The room was decent with the best feature being the massive bed! My girlfriend frequently hogs the bed but not this time! The location is 10-15 min drive. They offer a free shuttle bus to and from the town centre which was very handy. The grounds were fantastic and had several pools. Breakfast was average, lunch was poor and dinner was very good. Didn't enjoy the lack of a front door on the bathroom! Takes your relationship to a new level! Walls were also so thin we could hear our neighbours every move and when they watched tv until 5am it ruined our sleep. Staff very friendly and always on hand to help out.
The entire hotel reeks of mould, our first room full of mozzies and sewer stench, the entire place is filthy all rooms need a thorough scrub and clean, bath towels smell of chlorine, windows cannot be secured, blinds and curtains don not work properly nor give adequate privacy. The sewer was overflowing, drains are blocked and horrible odours throughout the once pleasant gardens. Apparently the mansion was built in 1998 and shows a total lack of maintenance since that time, construction still going. The abundance of staff with very little to do, they are very polite and friendly. Senior management obviously not doing there job. Breakfast is by far the best food on there woeful menu. We are counting down the minutes before we leave, can't wait to get to Seminyak where things are fresh, friendly and clean.
This is a most peaceful retreat, where sacred art and the comforts of five star hospitality meet. A true treasure in the outskirts of ubud. Close enough for a quick jump to the hub of the art town and if you stay in, it is a perfect haven. Great breakfast. Beautiful friendly staff. Highly recommended.
The design of the property leaves a stream of continuously pleasant surprises. impeccably clean & well maintained. Comfortable & relaxing common spaces and friendly staff. My wife and I enjoyed strolling through the beautiful vignettes of Balinese splendor. Equally valuable for business events, couples romantic getaways and family vacations. I highly recommend!
I stayed here with my partner for 3 nights in August 2017. The room was fabulous; spacious, comfortable bed, mozzy nets, fruit, tea making facilities and a bath. It has air con too which was a plus, as ubud was scorching in August. The hotel itself was beautiful - I think 4-5 pools, a gym, plenty of seats and loungers and 2 bars to choose from. The only downside was that you couldn't really walk into ubud centre. The hotel provided a free shuttle every 2 hours, but when we wanted to go for dinner we had to get the 7pm shuttle and the last pick up was 9pm which isn't long enough when you want to look around.
This hotel is in stunning grounds, there are 5 pools, seated areas, gardens, paths and so peaceful. We had a slight problem with our room (noise due to rehearsals for national independence day celebrations nearby). Once we mentioned to reception that is was a little distracting we were moved to another room further in the complex and the staff could not apologise more. The breakfast was great with a large amount of choice, all fresh products. There is an outdoor bar area in front of the hotel but this wasn't open unfortunately, so no real area for a drink after your meal at night. Entertainment on most nights whilst you were eating. Free shuttle into Ubud itself but 9pm is the last bus back, although on approx. £5-6 in a taxi.
Beautiful mansion, took a while to find our way around the grounds but was easy in the end. picturesque rooms and gardens. Peaceful and relaxing. Everything you need, bus every hour to Ubud town and back. Staff friendly, English isn't great but good enough. Food was lovely. We travelled at a quiet time so we nearly had the place to ourselves.
We found the mansion hotel really nice, gardens ans swimming pools are beautiful, our room was quite huge, well decorated, clean and functional. You need less than 10 minutes to go to Ubud, employees are alle very helpful... we really enjoyed and liked this place !
Stayed here in early August and was blown away. The grounds are amazing, the rooms are lovely and there is an incredible variety of pools to jump into. The shuttle to get into town was incredibly useful.
We recently stayed 3 days in Mansion hotel in a 2 room villa with private pool. We have 3 and 9 yrs old kids. It was shocking to learn that rooms are not connected at all. Staff was not very helpful with this. If you have small kids you should be aware of this fact. Pools were not clean, even in august it was cool for me. Staff was nice. Breakfast was with very limited variety and no fresh juice. Hotel food was not very good.
