Wonderful is not enough to describe the feel about staying this hotel. We stayed two days at Lagoon Villa this time. All I can is this hotel should be worth to rate 8 stars! Every details they think for you already. All the smiles on EVERY employees' face when they see u. And they are not only friendly but also very professional for sure. I do not want to bother to mention how good their food is or how magnificent view they have. I just want to share with you their attitude. Employees' attitude is the hardest thing to manage and control, however it is the most important thing to a hotel. And all I can say is St. Regis, Bali nails it! During these 3 days stay, I feel I am living in a palace with hundreds of professional assistants, and also feel I am just staying at home with all lovely family members together! Thanks to my buddy Edi, and all other crews in St. Regis. You guys are a group of terrific people to help give the pleasant memory for every tourist that stays with you in Bali. Attached is a towel animal that was made by the house keepers for my room. By the way, they made three different kinds in two days. At last, thanks again for all your hospitality! You guys are amazing! Mr. Weng
We stayed at the St Regis Bali for a couple nights and our overall stay was absolutely amazing. A highlight during our stay was the King Cole Bar and our server Jimmy. His service was top-notch, incredibly friendly, helped arranged dinner reservations, provided suggestions on things to see and do, and also educated us on the Balinese culture. We enjoyed talking to him so much we went back to the King Cole Bar the second night! Thank you St. Regis and Jimmy for such a pleasant stay in Bali!
I am so disappointed. Granted the grounds are beautiful and the staff for the most part is charming. But as they say one bad Apple can spoil the barrel. It was just a serious of tiny missteps that took what was to be a lovely weekend into the stay I can't wait to forget. What makes matters worse is that I'm on my way to Beijing and staying at the St Regis there ...I only hope that will be better. Upon arrival they were charming and very understanding that I had been ill as I was at another SPG property previously which is where they picked me up. The driver and butler were extremely courteous and made sure I did not want for anything. I felt content. So much so, I decided to extend my stay another day. I went out to the pool, watched the fire show, then I went to one of the restaurants-the deli. I chose it as I had been battling "Bali Belly" and needed a light and clean meal. I ordered chicken broth and chicken Cesar. I explain numerous times that I wanted just broth and after the third time everyone was on board. Halfway into my broth I knew I had to get back to my room...Quick. I asked for my Cesar to be wrapped so I could leave. I waited almost 10 min...nothing so I asked again. He then told me the butler would bring it up. I was sick and did not wish to wait on a butler. I called management and explained to him the situation. I told him I did not feel well nor do I want to wait on anyone. I just want to go to bed. I also asked that I did not want to see anyone or be disturb. Just leave the tray and I'll grab it, but to respect my privacy. Of course I got the "yes yes yes" then he came and would not leave my food so I finally open the door and took it. His reasoning was he did not want to leave it on the ground. But this is a hotel, I am a guest. He could have bought a restaurant serving tray and left it on that or he could have just put it down as I told him to just leave it. They totally disregarded my wishes and in turn me. That I can not tolerate, especially when I ask for something and you say yes but then in theory you do the opposite. If management would have explained BEFORE the incident I would have been miffed and understood but to say yes then do the opposite. I decided then and there to change my plan and not stay the additional night. There are numerous hotels in Bali that addresses a customers wants/needs. The breakfast buffet while plentiful is a bit blah in taste however the service was great. Upon checkout I saw the same manager I'd spoken with earlier, no actual apology for him or staff. And no one helped me with my bag when I got into the car I ordered for myself as the car I had paid for with them was only good to take me to the airport. I will never stay at this property again, nor another St.Regis if the one in Beijing isn't up to par, and in that instance never an another SPG. I chose SPG for a level/standard of service that I found lacking at this property.
After a long day of travel, we were exhausted and wanted a low key evening before heading to bed early. We landed on King Cole Bar and upon arrival were greeted by two excellent bar tenders in Dana and Ngakan. Not only were they skilled cocktail makers, but they went beyond the call of duty to ensure we enjoyed our meal and drinks. They were willing to accommodate off menu cocktails, took the time to ask our preferences and provided quality recommendations. Their warm personalities made us feel at home and began our stay in the most positive of ways. The drinks themselves embodied the outstanding sweetness of the fruits available in Bali and the staff went to great lengths to provide the exact meal we desired. We intended to eat quickly and head to bed, but thanks to Dana and Ngakan we wound up staying for longer and enjoying the the drinks, food and conversation.
