Without any doubt whatsoever, this is the best hotel in Bali. In fact it ranks as one of the best resort hotels we have experienced. The architecture, design and finishes are superb. Service is the best ever, all the staff being wonderful. Special mention for our lovely and professional butler, Baldah. The facilities including the dining rooms, pools, spa and beach are all first class.
we had initially booked a ocean view suite but were amazed to find out that we had been upgraded to a lagoon villa with pool. This room was two levels up from our original booking and we had a amazing 8 night stay at no extra cost.If you can afford it I would definitely recommend these villas as they are truly wonderful and ours was particularly private (villa 806) The salt water lagoon which it backs onto is massive and extremely quiet. We stayed in the beginning of June which I feel was a great time to visit. The hotel was quite quiet for the first half of our stay which probably helped with our upgrade. We booked half board which I definitely think was worth it. Breakfast and dinner were served at boneka restaurant near the lobby and bar. Buffet style on both occasions but with dinner there is a bit of twist. You choose from a menu for the main course and also help yourself to the buffet for appetizers and dessert. Not only that they continuously bring you small dishes throughout your dinner all of which was delicious. The bar was lovely and we found ourselves visiting it for a pre dinner cocktail most evenings all of which were very reasonably priced. The other things I would like to mention which I always search for on reviews are The beach. We are beach people and we weren't disappointed. Yes as previous reviews have stated there are tides here and the tide goes out in the afternoon leaving a shallow lagoon which isn't great but until about 2pm the ocean is a wonderful place to swim and have fun in the waves(though it may be a bit rough for children) When the tide goes out we would use the pools which were great especially as mentioned before the salt water lagoon. Mosquitoes I am a mosquitoe magnet and previous holidays have been ruined because of this but I can assure anyone who is like me you will have no problems. I had two small bites on the first night and that was it. They flog the resort twice a week and that seems to do the trick. I even didn't wear any repellent during the latter part of our break and was still not bitten. I cannot recommend this resort enough. This was our first visit to Bali and the memories will stay with me for the rest of my life. Breathtaking in every way , all the staff go above and beyond with a genuine love of what they do.
I’ve been to bali the 4th time, and this stay with st regis is the best. The deco, amenities, food is up to what you expect from st. Regis. Most importantly, it is the people that make it special. We met Suyasa couple times at the breakfast buffet as well as the Dulang. Each encounter made us feel special. And all the staff go extra miles to make us feel welcome. We would definitely want to come back again.
Having been to Bali several times, the trick is always to find lodging to suit your mood for the trip. If 5-Star luxury, pampering, rest, excellent service without arrogance is what you are looking for then definitely stay at the St. Regis! I was amazed, from check in to check out, at the level of service this hotel provided. My villa was incredible, everything I could want/need was located in the room....and if I didn’t know, my butler was always available via phone to answer the question. There were plenty of dining options available, so jet-lag people fear not. Fitness Center was well equipped and the staff very friendly. Having stayed in Nusa Dua before at a different property, I would r commend this hotel over ALL others. For the price, you get your money’s worth for sure at this hotel....and I will definitely stay here again upon my return.
From the pick up service at the airport to the moment I checked out, everything is perfect. When I arrived at the hotel, the duty manager greet me by name and escort me to the reception. I'm sorry I forgot your name, but thanks for the gentle service. :) I arrived around 8AM, I know it's too early to check in, and I didn't ask to get an early check in because I respect the policy of check in and check out time, so I just asked if they allow me to rest at sunbed until check in time, surprisingly they said my room is ready and I can get into my room immediately. Thanks, Sari (the receptionist), for this. :) The welcome drink is fantastic, very fresh and soothing. :)) And also, thanks Ayun (our Butler) who had explained the facilities clearly and took care of us. We spent our day at the private beach, the beach bar attendant gave us chilled water and towel, also twice snacks along the afternoon. I feel touched. You know, many other hotels, hm I don't know maybe they try to do cost saving, they will not give something free unless we ask them St. Regis is different, I can feel the sincerity in their service. At the evening, we were planning to have dinner at Kayuputi, but we were very hungry so we decide to try dinner buffet at Boneka. There is one outstanding person who serve us from the beginning. His name is Suyasa. By writting this review, I would like to tell the management of St. Regis, do not ever let Suyasa leave, becuase he is the gem! He is very attentive, sincere, he keep offering me a lot of meal, persuade me to order from a la cart menu (you can also order a la carte menu if you buy buffet), replace my