The Spot Legian3.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is located in the middle of the hustle-bustle of Legion street. But the good thing about this is that the noise doesn't bother you that much. The restaurant and infinity pool is situated on the terrace and offers a stunning view of the city.
Really enjoyed our stay at the spot. The rooms were clean and the staff were very serviceminded and helpful. The rooftop pool were unfortunately closed, because the filter was broken. But the manager arranged so that we could go to the hotel next door and swim in their pool and have lunch there for only rp 50 000. The hotel is very close to skygarden so its location is perfect if you want to party. But you will here the music from the club at the hotel, so I recommend you to sleep with earplugs.
We stayed a night here on our way from Seminyak and Ubud. Basically booked this room so that I could party in Skygarden. On the plus side the hotel is well located in the Legian Area and the front staff do a decent job I guess. The rooms however are quite dated and the bathrooms were ferel. Definitely needs a thorough renovation. Other than that basic emnites need to be upgraded. My recommendation would be to pay a bit more so that you can enjoy your holiday a bit more. Much better options around if you are willing you spend slightly more.
The Spot Legian is not an expensive hotel. And it is best to keep that in mind, when you stay there :-) The location is great for walking around Legian and Kuta whether you're there for eating, shopping, partying or going to the beach. The staff is really wonderful and will do their very best to give you a nice stay. The room is getting tired but still has good natural light and a comfortable bed. The bathroom however needs thorough cleaning and maybe even a renovation. The location results in quite a bit of noise from the nearby clubs as well as the traffic. It may be difficult to sleep. On the counter in the reception they have earplugs ;-)
Basicly this hotel is good cause the price is cheap The room kinda great with a lot of design cartoon etc Very clean Service really good Sadly the pool is not really good cause too small sorry to say The breakfast is good
This hotel is a big no for family with kids - reason: you can hear music from the bars and Sky Garden club till 3 - 4 am. However, it is perfect for party-goer especially the location, approx. 3 minutes walk to Sky Garden club. We got New York room (double queen bed) which the size is good, I believe better than other normal twin bed room. Bed was made up everyday (we are very happy with such service from a small hotel). We did not purchase the room with breakfast and wanted to have breakfast hence we did purchase their breakfast at Rp. 50k (not cheap but convenient). Choice of American breakfast and local Indonesian breakfast comes with coffee/tea/juice, the taste was acceptable. On the roof top of the hotel, they have small pool but please do not swim in it (there is some algae around the pool). I believe it is more for decoration rather than a pool to swim. We went up for sunset (not disappointing at all) it was quiet but well lit. Overall, we may choose the same hotel if we return to Legian.
If this is what you call "getting what you pay for" then do yourself a favor: Pay More. This is my first trip to Bali, I didn't know what to expect other than crystal clear, blue waters on incredible beaches and affordable prices for a reasonable product... Well, I had thought I'd done my research on my first stop of my tour of Bali... But boy, was I wrong. The rooftop pool is really what got me as it probably does everyone. And it's... Quaint. But dirty just as one of the prior reviews states. Probably never been washed, maybe ever. And is as green as Kuta's beach and trip advisor's logo is. The view... Is the rooftops of a bunch of cheap surrounding buildings (and skygarden). The rooms have ants everywhere. But really, the worst part is the water pressure. Now I had read a few reviews of different hotels here and there having weak water pressure and I chalked it up to people being too needy and wanting some high pressure super soaker power, and when I first turned on the shower: it seemed my suspicions were true. Nope. Wrong again. Not only did the hot water cut off after maybe, oh I don't know 5 seconds, the water slowly started getting weaker, and weaker, and weaker till it literally cutoff all together. Now mind you, I've still got soap all over my body and shampoo still in my hair. So then I think, maybe it's just cause someone else is taking a shower in a neighboring room... Nope. It literally never comes back on. So I have to squat down, so a little water trickles out instead of having to be pushed up the hose and out the top to somewhat get the remaining soap and shampoo off myself. THEN, just to see what's happening, I turn the sink on in the bathroom. YUP, the water to my room is COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. And now I am writing this review, having already booked a room somewhere else for tomorrow (even though I have another night here) and just biting the bullet so that I can get AS FAR AWAY FROM HERE AS POSSIBLE. But wait, the best part is they claim they have no cancellation or change fee policy. But if you read the fine print it says changes made before 6pm on reservation date and after 6pm will be charged one nights stay. HAHAHA so that means you have ONE MINUTE AT 6PM to swiftly make a change to your room. This. Place. Is. A. Complete. Joke. Oh and there's nowhere to claim your two "welcome to hell" drinks because the bar on the roof looks like it's been abandoned for YEARS. They should change their name to THIS IS NOT THE SPOT TO STAY LEGIAN. I tried to give you the benefit of the doubt, but this is what happens when you are lazy. (And on my part, cheap).
Nothing much to say about the hotel itself..very basic room for you just to sleep to rest your body after a long hour enjoying Bali before continue again early in the morning. Breakfast even need to order and the worst part...tasteless. But it's really cheap..and just a minutes walk to the center of night life area in Kuta Bali...that's the plus point
Hotel was good rooms quirky but cool and had good aircon. Its really loud at night with Sky Gardens up the road pumping out tunes but that's what you get being so close to everything. Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but all in all nice hotel and staff for really good price ☺
I have just checked into this hotel after being bumped from another ZenRooms hotel due to a technical error. Upon entering the hotel the staff weren't that friendly and I got shown to my room only to find the bathroom was filthy and there was food crumbs on my bed linen and it was covered in ants. I asked them to change the bedding which they did while I went up for a swim. The pool looks amazing in the pictures and could be but there are many green slimy patches on the tiles in the pool which I am sure is not too healthy. The curtains in the room are so flimsy I am sure at night it will be fairly light in the room and not ideal for a good night sleep. Even as I sit here writing this review and waiting to see if I can go to another ZenRooms hotel within the area I have ants crawling over me. If they cleaned the pool and rooms properly and added some English channels to the tv (I did my back in and cannot do a lot so was looking forward to some tv watching) and got better curtains it would be as good as there Maxine hotel in Werduka Legian which is a great place to stay and around the same price. My advice is there are better options.