We stayed for 10 nights in a St. Regis Suite at the end of May 2017. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after like royalty. From the first day it was amazing how many of the staff knew our names and would greet us and would ask if they could be of any assistance to us. We have stayed in some superb 5* hotels in the Middle East and Far East, but I would have to say that the breakfast in Boneka was by far the best we have ever had. Everything was so fresh and the choice was amazing. The St. Regis Suite is the lowest category of room available. Wow. Free sun hats and tote bag and as much still and sparkling water as you want. Fresh fruit and flowers, excellent toiletries, amenities and towels. Kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping. Pools. Freshwater pool beside the beach. Single depth of 4’ 3” with access to bar. You should try the pina colada in the coconut. Saltwater lagoon. Again single depth of 4’ 3”. Always very quiet and peaceful. Beach. Kept very clean and the guys bring round fresh towels, cold water and assorted treats during the day. All in all a very relaxing holiday made great by the staff and management and we would go back in a heartbeat.
As regular vacationers in Bali, we have heard of the St. Regis Bali and finally decided to try it ourselves. After the stay, we were sold! We now plan to return to this property on our future trips to Bali and we want to start staying at many more St. Regis hotels. It's all about the service and it comes with a smile. We were in the lowest category villa (Gardenia) and it provided everything we could have wished for, including a private pool and bale. The location was perfect - close to the main lobby and the restaurant Boneka in one direction and to the beach and the other restaurant Kayuputi in the other direction. Our villa was also close to the spa. We hope to return to check out some of the more luxurious villas. Thank you, Nico, and your team for a wonderful first of many future stays. A bientot!
My husband and I stayed at the St Regis Bali this February for seven nights. It is a beautiful hotel with very good service levels and we had a lovely stay overall. There were a few things that made us unlikely to return but these things may be personal preference. I’ve reviewed the main aspects of the hotel below: Beach and Pools The beach area at the St Regis is kept beautifully clean and sun loungers are very comfy. We never had a problem finding a sun lounger. The beach attendants were courteous and quick to supply cold water, towels and other little complimentary snacks which was a nice touch. The stretch of beach on Nusa Dua is quite nice with golden sand and clear water. During our stay the water was mostly calm, there was some seaweed on some days but not too much. The big problem on the beach was the amount of rubbish in the sea which was pretty awful. Bits of litter, crisp packets and plastic would float down from the resort up from the St Regis and soon you would be swimming in a river of rubbish. Not nice. I understand that there is not a lot the St Regis can do about this but wanted to record it as I did not realise how bad the problem was and if, like me, you enjoy swimming in the sea this might be a deal breaker for you. Luckily the St Regis does have some lovely pool areas, there is a freshwater pool near the beach which is nice but adjoins to the children’s pool so can be a bit noisy. We really enjoyed the saltwater lagoon as this was something we hadn’t seen before and it was very shady and quiet with some beautiful sculptural features. The strange thing about the lagoon is that it is quite hidden and there is nowhere really to sit around it (there is a sort of pontoon with loungers but there was never anyone there and no towels available so we felt a bit odd sat there). We ended up mostly leaving our stuff by the freshwater pool and walking though the waterfall bit to the lagoon which was ok but not ideal. Food One of our main reasons for choosing the St Regis was the positive reviews about the brunch buffet, we live in London and like to eat at high-end Michelin restaurants as we love food. We found that there was a good variety of foods available with different options on different days, we also tried all of the a la carte options over the course of our stay. Although we did enjoy the brunches we found most of the dishes were just ‘ok’ with none of them really standing out. The high value dishes such as the wagyu beef, foie gras and river lobster omelette in particular were just not that tasty and the quality of the ingredients didn’t seem that good. There was however an excellent selection of fruits, smoothies, sushi and baked goods and the eggs benedicte was consistently well cooked. One aspect that was very disappointing was the tea: if you asked for a pot of English Breakfast tea they would bring you a pot of weak tasteless tea with no tea leaves in the pot. On three separate occasions I tried to explain that the tea leaves should be left in the pot to brew but the staff didn’t seem to understand what I was asking for. I know this is a minor point but I’ve never had a problem at other five star hotels so it seemed an odd oversight. Other than brunch we tended to eat outside the resort as we wanted to try some local food and also the prices in the hotel are very expensive. We had a couple of simple lunches for convenience but found the food more expensive even than London prices. Room We stayed in a basic St Regis suite and were delighted with the room, it was kept spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and was very spacious. The photos on the