This place was really beautiful and surprisingly affordable. You can see the castle from the hotel, and it's located just across the street. There's also a beautiful cemetery and church ruins right behind the hotel -- you can view it from some windows. Lovely little courtyard, and I really enjoyed the piano and fireplace in the lobby. The bar was fine, we just had drinks. Loved the friendly bartender, though. The breakfast was pretty standard hot hotel breakfast in Ireland. They did offer some nice cheeses, and everything was super fresh.
Do not be confused this is not a five star property. The room smelled musty there was thick black mold present in the shower, as well as on the shower head. I would be afraid of getting legionaries disease. The mgmt did not address my concern nor were they empathetic of the situation. Do not stay here.
