, and the beds were comfortable. It met our needs for the one night we needed to stay.

Service was excellent, Location was walking distance. I will come back next year.

The room was reasonable clean and the staff was very cheerful and nice. I would say there again, when the pool is actually open. :)

Excellent hotel with great rooms. With the exception of the evening Club Room staff member, the staff is friendly and attentive. Cost is fair for what you get, especially if you can get a club room.

Columbia MD is a beautifully planned city with winding tree-lined streets. The Sheraton was the first hotel built in the city--an attached lodge housed the city's original construction workers--and the hotel sits beside a beautiful lake with a mile long walking path around it. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful; staying here is like being on a retreat. The staff, to a person, are outgoing and friendly. Within walking distance are lakeside restaurants, a Whole Foods Market, and a large indoor shopping mall. The hotel provides free shuttle service anywhere within a five mile radius of the hotel. This was our second stay at the hotel, and we will return again.

We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance to the Merriweather Pavillion. I like that there is a bar downstairs. This was my 2nd stay & I'd stay again.

Great place to stay if you are going to a show at Merriweather! We walked there and back and didn't have to worry about parking because we could leave our car at the hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service was great too! Nice sized room with a comfy bed.

The hotel is extremely close to Merriweather. The staff was friendly, and I wasn't disturbed by house cleaning before checkout as I've had happen at other hotels.

Visiting family in Columbia, MD with wife/2 kids; we love the location with the kids, and the outdoor pool is great. I grew up in the area, and my sister had her wedding reception in the hotel 20 years ago, so we have along history with the hotel. The new management has done well, and is friendly, helpful, and very family orientated. We will be coming back to this hotel again definitely!

I stayed at this hotel to attend a nearby concert. I planned on walking to and from the concert. When I got to the hotel I was pleased to learn they provided a shuttle to and from the venue. When the shuttle dropped us off the guy told us they would pick us up after the concert and told us where to wait for them. I asked if there was a a specific time, the guy said there wasn't and they would be running until the end. When the concert ended we waited for almost 20 minutes at the pickup point until we called and were told that the shuttle stopped running at 11 PM. The concert ended at 11:05 PM. We walked the mile back to the hotel in the rain.

It was a good atmosphere and had a summer concert series nearby.

Great price, helpful staff . Room was nice, but both the mattress and the bathroom were subpar.

Very nice hotel. Location within walking distance of concerts at Merriweather Pavillion! Downside was slamming doors all morning most of which was from housekeeping! Also we left an article of clothing and it was "not found" in our room.

My overall stay was a great experience location, staff everything was over the top and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family

The hotel is located by a lake. The lake has a walking/jogging trail all the way around it. It is beautiful! Great for morning runs and great for afternoon/evening moments. The staff was wonderful. I asked for directions to a store. The young man asked me to pull up in front of the hotel. I pulled up in front of the hotel and he jumped in the van and excorted me to the location. Great stay!!!

The hotel is situated on the lake in Columbia , MD. Overall everything was clean, nice and beautiful. Definitely the best location for staying in Columbia
