Wow ... Laguna we love you! What a beautiful place to relax and escape. The staff were amazing - they did not miss a beat .. we were there for 6 nights and there was not one mistake, mishap, rude staff member, cold dinner, incorrect order, misunderstanding or negative response to any request made. The grounds are stunning, the staff have a permanent smile and cannot do enough and the rooms are clean, beautiful and very comfortable. See you all next year .. thank you so much!
The Laguna is located just at the sandy beach of Nusa Dua and it's an excellent place to stay. It's pure luxury: with the beautiful gardens/laguna, the fine restaurants (esp. the Arwana restaurant - try the superb 'daily Chef's choice of sushi and sashimi'!) and the nice and quiet rooms with fine beds. And every employee is greeting you every time with a great smile and is trying to feel you very welcome. It's the place to be for a (romantic) holiday or breakout. But there is a 'but'. For us the Laguna is 1) too big and therefore a bit impersonal (you feel yourself sometimes more a roomnumber then a guest with a name) and - excuse me - a little bit too eager to sell. If I want to drink or eat something, I surely will buy - otherwise I wouldn't stay in such a luxury hotel. My advice to the management: targets are important, but please keep on managing your quests as prio number one!
Pre-booked a romantic dinner package on the beach for our honeymoon. Transportation was arranged by this hotel and the seating area was beautiful. Our table was situated on the beach facing the water, the ambience was very romantic. However, the places was bombarded with mosquitoes and bugs, but they did spray the table a couple of times to help fight them off. The review we give for the food and service was very average. We paid a lot for this package and did not feel the food or service lived up to this. We have had other expensive meals and didn't once feel like we got ripped off, if you're paying that much money the food should live up to your expectation. There was a huge delay in getting our food, waiting for very long periods with our waiter no where to be seen. For a 5-course meal, we were there for more than 3 hours. Not all the dishes tasted that great and we were just annoyed why there was such a big gap in between each course - one of the gaps was about 40 minutes. All in all, for the price you pay, not worth it. The ambience and setting is nice but that's all you're paying for pretty much.
From the moment i arrive "home" at The Laguna from the airport i am starting to relax. The welcome we receive and the overall ambiance of the resort is best in Class if i could give it more stars i would, love the beach and the pools and of course the staff and food. We stay put at the hotel with a few walks around the corner to the Bali collection for some shopping as all our needs are met in the resort. Special mention to Duty Manger Ristinto and his staff this was the best stay to date the resort and service was first class.
the gardens are beautiful, many birds and squirrels. We stay in a studio, nice rooms, balcony with a view. Clean, functional and lovely. The restaurants are all amazing, good and fast service, delicious food and drinks. A kit flying food at breakfast! Well done. Thanks to Mr.Gunnar who took good care of us. What a wonderful holiday in paradise
We visited for a lovely Easter Sunday brunch. Both inside and outside seats are comfortable. Seafood was amazing and fresh. Suckling pig and other BBQ dishes are yummy too! Large variety of food and drinks. Even though we didn't stay at this hotel, the environment and beach looks great. Will definitely come back again.
I have just returned from a stay at this amazing resort, it was my second stay. I can not fault it at all. The restaurants - the food is second to none, the pools - so many to choose from, the immaculate gardens. The Laguna is staffed by the most attentive, professional, caring, kind and thoughtful staff who took care of me from the moment I was collected at the airport. Lucia the GM was there to greet me upon arrival at the hotel and was beyond welcoming, her interaction with the guests was like nothing I have ever seen in all my trips to Balis various hotels. I would like to thank Lucia, Ester, Rendy, Dwi, the Butler who escorted me to my room (I'm so sorry I can't recall his name but he wears glasses) and especially I would like to thank Adi the front office manager for going above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay a safe one (I travel alone - I hope he sees this review). I hope to return this Christmas. If you are considering going to this hotel I would highly recommend it, it is one of those hotels where you don't need to leave the resort the entire time you are there, they have 2 restaurants, a deli and 3 bars, all staffed by the most wonderful people you will ever meet.
Stayed here as part of our honeymoon in Bali, after 4 days in Seminyak. Beautiful hotel with stunning gardens and pool areas, great rooms too. We stayed initially in a standard pool view room which was huge, and for the final 2 nights we upgraded to a pool villa which was just stunning. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and the few times we ate in the main buffet restaurant, we were really impressed. The only slight downside to the resort was that the food and drinks were very pricey compared to other areas of Bali, being quite a tourist driven exclusive area, this obviously pushes the prices up for all the hotels on this strip. We did walk along the sea front to the bali collection (large open air shopping centre) for cheaper food though. Overall really pleased with our choice to come here for our honeymoon, would recommend
On arrival after 3 nights in a Boutique Hotel in Ubud, I have to say we were disappointed and wondered what we had done by booking the Laguna, it seemed so big and soul less...BUT after 24 hours we were soaking up the sun and had already chosen our favourite pool and loungers....and do be aware the Laguna is very well named, there are lots of pools...or lagoons. The gardens too are beautiful and for sure the staff work extremely hard keeping everything perfect. Whilst the Buffet is a bit chaotic,,, but then I hate buffets, it always feels like a feeding frenzy, but for some of the days (when busy) the Arwana is open for breakfast which is far more relaxed and much nicer. We also ate at the Arwana for dinner a couple of nights, we had a special New Year's Eve (Nyepi) dinner which was fabulous and a fair price too. For some reason, we never got to the spa, although we used it to freshen up before leaving the hotel and it looked lovely. Being right on the beach front you can walk along the beach and through other hotel gardens... OK none of this is authentic Bali, but the staff were, like all Balinese, charming and friendly and whilst you could have been anywhere exotic....that doesn't stop it from being lovely. So in spite of day 1 culture shock, we succumbed to Laguna's own charm and had a great week.
Its been a while since we were here last, more than 4 years but still some of the same faces, was greeted by Dwi Supartha who is now head concierge, he looked after us so well when he was in the sales area and well deserves his new position. We always book a Villa and the service is second to none, anything you want at any time day or night, nothing is to much trouble, everything is spotless and the staff are some of the friendliest on the island, probably any island for that matter! Have stayed in the lagoon acces rooms in the past which are reat if you just want to take a quick dip in the pool from your small verandah. Beach is clean and safe and the walk to Bali collection for dinner is very short and choice of restaurants is great. Highly recommend Laguna to anyone..
