The room was excellent, the service was good and the included breakfast was good, including the eggs made to order. The location is somewhat isolated, which is not unusual for a resort, but they offer shuttles and free bicycles, if you are interested in exploring the area. The only minor glitch was the fact that the internet was unavailable one morning, apparently due to the internet provider and outside the control of the resort.
The energy of this resort is very positive, the staff well trained. Location, spa, cleanness, details all deserve 10 over 10. Highly recommended. The garden is clean and maintained well. Most of the bali hotels are pretending the nature is beautiful it self. But in The Lovina , you feel the difference. Well maintained gardens, beautiful sea, great spa. I cant not ask for more! 🙏🏻
We went to the Lovina as our second stop on Bali in our honeymoon trip. We got an upgrade to a beach suite and are having a wonderful and pleasant stay in this place. Espacially the food was really great.
Absolutely fantastic hotel , the staff at this hotel , each and everyone of them , were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were spotlessly clean , spacious , and were fitted out with everything you could wish for . The hotel is set on the beach , black sand , but if you think that might bother you , after a couple of days you get used to it . Nice sized pool and immaculate gardens .Comfortable, quality loungers at both the pool and the beach Food at the breakfast buffet was varied .plenty of choice but always tasty . The hotel operated a hotel buggy/shuttle bus that took you from the hotel to wherever you wanted to go in Lovina , and if you got the restaurant/bar or wherever you were to ring the hotel they would come and pick you up and it was a free service .We made use of this service everyday. Dolphin watching boats are on the beach right outside the hotel , we went and we saw lots of them This hotel is a gem on the quieter north coast of Bali , and i would like to thank Rob , Lee and all their staff for making this a memorable , highly enjoyable stay at a brilliant hotel Thanks "the winging poms mate for the UK"
On arrival from a Hong Kong stay from UK, I was tired and grumpy, the proverbial whinging pom no less. This hotel was a delight to the eyes after what was an awful journey north from Denpasar. (Our driver was caught up in Hindu ceremonies and the journey time almost doubled to five hours. So yes, I was grumpy and very tired. ) Anyways, my mate and I were promptly told that we had received a free upgrade which was pretty exciting. We had purposely chosen a mountain view room (which, may I add, would have definitely sufficed, they are gorgeous!) The upgrade room was spectacular. Clean, spacious, beautifully modern and bright. But I wasn’t happy about it. You see, it overlooked the pool, which is something I always purposely avoid. I can’t bear paying out good money to have to listen to others noisy children all holiday, causing havoc when their parents are too busy relaxing to care to actually do some parenting to benefit other guests. You know what I mean? Next day I complained to reception. Within ten minutes, Rob, the owner, was at our room apologising. Within two minutes he had us sorted. Within half an hour we moved to another upgrade free of charge. And it was fantastic. From thereon in, we thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic two weeks. Very, very hot weather that at times I simply couldn’t tolerate so I just lay in the shade reading books or music in my lugs. Otherwise, relaxed in our own private suite and dipping in and out of our plunge pool. The beach has a rugged charm with the black sand but, it was beautifully peaceful and relaxing and more than adequate for my needs ( comfortable loungers and the sun out! ) The Hotel even provides shoes for your swim so you can avoid hurting your feet on any bits of sharp coral. And I advise you to use them, there are also some beautiful sea creatures there that you don’t want to stand on/kill. The water is calm and shelves out gently so it is very safe. Lifeguards are present at all times too though. Occupied some time at the hotels spa, which is very, very good value. A 90 minute massage for less than £20 done to perfection! Brilliant! The food. Amazing. And lots of choice every day. Some things on as standard on a daily basis but differences in main dishes made it an interesting and very tasty delight. All in all, a fantastic holiday. And most definitely worth every minute of the journey. You can stay in the south, keep it and keep its tourist traps happy if that’s your thing. But if you want to drive a couple more hours for some absolute beauty, it’s here, at this hotel. It’s a no brainer! Mr Rob Stahl and team, we cannot thank you enough for a completely mesmerising experience. But, thank you so much. We will definitely be on that hotel buggy again in the near future, soon as! Guys, get it booked NOW!
This is a really great place on Bali. We lived in a suite with view over the sea and pool and it was magnificient. Great friendly and kind staff, great pool, very perfect location in lovina. Great poolbar/restaurant. Food is nice and there is cozy life Music. It is difficult to compare Lovina with other hotels because Lovina was very unique and fantastic. We would diffinetly recommend The Lovina to anyone going to Lovina.
We visited The Lovina whilst staying at another nearby hotel to make use of the loungers and have lunch. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the burger really was one of the best I’ve ever had! Whilst walking back to our hotel after dinner, we were met by a pack of stray dogs which barked at us and chased us. We just bout ran back to The Lovina where they kindly gave us a lift back to our hotel in a golf buggy, avoiding the pack of dogs which looked as if they would attack us! I can’t comment on the hotel itself but as for the loungers, lunch and staff, it’s nothing short of perfection.
So we decided to get away from the maddening crowds of South Bali and chill in the North. We picked the Lovina as the best offer in the region and weren’t disappointed. Around 4 years old and luxuriously appointed with modern facilities it’s a fabulous place to relax and luxuriate. What we weren’t expecting was to become part of the Lovina family. What make the place exceptional is the 150+ wonderful staff there. These guys make the place feel a home. From the wonderful gardeners who cut fresh flowers for our room daily, to the thoughtfulness of housekeeping, attention to detail from front of house, and the food and the food and beverage team that made us feel we were sitting in grandma’s kitchen. My wife cried when we said goodbye. I kid you not. It’s that good. Thanks Lovina xx
We stayed one night here and found it very cosy. Large bedroom with separate lounge and balcony opening into nice pool for just 8 rooms. Main pool also good, and sea was super calm and warm. Dolphin watching before breakfast was great although it has maybe become too popular? I counted 43 boats in all chasing the pods around the bay.
Beautiful hotel. Massive rooms. Excellent cocktails and meals. Very happy with our stay here. Complimentary bicycles make it easy to get around and explore. Complimentary stand up paddle boards and kayaks offer a great opportunity to try these activities out. Thank you for a great stay.