hotel’s website are a true reflection of the rooms. The linen and towel quality were excellent, as you’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. The quote of the day cards from housekeeping were a thoughtful touch. The St Regis toiletries were particularly nice and luxurious, they are also a generous size and provide everything you need from shampoo and conditioner to facial cleanser. It was disappointing not to have a teapot and milk (even UHT milk) in the room as the teas provided in the room (TWG brand) were very good. I rang to request this and they did eventually bring one but they seemed very confused by the request. Hotel grounds The hotel itself is very grand and has some beautiful areas, the koi pond outside the buffet restaurant is a nice feature. We did think however that the hotel was quite soulless and seemed to be lacking a heart. Nusa Dua is purely a tourist area and as such doesn’t have the connection to Balinese culture that we experienced when we stayed in Ubud. The St Regis is a beautiful hotel but we felt that we could be anywhere in the world during our stay there which was a bit sad. It’s also worth noting that the area doesn’t really have a ‘tropical island’ feel, the roads outside the hotel are very busy and you could see building works (cranes, etc) from our balcony which was a bit of an eyesore. Spa We visited the spa twice during our stay and found the facilities excellent and all the staff and therapists very professional. On our first visit we tried the Balinese massage and although it was the most expensive massage we had in Bali it was also definitely the best, the training and experience of the therapists is evident. The whole spa area is very calm and relaxing and the changing rooms and treatment rooms were beautiful and very clean. The service from beginning to end of the spa experience was excellent. We really enjoyed the sea salt bath therapy that you could take before your spa treatment, we hadn’t done this before and found it very fun and refreshing! I would recommend going early so that you can try this. We enjoyed our first visit so much we booked again for the Remede customized massage which was also excellent – I’d recommend this as an all-round treatment.
Excellent in every single way! Our waitress Tasya was incredible. Me and my girlfriend loved our visit here at Kingcolebar and the afternoon tea was so delicious. They have live piano music in the background and the food is amazing. Recommend this to everyone!
In preparation for our annual JAPA trip we decided too book the St. Regis Hotel for 1 Week beach vacation. I travel a lot and started my career in the hospitality industry in fact my first Job was at the Kempinski Four Seasons Hotel in Munich. Therefore I am quite "picky" when it comes to Hotel stays. And the St. Regis exceeded my high expectations. This choice was spot on. I would give the St Regis Bali 6 Stars over 5 Why: they have the best overal offer in the region. 1) Service. Unparalleled genuine Hospitality. Even at full capacity they offer a superb service. I would like to Highlight Moor and Ari. Both took care of us during Breakfast and Dinner. But also their senior management is close to their guests. I would like to mention Mr. Nico Braunwalder who handled the issue we had quickly and to our full satisfaction. 2) Hardware: rooms are amongst the largest and most luxurious. The Villas though are outstanding in terms of size and interior design. I would recommend a Villa over a suite as you will have much more privacy. 3) restaurants: breakfast is one of the best we ever had. Also their Buffet Dinner is excellent. We also thouroughly enjoyed their gourmand Deli. Where they have best ice creme and espresso. 4) SPA: exceptionally good. Excellent Fittnes center and also Sauna / Steam Bath. 5) Beach/pools. Beach was very clean. We went swimming in the sea every day. Their pool landscape is awesome especially the lagoon Pool where we had our Villa. Overal this Property deserves its excellent ratings. Compared to other regions e.g. Europe you will receive much more value and better service here for a lower price. Even when you take into account the Airfare Bali and the St Regis will be a better offer. We are looking forward to return in the near future.
We are well traveled and have been fortunate to stay at many fantastic resorts. The St. Regis Bali far exceeded our expectations and has set a new bar. There is nothing negative I can say about our 6 night stay. The property is beautiful and exceptionally maintained, as expected. The staff is what puts the experience over the top. We were blessed to have Pram as our butler - with 3 generations staying in our villa he handled all our many requests with a smile and made sure our experience was exceptional. We will miss his wonderful disposition and can do attitude – he is a special person! The breakfast buffet is wonderful with so many options of delicious food but again, the staff took a “really good” thing and made it exceptional. The breakfast staff was kind, very attentive and fun to start our day with – there was never a moment when we had a need that wasn’t anticipated or immediately filled – Job well done. We ate at all the restaurants and had the same experience repeatedly. Our kids who are older and want nothing to do with kids clubs (ages 12,11,10,8) spent hours each day making crafts, playing music and just having fun at kids club They LOVED it – again the staff made it great. If you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity to enjoy this amazing resort do. It is just that good due to the well trained, kind and attentive staff!