cutleries, he really took care of us. I was very impressed. I'm sorry, Suyasa, I would love to order more meal but my tummy was very full I'm afraid I couldn't walk to my room if I order one more dish. :D Breakfast served at Boneka as well, and I surprisingly meet Suyasa again. I feel glad, but also feel sad at the same time, because that means he did jump shift from his shift last night.But even though he had lack of sleep, the quality of his service doesn't feel less than last night. He keep attentively serving us, even recommend the Signature meal and juices which is not in the buffet. The fresh juice taste amazing, very healthy and organic. He recommend us to try their famous Steak and Egg, but he saw that we still have some eggs on our tables that we haven't finished yet, so he suggest to have steak only. This kind of service shows that he works with passion, not just do what the routine does, but he serves effectively. His service is like he imagine how he expect if he is the guest. That makes me and my husband speechless. I don't know what is Suyasa's position, but he deserves the promotion to be the Restaurant Manager (at least). I hope the Management consider that. :) Another staffs were also amazing, but for me Suyasa shines more. For Satoko (Japanese guest relation who assist me to check out), Gustu (the driver that picked me up at the airport), and Pak Sudiman, thank you so much for your assistance. I read Trip Advisor, but never make my own account and never write a review. Simply because I never feel anything special that trigger my heart to write one. But this time, I don't mind to spare my time to write a review as my gratitude to what you guys have done to me. :)
We stayed in two different types of rooms. My brother, his wife and two kids, and also my parents stayed in a suite. It had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a patio (?), private pool and a gazebo and also a dining room. I, on the other hand, stayed in a smaller room (though I would not call it small) with my parents' friend. We had our own balcony, a huge bathroom and I got to pampered myself using the bathtub as long as I wanted for two nights in a row. *never had a bathtub in my house, so......yeah* Love the experiences, love the food that I got to try. Speaking of food, there was this one dish that I ate when we just got into the hotel. I ordered beef cheek (I actually ordered this dish because I heard and saw this dish during the time I was working in a restaurant's kitchen and I was kinda curious about the taste). The tasted blew my mind, tender, juicy, flavourful. As for the rest of the vacation, we did not even spend a time outside the hotel because the hotel itself was so big and has many interesting places for us to explore.
We stayed for a few days as part of a Ball and Lombok holiday. It was our third stay at the St Regis. We were very lucky to receive an upgrade to one of the Lagoon villas. The villa was absolutely stunning, beautifully furnished, amazing butler service and our own private pool. Without doubt the most impressive hotel room we have ever stayed in! Service at the beach and the quality of food was faultless. We had dinner at Kayuputi which was amazing and also very much enjoyed breakfast at Boneka. The spa was great and we both enjoyed our massage. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to our next stay.
My husband and I visited Bali for a week to relax following the completion of a major project at work and we stayed at the St Regis in Nusa Dua the whole time. We experienced an issue with some noisy guests in the suite below us for the first couple of days however it was dealt with promptly by the hotel butler service and duty manager once we raised our concerns. The facilities and food standards were excellent throughout the resort and the service was exemplary. We didn’t even need to consider dining at nearby hotel restaurants as the food on offer at the resort was so good. We had a delightful Balinese dinner at Dulang and also ate at Kayuputi. We also very much enjoyed the friendly staff at Boneka. I can honestly say this is the best service I’ve experienced in any hotel and we will definitely be back.
There may be lots of “B’s” in Bali, from Beach to Bar, Breakfast to Brunch but there is definitely a Capital “A” to be attributed to the Attentiveness of the Staff and Attention to Detail. Amazing villa and the best location on the Island. The food is simply excellent! Top Class.
Pros: - exceptional food, all but one meal were great - nice hotel room (this is entry level room at $700/night) - excellent service. Cons - didn’t feel like great value for money - the place lacks ‘soul’ - small fresh water pool area with limited lounges, had to lounge on the beach which isn’t great between May-Aug - driving constant (though warm) sea wind between late May to August “kite season”, no sheltered lounging area away from the beach - the ‘swimmable’ salt water lagoon looks slight green and not kept as clean as it could be. Lined by villas so they don’t seem very private. - ‘Over all Cash-grab feel’: the price of everything is shamelessly excessive, from high-tea ($70 for the two of us and it wasn’t anything special), to the minibar and pool/beach menus. - Environmentally unfriendly, single use plastic water bottle aplenty and micro beads?!?! Seriously it’s 2018! The better value hotel I just came from has recycled water bottles, no plastic disposable toiletries bottles, no micro beads (not to mention complementary high tea delivered to your villa). Almost gave you two stars.
